Marriott Hotels in Beihai

Excellent! Many guides recommend Marriott for family trips, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The location is super close to Silver Beach. Our room was upgraded for free, offering a sea view right from the window – very convenient. Silver Beach itself has showers, locker facilities, free photo ops, swimming gear, beach toys, a snack bar, eateries, McDonald's, and souvenir shops (fridge magnets weren't as cheap as at the local stalls, but I didn't check if the quality was the same, as I was busy with the kids. Just a side note: the 'Folk Culture Street' gets very crowded at night, with many snack and specialty shops. Popular stalls have slow service, and even if you order online in advance, you still have to queue for pickup – my personal experience wasn't great. I recommend the white sesame water and durian cake, but we couldn't try much else with the kids). Every staff member was friendly and welcoming. The room amenities pretty much covered all our family's needs. It would be even better if they could provide disposable bathtub liners, laundry detergent, or a simple children's stroller. There are two restaurants, one Chinese and one Western, and the breakfast offers both with a rich variety of options. Of course, the Guangxi noodles are highly recommended. The swimming pool has a kids' section, and the cinema plays animated movies at scheduled times, with tent elements that kids love. The kids' club was a great place to burn off energy when it rained. There are also plenty of family activities; when the weather is good, the outdoor pool and garden have timed events like fishing and bubble fun. We unfortunately missed out due to the rain. Indoors, there are activities like rubbing and hairpin making. Two nights weren't enough to experience everything. If we get the chance to 'soak' in Beihai deeply again, we'll definitely stay at the Marriott!
