This is one of the worse hotels that I’ve ever stayed. I don’t usually leave a comment but this time I have decided to write a comment for the hotel so that you don’t be the unfortunate ones. I checked in on the 22nd Dec 23 and checked out on 24th Dec 23. The front desk staff is unfriendly and helpless. When I arrived at the hotel, I asked the front desk where the washroom is. Her reply was 2nd floor. I went to the second floor and there’s no signage to show where the washroom is and I couldn’t find it. Then, I asked one of the cleaners and her reply was there’s only washroom in the hotel room. Oh gosh, the cleaner didn’t even know there’s washroom available at the second floor. At the end, I found it. The elevator was under maintainance and I have to climb up the staircase to reach level 5. The staircase is dim and full of garbage. The room is spacious but it’s dim as well. Overall, I don’t enjoy my stay in this hotel.

The picture shown on trip.Com associated with the hotel is not a picture of the hotel. The hotel banner name is Lavande hotel which is different that the name provided on the checking voucher. In this area of town the street names are not very clear. Hence it can be quite difficult to find the hotel if you walk to the hotel from the subway and use the web picture and name provided.

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Thank you very much. Rooms are old and a bit run down. In theory the rooms are well equipment with all sorts of amenities, but that does not cover up the fact that the hotel needs to be renovated. Please be careful when choosing your room. There are rooms without window and rooms that have a window but face the backside of the hotel (hillside). Although there is a window, it goes into a cave with no daylight whatsoever. Choose a room that faces the road and the river, if you can.

The hotel is in a good location. Turn left and walk for 10 minutes to Raffles. Turn right and walk along the river for 10 minutes to Hongyadong. Turn right and climb the slope in the alley to Chaotianmen subway station on Line 1. It is very close to Jiefangbei, Baixiangju and Huguang Guild Hall. I often travel for business, and this is the most filthy, messy and bad Lavande I have ever stayed in. I originally booked a deluxe twin room, but when I booked it, there was no reminder that there was a wall outside the window. When I went in, I found that there was a wall outside the window.
