"There’s a receptionist who was very nice, she helped us with our luggage before we checked in and even after we checked out. She’s very friendly and also professional! About the room, it’s good overall with the price. Everything was totally fine to stay there for a short trip!"
"Staff were amazing!! Can’t thank them enough for guiding us along this trip.
Sadly the room was not up to standard,
Really disappointed with the bathroom, silverfish in the sink and bath, shower was unusable due to clogged trains, beds were clean. Room included iron and board alongside other little amenities.
General hygiene of the hotel was great, downstairs was beautiful, although we didn’t eat/ drink from the bar and restaurant it did look very nice.
View was beautiful but would’ve been nicer if the windows were clean and hairless."

"For a single room with a double bed, it was really good value - comfortable, clean and not cramped. This room had a view of the picturesque castle. Service was friendly and helpful. For a three star hotel of vintage decor and architecture, it was pleasantly lit and not dingy and dark. A very convenient location - just a few minutes walk to the castle, the restaurants and other amenities. Will definitely consider booking here again."
"Their waiters were easy-going, but they smelled a smell before walking to the corridor and entering the room. Fortunately, we lived in G/F because there was no elevator. Fortunately, the hot water in the bath was hot enough."
"This hotel was very modern, when we arrived the service was amazing, the staff were super helpful. The rooms were so spacious so perfect for two girls who came for a concert! Couldn’t fault it and highly recommend."
"The hotel is located in the city centre, with a supermarket and Chain fast food restaurants nearby, including 24 hours McDonald’s. The hotel design follows an industrial style, the rooms are spacious, and the bed is extremely comfortable. The restroom locate on the sixth floor has a very quiet and elegant atmosphere. The breakfast provided by the restaurant is delicious. The only downside is that the elevator was out of order during my stay."
"Very nice and helpful reception service. The only minus of my demand is the lack of some products in the restaurant. My surprise was an iron and ironing board in the room. All in all, I will definitely book this hotel again."
"Great location, 5 minutes walk to major commercial areas / high streets / Cardiff Market. Bus stops nearby.
Room is small & basic but very clean, hot shower and fully air-conditioned (cooling and heating that guest can have full control on temperature setting)"
"The only reasons I gave 4/5 stars for service was the self service hot beverage station and making your own toast. Order their specials better, however, this time my poached eggs were not soft. Excellent wine and excellent bar lunch which they allowed us to eat in the restaurant which was a bonus. I love this location. Walks through the wetlands and to Penarth and easy links to Barry Island. Spa brilliant and the quiet area next to the gym brilliant for reading"

Great
拔拔記Undeniably, the location of the hotel is perfect as it is very close to the Cardiff Castle and the city center, only few minutes to there. The hotel also provides carpark with a reasonable charges. The staff is friendly, except that when we requested 2 more pillows, the staff questioned us why we did not take the spare pillows in the wardrobe where he didn't realize that those pillows were taken by his colleague who took them to set up 2 sofa beds for us. We explained this to him but it appeared to me that he was very impatient and impolite and cut the line. At last, of course the staff did not follow up.
Same as other advise, the hotel really needs renovation as the decoration and fittings are old and outdated.
GGuest UserBooked one night when I thought I was paying for 2. For the price I was paying, I was expecting much more. Hotel needs modernisation, very much out of date. Heater in the room doesn't work so it's still cold. Next to a loud street (but that's my problem, I should have known better). The photos on trip.com make it look much better than it actually is. I think this room is worth £50 a night max. I wouldn't consider paying more. Disappointing.
GGuest UserClayton was okay as far as hotels go, it was nice having a view of Cardiff from a top floor, staff were friendly too.
The Gym was tiny for the size of the hotel, the bedroom was a standard double room, the reviews said that the Clayton had been newly refurbished, but felt that the room was dated. Due to windows not being able to be open due to H&S, there was no fresh air, just air con. The room was mostly clean, few stains on the carpet, and floor felt dusty.
The hotel location was great, near the train station and in town, but for the cost, I was expecting something much better, as the night before we had a much cheaper hotel, and rooms came with kitchens, and were very modern - wish I had stayed at that one for the extra few nights.
EEli_hrtThe staff are very polite and friendly. The breakfast was delicious and enough. Very clean and pleasant rooms. Central location, within walking distance from the centre. In general, this is hilton, but you should remember that it is not a 5-star one. Recommended
YYimingThe hotel is very close to the train station (less than 2 mins walk) and the city center.
The staff were very friendly but it seems that they somehow lack of experience. I booked a room on trip.com and had prepaid for the stay. But I was charged again for the stay when I checked out. Thank god trip.com was able to refund from their side.
The room has no window, so only the Air Con provides ventilation. Bathroom can smell sometimes.
GGuest UserI really enjoyed my stay overall. The location was fantastic—on a beautiful street—and the hotel building itself is stunning. When I arrived, I was warmly welcomed by a very kind Italian gentleman, which gave me a great first impression. My room, though located in a separate area, was clean, modern, and nicely decorated. Everything looked fresh and well thought out.
However, I was disappointed to find visible stains on the bed sheets. While I believe they had been washed, the stains hadn’t come out and the sheets were still used, which didn’t match the high standard the rest of the hotel presented. I think they should have replaced them.
Another minor inconvenience was the bathroom light, which was automatic and triggered the extractor fan. This meant that even during the night, using the bathroom caused the noisy fan to stay on for a while, which could’ve been avoided with a manual light switch, in my opinion.
Despite these issues, the stay was mostly very positive, but I can’t give a full five stars because of the sheets. Hopefully this can be improved for future guests.
GGuest UserIt was a lovely stay , the service provided was great and the senior gentleman staff at the reception was lovely and welcoming. See you again 🙏
TThismorningiwokeupinI stayed here for a business trip for one week. The room seemed to be clean but it is so dark that you can’t really tell if it is clean or not. That’s actually an issue - the lightening is bad. I couldn’t really work in the room since it had only a yellow ambient lightening and not a normal main source of light. The bathroom can be slightly cold if you don’t leave the door open so that warm air from the A/C can enter. It is shameful that they don’t have a breakfast included, especially for long stays in the hotel which is not so cheap and out of the center… at least one small sandwich would make things better, but nop 👎🏼. Another thing is that the area is not very nice. Unless you have to do something in that area, i don’t recommend you to stay. I was even told by taxi drivers to not walk around alone after it gets dark. Before I knew that, I did take a walk and it really felt a bit unsafe. The staff was ok, I didn’t have much contact with them. Only had an incident when I arrived - they couldn’t find me in their system (it was booked under other name by mistake but I actually changed it a week before arrival so I don’t know why they didn’t have updated information). There is a small gym, but almost all machines, except one, are for cardio exercises. Almost no restaurants or shops in the area.
GGuest UserWe arrived at Cardiff Central by train, which is 15mins walking to this Premier Inn. It was very welcoming and staff friendly, rooms clean, with as much tea and coffee, which you took from the travellers store at the main entrance. My only gripe is as I have dietary requirements, They couldn't cater for them and had to make do with what was on offer. No gluten free food at night, Only what I would call general burgers, lasagne, steak battered fish and chips. Only veg on offer was peas. In this day and age Hotels need to cater for a variety of people's health conditions. Vegan/vegetarians are not Gluten free or Ibs sufferers or Celiacs. Which are complicated problems. It would be helpful if they offered something which could be adapted. .
AAnonymous UserNice and spacious. Check in and out were very simple and easy. I love everything about it. Very close to city center and within walking distance. Worth every penny spent on it. Would recommend it to anyone
