The lady who runs the hostel with her son are both very nice, gracious people. The breakfasts and one dinner I had there were very good. Unfortunately, the service is rather lacking, and they seem to spend more time asking for a 5-star review then they do making sure you are comfortable. I realize that it's a hostel, but for 150K/night, it doesn't seem unreasonable to expect more attentive service. (Note that I stayed there before the high season.) I was never given a towel, and was provided with additional toilet paper during my 3-night stay. (I managed to budget the paper perfectly -- I had just run out by the time I left.) I'm sure they would have provided these things had I asked, but it gets tiring. Better to make sure the guests have what they need without always having to ask. As for the WiFi, it was pretty good by Palomino standards, but very inconsistent inside my room. I frequently had to go to the restaurant area to find the signal. Other rooms may be better in this regard. (Working remotely is not so easy in Palomino.) Also, note that many of the rooms open directly to the pool, so there's not a lot of privacy.
