It is more than half an hour's drive from Qiandaohu Town, the surrounding is very quiet, and there are not many people on National Day. I understand that this is a design style, but the basic room can add a little shelf, and it needs to be practical to look good. The spare parts are le labo, which I think is the most worthy of the spare parts used in these years. It is raining again this season, so there is no scenery to speak of. Afternoon tea in the orange bar to kill time. The breakfast is average, nothing western. It is more cost-effective to use Ctrip's package for dinner, and the price of a la carte feels a bit expensive. Service is ok, but not above expectations. I loved the lake view from my room, and highly recommend higher floors. The bathtub with the open view was also amazing,the beds were soft and sleek. However,I would not rate this hotel as 5 stars; the decor is quite old with its dark colours, a bit worn out wallpapers and quite old carpets in the corridor. It was very noisy with lots of families and their kids. Buliding 1 has two lifts only and you end up waiting and being squashed in a lift all the time. Coming down to breakfast restaurant was about strange as the lift takes you to the basement parking so one needs to go past the cars unless you want to walk outside the building.The breakfast was buzzing with too many people impatient to que politely. Most importantly, I really feel the front desk service needs a lot of improvement; I understand that nobody speaks English, we can use translators,but noone welcomed me properly and wished me a nice stay: my Alipay and passport only mattered. I was lucky with Xio Qian ( front desk boy) who offered to help and share the information about amenities and trips around the lake. I am very grateful to him. The gym in building 5 was a disappointment; One swimming pool is to be shared between 4 other buildings. Because it rained, the water was quite cold in the pool. Overall,this hotel would suit families and kids mainly,but i would not recommend it to single expats and certainly would not rate it as a 5 star hotel.

The trip to Qiandao Lake was beyond our expectations! Birthday Zhou helped us upgrade the lake view room. As soon as we opened the door, we could see the lake. It was also simply decorated. The housekeeper Yangyang also introduced it in great detail and kept answering questions at night! Aunt Tong on the floor was very enthusiastic. She replenished welcome fruits and prepared bedtime snacks! Aunt Li Keying from the buffet restaurant saw that we had children and helped us get meals and prepared small gifts! There was also Master Li, the concierge car, who was also very enthusiastic. It is very suitable for parent-child travel. There are many places for children to play. The service staff will take the initiative to say hello. It is also very happy to play for 3 days and 2 nights without leaving the hotel!

We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. The rooms were clean and a good size and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. We ate Western food in the bar every evening (burgers, chips etc) and the food was great. The pool was lovely (the jacuzzi is very warm) and my daughter loved the play room in the basement. Two things to consider: firstly, the boat trip is only short and involves either a cable car ride or a steep walk (I don’t like heights, so we opted for the walk and it was pleasant but would not be suitable for the elderly or very young children). Secondly, we did not know we had to book our taxi to the station the night before we checked-out, so a member of the team eventually booked one for us, as my Didi app would not get us a car, with the hotel being so far out. Overall, a lovely place and we will definitely return soon.

A lot of Chinese TV channels, one russian, arabic, french and spanish each, but no english TV channel.

We had an unforgettable experience at Bright Resort in Qindaohu. Everything was absolutely perfect. Spectacular views, amazing villa, delicious food and very kind staff. We enjoyed walking in the nature, the fresh air and the amazing views. We spotted big fish, eagles and aquatic birds. The breakfast and the food at the Chinese restaurant were delicious. Totally recommended for families, couples and singles.
