"Absolutely stunning hotel , in acres of land to walk around .
The staff were superb .
Rooms were clean and warm.
Breakfast was buffet style with plenty to choose from.
Will stay again , hopefully to meet the two ghosts that haunt the place ."

Set on a plot of circa 1.5 acres this historic farmhouse provides ample accommodation to house large groups to enjoy the countryside. Steeped in history this property includes the ruins of the 12th century "Church of Smyte" although much of the farmhouse is 18th century red brick. The accommodation is versatile and unique.The property comprises 4 large bedrooms each with the exception of 1 housing 2 king size beds. 2 bedrooms have there own en-suite with the other 2 sharing a bathroom. Downstairs there is a large living room with a traditional open log fire. "I’ve stayed here before not a problem,but this time was terrible I stayed in the car park 1 hours thought they’d made a mistake on the booking the hotel looked like a demolition site no sign of entrance or reception very disappointing,gave me a disability room which I refused to stay in at a different hotel , I think the manager was Richard who helped us get a different room he was very friendly but the room was in lower ground smelling of sewage in hallway’s and damp in the room ,we both suffer with asthma and anxiety , all the lady staff was very polite and welcoming but I don’t want to stay here again"

"The hotel is conveniently located (on the way from London to Birmingham) and we found the staff to
all be very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. And we had a really good breakfast too. My only slight criticism is that we didn't get our Doubletree warm cookie on arrival - but we check-in after midnight! We would definitely stay again."

"The hotel is in a convenient location, with Costa, McDonald's, and TGI Fridays nearby. The staff are friendly and parking is free. The room is big and the bed is comfortable. However, the hotel is a bit old, the bathroom had a bad smell, and the room lighting is very dim. Overall, the price feels a bit high for what you get."

"Very pleasant stay.. pub restaurant offered info on food allergies. Food was great. Rooms (I rebooked) were great, bath and shower that actually did what they said… no getting soaked trying to turn on shower. As a single female traveller, felt safe. Will rebook next visit . Staff are friendly and helpful."
