The staff were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The pool area with the steam and sauna rooms were clean. The rooms need updating but overall we had a pleasant experience.

A little upset that the bed was two singles pulled together but most everything else was good.
Receptionist was very helpful and kind.

An overnight stay for business, there was a conference on, the hotel was incredibly busy so not as slick as usual checking in and ordering room service after arriving late but this is understandable.

Hotel was in a great location for where we needed to be. Only used hotel to sleep and for breakfast. Breakfast wasn't the best, was warm and got cold quickly, however, overall enjoyed our stay. Stay clear of the trees when parking, our car was a mess on our return.

This is a cheap giod value place to stay. Thenllace is a bit tired and fraying at the edges and may have deserved 4 stars when it was new but not now. Dont get me wrong it is good value, but remember you get what you pay for.
Omly major issues were a fire alarm going off at midnight with no explanation or apology given when we asked about in the mornjng, and the bed is either way too soft or just old, it is a huge double made up of 2 beds bolted together so if you roll into the middle it sags and you end up in a valley between the 2 mattresses.

Overall nice place and staff, but the spa facilities are not adequate for the 4* Macdonald hotels. The swimming pool is too small, sauna is cold (yes it's not hot), no drinking water in the spa or gym.
So if you're looking for the spa weekend away stay away from this hotel (haven't tried any of the beauty treatments, therefore can't rate it).
The breakfast is good and plenty. Thanks to all staff for their hard work and friendly service!
