GGuest UserIf you look for a nice quiet place for a relaxing stay, this is a superb ryokan in the area that I would recommend.
The ryokan building is beautifully decorated, despite its age. I particularly appreciate the sincere service from the manager and hosts. You can rely on them to take care of your stay. They could also provide pick-up and drop-off service at Utsumi Station.
Dinner and breakfast were well-prepared with natural ingredients. Not only are they delicious but also presented nicely. The lobby also provides complimentary drinks and snacks - you can enjoy a little footbath there with a glass of whiskey and some nuts.
Of course you cannot miss the marvellous scenery of the beach.
The only downside is the public onsen bath was a little small. But in general we loved the stay.

Aajm0817Our family of 5 booked the room with an open air bath this January 2025.
We definitely enjoyed our stay. The bath was warm and nice despite the windy and cold weather. The room/s were beautiful, the view of Ise Bay (especially at sunset) was spectacular, and the food was great, especially the dinner. The staff were really accommodating and nice, they even helped us book a taxi to the airport after we checked out.
For those traveling to Shuku Kaifuu by public transportation, I recommend giving them a call before checking in so they could arrange a pick up service from Utsumi (train) station.

GGuest UserIt looks like a condominium at first glance. (Actually, the 5th floor or more was a condominium, and there seemed to be a resident.)
The front desk is on the 2nd floor, and there are many chairs on the 1st and 2nd floors, so there is plenty of room. I stayed in the room alone, so I could use it comfortably. Also. Breakfast was satisfying with a lot of items!
The only thing that made me worried was the entrance to the large communal bath. It was quite open and I was harassed that I could see the inside.

AAnonymous UserThe room is large, with massage chairs, open-air wind, sea view terraces. The surprise is that the room TV is smart tv built-in Netflix, which really feels at home. The kaiseki cuisine at night is rich and tastes good. There are different fresh fish dishes. It is very private to eat in the box and it feels good.

AAnonymous UserI feel like this is an underrated hotel. (But it may only be more convenient for those traveling by car. There seems to be no public transportation around.) This beach is amazing. You can walk 200 meters away and the water is only up to your knees. The water is clear and the waves are flat, which is very suitable for water wrestling [laughing] ] The hotel also thoughtfully prepares parasols and beach shoes for guests. It is only 50 meters away from the hotel to the beach [smile] The hot spring is a unique carbonate spring with salty water.

AAnonymous UserI stayed here for work. It was a good distance from the work site and the price was more reasonable than the surrounding hotels, so it was great. I had no problems and was able to relax.
