The hotel is part of the scenic spot and is busiest from 5-11pm, so taxis are a bit reluctant to drop off at the hotel because of road closures at that time. This is mentioned when booking the hotel so it is expected. In saying that, staying at the hotel means you don't have to travel anywhere to be in the middle of all the action. The place had rhythm and pulse all day and most of the night. The hotel itself is an adventure to explore but be warned there are stairs, stairs and more stairs. We didn't find any Western food, but there is plenty of hot and spicy food around.

My stay at Ascott Raffles City Chongqing was deeply disappointing and unsatisfactory. I had booked a deluxe suite expecting a city view, as indicated in the listing. Instead, I was given a room facing an office block, with such close mutual visibility that privacy concerns were unavoidable. When I raised this issue, I was informed of a ”misunderstanding” in the listing and was told that to receive the room I had initially expected, I would need to pay an additional 30%. This situation was particularly frustrating, given that the oversight was entirely on the hotel's part, with no fault of my own. Moreover, I was mistakenly accused by the front reception of playing loud music one night, despite the fact that I wasn't playing any music. This unfounded complaint, combined with the lack of initiative to verify the claim before contacting me, highlighted a significant lapse in service quality. Given this experience, I advise future travelers to consider establishments that better prioritize customer satisfaction. Based on my positive experiences, the Intercontinental at Raffles City Chongqing offers a more reliable alternative.

The location, furnitures and architecture gives a unique feeling and experience so in general i think this hotel worth a visit. + The location was very calm and the sunset view on the river was amazing. + Large room with very high ceiling - The swimming pool is more a decoration than usable, it doesn't feel clean. I only swam one time and didn't feel comfortable. - No breakfast around and no laundry service. - The internet was pretty bad randomly, sometimes it's their ISP, sometimes it's the router so you have to ”steal” another room router. 4g signal pretty low in my room. Hardly usable for remote work.

The location inside of Peninsula Int'l Business Building, 20th floor. Behind of Westin, hyatt and opposite of Republic of Korea Guangfujun Site (韩国光复军总司令部旧址). Walking a minutes to Ropeway, Temple, Hongya dong Folk Scene Area, port (sunset cruise) and else. My room in 20th floor is clean big 舒适 All staff very friendly and helpfull. 1st day when I came (late night) I can't sleep, so I request to change the room at floor nearby the reception. The next day the staff upgrade my room in the 20th floor, near the reception..yeay..thanks a lot, I can sleep then. Btw, the hotel doesn't have restaurant & breakfast, but don't worry because many restaurants and food street very close to the building. Oh, when I almost lost way to shiweixian, I call the staf, she help me and told to the driver the right way (address) to go (nan'an district). Overall perfect, Enjoy my holiday in Chongqing. I will stay here when I in Chongqing. Because very near and close to tourist attraction and culinary.

The location was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful with check in and laundry services. The only issue is the cleaning staff should pay close attention when cleaning the rooms. There were fruit seeds on the floor from previous people who where there. Also the towels in the bathroom were changed but the bathtub wasn’t cleaned out. Other than that I’d highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is amazing. You get an amazing view of the city and Yangtze River. The location is fantastic. It’s next to an indoor mall with shopping and lots of restaurants. The staff and service is outstanding. They are so attentive and helpful. They delivered a fruit bowl to your room daily.

Stunning Views Amidst Clean Comfort and a few flaw at Roosevelt. My recent stay at Roosevelt offered a mix of breathtaking scenery and comfortable accommodations, albeit with two minor flaws. Situated in the heart of the city, the hotel boasts unparalleled views of both the sparkling river and the bustling city skyline. The lobby was impeccably clean, with modern decor and well-appointed furnishings creating an inviting ambiance. However, my enthusiasm waned slightly upon noticing the state of the carpeted hallway, which appeared in need of a thorough cleaning. Despite this initial impression, the cleanliness and comfort of my room quickly restored my confidence in the hotel. The spacious accommodations were meticulously maintained, offering a serene retreat from the bustling city below. The large windows provided an uninterrupted view of the river and cityscape, allowing me to enjoy the stunning scenery from the comfort of my own space. The onsite restaurant promised a western breakfast; to be honest I had my doubts but my wonderful fiancé convinced me to book the hotel with the breakfast option included, however their idea of a western breakfast was toast, overcooked eggs, stale doughnuts and the rest you’ll refer to the pictures. While the dirty carpeted hallway was a minor disappointment, it did not detract significantly from our overall enjoyment of the hotel. With its unbeatable location, comfortable rooms, and stunning views, Roosevelt remains a top choice for travelers seeking a memorable stay in the heart of the Chongching. I would gladly return for another visit, hopeful that the cleanliness of the hallway and the breakfast matches the caliber of the rest of the hotel in the future.

I m a first time traveller to Chongqing and I stayed four nights in Glenview Hotel The room is spacious and clean. The location of Glenview Hotel is excellent and it's just few minutes walk to the metro station and the must go places near Liberation Square. Super convenient.The service of the hotel is excellent and I am so impressed by the human touch approach. I received a warm handwritten notes from the hotel on Women Day! Plus,I accidentally slipped down in the bathroom and my hand is a bit swollen and blue. Even tough it is not serious, the staff of the hotel took good care of me.Highly recommended

Great service location is unreal! Very convenient! The price is very good for what you get! Might be a little noisy in the AM due to the ongoing construction but it’s really good for what you pay for!

This boutique hotel is so underrated! We love everything about this hotel — location, service, amenities and comfort! Especially the bathroom interior and design, it was very thoughtful and practical. The amenities provided in the room have never failed to give us a relax night after coming back from our adventures, definitely gave us a home feeling. It was still quiet considering the location, very near to Hongyadong and shopping district. The back alley to Hongyadong (turn right on the first junction after coming out of the hotel — cool small eateries and cafes!). Love the small gesture of providing free power bank at lobby. The rooftop view on 15th was amazing too! Just the back view on 6th floor facing the other apartments wasnt that great but it wasnt a big deal. The breakfast selection was limited as you could only pick the few stuff from the noodle restaurant at lobby. The water pressure in the shower room was problematic during the first night but Ms. 7 has fixed it quickly but then had some water temperature issue the next day. All and all i would 10/10 recommend this place and would definitely come back!
