"I had an unpleasant start with this hotel - the reception staff told me that my booking with Trip.com was unacceptable and there were no record of my booking. Fortunately I was able to reach Trip.com's Customer Service personnel, Ms Yolanda who was able to resolve the matter with the hotel. All in, it took about 40 mins before I could finally checked-in. This hotel badly needs to be refurbished - the aircond leaked badly and not cold throughout my 3 days stay, the shower spray is quite dysfunctional, the sink is small - no place to put any toiletries, has no stopper and some of my toiletries fell into the sink hole were irretrievable. The swimming pool is dirty as there is no control and supervision on the people using the pool who were NOT wearing proper swimming attire and were barefooted with sands when they went into the pool. The only upside of this hotel is its location, which is right at the Babak ferry wharf, save time to queue at the ferry terminal and the hotel security assists its guests with cars in getting in and out of the queue."

Great
NNikki Dela CruzThe experience was amazing. The staff was very accomodating. You can really feel the premium service from a premium hotel. Justifies their 5 star rating. Will definitely book again soon.
GGuest UserFirst time in Davao and Samal Island. The location is very near the wharf. The staff were friendly and helpful.Woke up very early and they were already cleaning the pool and surrounding areas for the guests. We had a good time in the pool and a little walking in the beach.
GGuest UserLa Vida Hostel is a cozy retreat that stands out in Samal Island. Ninio, the owner and artist, wowed us with his dedication and warm hospitality. The hostel feels like a live-in gallery, surrounded by nature's beauty.
Breakfasts here are fantastic – don't miss out on the French toast! The place has a chilled-out vibe that's perfect for kicking back after exploring the island. Plus, it's super close to Peñaplata town, making it easy to rent a scooter and go on an adventure.
If you're into art, good food, and friendly faces, La Vida is the spot. It's a simple, welcoming place that's ideal for soaking up the local scene. Definitely worth the stay!
HHyunwoo junThis is a very secluded area which is why I liked it so. If you want crowds then go to Boracay but if you want a beautiful beach with more privacy then this is your paradise getaway. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the owner is extremely caring. I loved this place and the view is like Hawaii Maui. Be aware that the beach is going down a mountain so there are lots of stairs to climb. Also I loved the Peacock’s that roam there. This is a perfect Anniversary vacation
GGuest Userwe stayed only for 1 night. service was good, they upgraded us to 7 floor.. staff was friendly but the room has big crack, water was color gray well they inform me during check in let ut run for few minutes until becuase clear.. i dont know whats going on with there water system..also no water heater so they provided a basin and pail so can reheat the water thru water kettle if want to have hot shower...lol.....price is more expensive than good hotel in davao ...
YYONGDUIt is the newest building in the hotel in Tagum City, and is located close to the downtown area, making it easily accessible.
A simple breakfast is provided for breakfast, and there are various restaurants around the hotel.
