The room was clean and well-maintained. However, one minor inconvenience was the design requiring guests to ascend a flight of stairs from the lobby to reach the elevators. This proved quite troublesome for those with large luggage, especially since the adjacent ramp was too steep, making it awkward and even a bit risky to maneuver suitcases without them sliding back down. The hotel's location within the ancient city is incredibly convenient. It's just a short stroll to the Drum Tower and numerous popular restaurants. Landmarks like Daifang Mansion and the Nine-Dragon Wall are also within easy walking distance. Taxis and ride-hailing services are readily available, and parking is convenient. Finding the hotel is also a breeze, as most drivers are familiar with its name. On a more personal note, I was traveling with a bad back, and found the bed here a bit too soft for my preference. While a firmer mattress wasn't available, the staff truly went above and beyond. When I inquired about a wooden board, they resourcefully sourced one for me, wrapped it, and I placed it under the mattress. This simple solution was an absolute lifesaver for my back! Without it, I literally wouldn't have been able to walk or enjoy my trip after a night's sleep. My deepest gratitude goes to the wonderful staff, especially the young ladies, for their ingenious solution to such a significant personal issue.
