This hotel is truly a little gem, 7 of us came to stay over the bank holiday, to celebrate the life of my mum who sadly passed away in March. It’s was an amazing stay the staff were all so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were lucky enough to stay in an executive sea view room, these are massive and have a seating area with the most unbelievable view. We had dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night and the food was just exemplary and very reasonably priced. It was the first time staying in Criccieth, after the stay it certainly won’t be the last.

Three nights in an executive room, so relaxing to sit in the cozy chairs by the window and watch the light change over the water. The staff was as friendly and helpful as everyone says—even made a call for me to the local laundromat to check payment options. It’s definitely an older hotel but the dining room and lounge are decorated in a fun modern style and there’s a nice side garden with tables too. Our dinner was fabulous, the lamb in particular. And super gin and tonics! Easy walk to other restaurants as needed. Small lift for help with bags, huge bed, very clean room. Noise does carry up from the street if you have the windows open (only an issue in early morning for garbage pickup) but quiet otherwise. A truly pleasant stay with a warm genuine vibe.

My wife and I spent three nights over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend at the Caerwylan Hotel, which is in an outstanding position. Our room had superb views of the sea and the castle. The room was well furnished with high quality bedding and was very comfortable. The housekeeping team are excellent with the highest standards and our room was kept immaculately clean. The reception staff were very friendy and always made us feel at home. The whole hotel is run quietly and efficiently, whilst maintaining a lovely relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast each morning in the Dining Room was excellent and delivered by lovely team of staff, who are committed to ensuring that you fully enjoy the experience. We will be back.

The only hotel in our world that we visit time and again, the Caerwylan has it all. Great location, room options for many budgets, spectacular views, outstanding food, a wide range of choice behind the bar and most of all; great, personable, helpful and professional people working very hard to ensure that you enjoy your stay.

We came down for a couple of days last week and we had a very pleasant stay! The hotel is VERY clean and it overlooks the sea and the castle, which is lovely. The castle is lit up at night and room 14 overlooks this. The lounge also overlooks this, which is great for the evenings. The food was excellent. I am a foodie and I loved the breakfast and evening meal! The breakfast was made up of lots of choice, incl welshcakes. The cooked was made using high quality ingredients. The evening meal was delicious and I highly recommend dining here. The staff are lovely and can't do enough for you. From reception, dining, housekeeping... everyone was great. A great find and I recommend this hotel! Ps: look out for the dolphins in the morning swimming by (about 8:30am).

Another relaxing stay at The Caerwylan. This time in May, I was expecting it to be cold and was pleasantly surprised by how warm it was even though the weather was changeable, so didn’t need my woolies. Our 5th stay we just love the position of the hotel and the area, it’s perfect for us, the whole experience is just right, the food - we ate in the restaurant on all 3 nights of our stay and the food and service was absolutely wonderful. The room with the fabulous view ( my husband has mobility problems and isn’t interested in riding around or walking very far these days but he enjoys people watching from the comfort of a lovely room) while I like nothing more than a trek down the beach or going for a swim weather permitting. Or simply relaxing with a book. I made a booking for September (our usual time to visit) before we left and am really looking forward to it! Many thanks to all the staff you made us all feel very welcome. Ps) I brought my recently widowed sister along (it could have been a disaster! Keeping the peace LOL but she enjoyed her stay just as much as we did)

We had a lovely stay at the Caerwylan. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive and made you feel at home. The food in the restaurant was also excellent. We stayed in the hotel for our climb up Snowdon but we really enjoyed our time here, it’s a real hidden gem.

We just had a wonderful three night stay at the Caerwylan and enjoyed first rate service as always. The rooms are clean and well furnished and the other areas such as the loungs, bar and restaurant are the same. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the hotel as a great place to use as a centre for all the attractions around and about. Staff are always a pleasure to deal with and are attentive to guest's needs.
