We spent four nights in a deluxe room which was lovely, a huge bed, spacious, great bathroom and a relaxed patio area. The hotel outdoor pool is a key feature, a wonder to look at, and a joy to swim in heated by solar panels. The spa building is really gorgeous, wood panelled, quiet, relaxing, a good gym and stretch area upstairs. On the ground floor are the treatment rooms and two lovely pools where you can swim from inside to outside. The restaurant served an extensive breakfast which was good. The downside was the evening and day menu was limited and very expensive for the quality delivered. Staff service in the restaurant was patchy. Two things to note, children are allowed here, which may detract from the sense of well-being. The rooms are not the best for soundproofing. There are tv's mounted on the walls and if like us you have a selfish person next door watching TV loudly at night it will disturb you. We raised this with reception but it took them two days before they asked our neighbours to keep the noise level down! This was irritating.

This is a beautifully designed hotel with potentially great facilities but the management really do need to pay attention to previous reviews and up their game on the service. Staff on arrival are friendly and welcoming (as are the cleaning staff, incidentally) but that's where it ends. Every time I went to reception, I had to steel myself for extended conversations which came about because the staff simply do not understand even the simplest request. Nothing is straightforward and it is as if they are running the hotel for the benefit of the employees. Partly this is down to significant language issues, partly attitude. There is absolutely no sense that they are there to help. And yes, as has been commented upon, it is as if they have only just opened and no-one has been trained. A shame because the place has real potential.

A great place for a nice sunset. A bit overpriced (food) one thing that I completely disliked was the measurements for the glass of wine. The place it's amazing! Would come back just for drinks. The main entrance it's really nice and the parking lot 👌🏽

My review is just for the Wellness part. 5 stars for the location, the spririt, the architecture and the staff But in the swimming pool the water jet were out of order. The shower in the clockroom had just cold water. i hope for the guest that for the Summer period eveything will be fixed Massages are quite expensive compares to prices in France for example.

I tried to make a reservation to dinner with my family next friday. First I call at 18:00 and they told me that the reservations resposable was in a meeting with the Boss and ask me to call in 1 hour. I called at 19:00 and the reservation when I told that we were 8 people told me that need to transfer to the event departament. Then a new lady told me that in their policy 8 people is an event and only can accept the reservation with the same appetizer, sane plate and same dessert for everyone. What a great perspective for a family dinner. I have been client for the last 3 years but today you loose a client forever. Is difficult to manage worst a client relationship

The suites and grounds are nice, albeit the landscape a bit bare still. Next time we would only consider in a bungalow as there is no privacy because of the layout of the rows of suites. The pool area is ok, right next to a rice field which during our stay, was only earth and barren and the wind blew over the dirt. The yoga/wellness programme was limited, assuming because of lack of staff. A bit surprised by the negative reviews of the food which we found exceptional, farm-to-table style. Service overall attentive and trying their best. An overall cheerful place, frequented by the ecclectic crowd from Lisbon and during our time, quite a number of preppy French. All in all, the best in the area when considering there are not many options of good class stays.

A beautiful, well-maintained property with lots of details taken care of. Very friendly staff. Pools are gorgeous. Breakfast is terrific, lots of options. Dinner feels unnecessarily expensive. Location is great. Highly recommend!

There's no doubt that this is a visually breathtaking resort. It's supported by a very friendly and obliging staff, wonderful surroundings and an excellent restaurant that might break a budget if you have lunches and dinners several times. The outside pool with its glass construction and generous length is a real pleasure to use first thing in the morning. We had some minor feedback from our two recent visits and the staff - unfailingly friendly and pleasant - suggested the owner might take up those points and write to expand on them. I'd explained that I didn't feel the need to write down a few minor queries in a review of sorts and they understood that perfectly but we'd driven only a few kilometres after that conversation when an e-mail pinged asking us to write a review on Tripadvisor. It was an automatically generated message of course and we've now received it twice. I'm waiting for a note from the owner. I have an interest in the way the old rice barns have been restored together with the supposed eco-credentials of the resort but the information on the website lacks facts in its description and is a little grandiloquent in its aspirations. All that aside, the accommodation is good, the beds very comfortable and the spa is luxurious and a joy to use. The barn conversion is less practical than spectacular but different from any we've visited before. The food in the restaurant was really very good, well presented and served by a friendly and attentive staff. It is very relaxed but dinner was a little expensive and it would have been nice if one didn't feel that it was a gourmet dish or nothing. The music, well chosen - the sound system matched the quality of the barn restoration - was sometimes just too bloody loud and some of the older staff were just a little too hurried for comfort. [Personally, I prefer to have time to wipe my mouth before the dessert menu if placed before me]. And I think that a place as expensive as this shouldn't charge for drinking water AND bread when dinner for two is likely to cost over a hundred quid. The owner's wife is French and we felt an 'influence Française' meandering throughout the place. Which is fine if you like Club Med but we don't. The surroundings and lovely staff apart, we're not certain we'd like this place full, busy and hot in the middle of the season.

I really needed a week to "recharge my batteries" before starting to work again after my maternity leave. This was the perfect place to do so ! Everything is decorated with beautiful taste, the restaurant is delicious and healthy, the pilates teacher is exceptional (and gave me specific exercises for postpartum). The hotel is very baby and child friendly (you can even ask a nanny to take care of you baby during your massage or if you want to do an activity) We will come back for sure !
