All the five star reviews are well deserved. Tony & Steve are welcoming and friendly hosts. The rooms are so comfortable with luxury extras. Breakfast was excellent ( the best poached eggs ever) . The main priorities of comfort , great food and cleanliness are all achieved but you get so much more…. excellent quality bed linen, gowns & slippers available and delicious shortbread and chocolate. It really is really well run and top quality b & b. Thank you

Steve and Tony are wonderful hosts. Extremely welcoming, with a dedicated space in the back garden for bike storage. Rooms are warm and welcoming. Breakfast next morning was beautiful and South Lodge is a 3 minute walk to the promenade and the crashing waves - railway station is no more than a 5 minute walk away...

Wonderful stay would not hesitate to return, lots of lovely extra touches. A little gem of a place with welcoming hosts

This is a little gem of a place , the hosts are absolutely amazing at making your stay comfortable and accommodating with lovely little perks like home made delicious biscuits in your room and a great selection of beverages the bed was so comfortable and warm the shower was great . The breakfast was above and beyond with quality ingredients you sure go away set up for the day , we will be back again that’s for sure 😊

Wow! This place is a gem. The owners Tony and Steve are so welcoming and helpful. The property is spotless. The bed comfortable with all little extras... chocolate on the pillow, room cleaned each day, selection of hot drinks in the room and homemade shortbread to die for! Great attention to detail. Breakfast....well if you have a huge appetite tick the request for full English. It's huge! There's yoghurt, fruit salad and cereal for those who don't want to gain 10lbs! All the produce is lovely and cooked to perfection.. If you can stay here, you should. Lovely place to stay. The area is quiet, easy to park (two spaces on the front).

South Lodge’s location is perfect. Steve & Tony were excellent hosts and very friendly and helpful, the room and all the little extras in the room is a lovely touch especially the home made biscuits. We honestly couldn’t have asked for anymore, It is by far one of the best B & Bs we’ve stayed in and the best breakfast’s we’ve had in a B & B. We will definitely be returning. Claire & Gary.

I booked 2 double rooms to stay here with friends for a night. On arrival, we had free off street parking and we were greeted by a lovely chap who made us feel welcome. Our rooms were perfect and the beds were comfortable. Lots of little touches made the room feel really special, such as complimentary handmade biscuits, and chocolates on the pillows. The room was immaculate and well kept. We had a comfortable sleep and headed down to our preordered breakfast in the morning. We had one of the best English breakfasts I've ever tasted, with a lovely selection of jams on the table. Even the mini bottle of orange juice was a lovely touch. The chef brought our breakfast to us and was a lovely pleasant chap too. I have no complaints about this B&B, its a great little place. I will definitely return and will recommend to friends and family.

This is the best b and b I have stayed in. Our hosts were wonderful, friendly and funny, and made us feel so at home. The rooms were spacious with all you could want including iron, ironing board, hair dryer, fan and coffee making facilities. The hand made orange shortbread was gorgeous, and the chocolate on the pillow a nice touch. The breakfast was superb! The best organic bacon I have had for over 40 years! So much choice freshly cooked to order and a great fruit salad. We will definitely be going back!!

What amazing hosts Tony and Steve are. Nothing was too much trouble. The homemade lemon shortcake biscuits in the room were a lovely touch as was all the other little touches like bottled water, toiletries in the bathroom etc. the breakfast was enormous and beautifully cooked to order. On our last day, our daughter called in to say goodbye and Steve made her tea and toast and wouldn’t accept any additional payment. I can’t praise this place enough. Spotlessly clean, close the promenade and exceptional hosts. Thank you ☺️
