The hotel is antique and the service is warm and thoughtful. The location is between Lover's Bridge and Snow Bridge. After Lover's Bridge is the north gate of the ancient city, which is very convenient for eating and playing. The hotel also upgraded us to a river view room. When we opened the balcony door, we could sit on the small swing and enjoy the river view at night. It was so comfortable! It took 3-5 minutes to walk to the Liwan parking lot. The housekeeper Xiaotian and his brother came to the parking lot to pick us up and dropped us off at the parking lot when we left. You can choose your own breakfast the day before, and it will be delivered to the room at the agreed time the next morning. The special steamed rice, rice noodles, milk, eggs, cakes and fruits are all very good! I also gave a local specialty ginger candy as a gift when I left the store, thank you!

This is my Nth time to go to Phoenix. I saw this hotel in December (I didn’t book it because it was too popular). This time I went with my family. Unexpectedly, I was lucky. I booked a twin room. The hotel is modern and minimalist. Style, clean environment, great! The mattress is very comfortable (I don't like very soft ones, otherwise my back will be sore when I wake up the next day). The comfort level of this one is just right. Checked in on the 2nd and 6th. It was hail and snowy weather in Hunan starting from the 3rd. It was very cold. I am very afraid of the cold. The room was fully heated. I slept well all night and slept until dawn. The location of the hotel is also super easy to find. It is right next to Nanhuali KFC. It's less than 3 meters away, and it only takes 3 minutes to enter the ancient city from the hotel. The hotel's girl, Xiaoyu, is really considerate. After talking on the phone, she came to pick us up (Thank you so much for such a cold day). She was very gentle in her words. What is particularly unforgettable to me is that because I got up too late for breakfast in the hotel (breakfast ended at 11 o'clock, we didn't get up until 10:46 😭) my niece wanted to have breakfast, and the hotel specially brought the best mixed powder and drinks. I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. The Hotel's管家，莉莉，welcome us warmly when we reached the hotel. She helped us to book the hotel transfer from the train station before our arrival. She upgraded our room to a very beautiful one bedroom suite. The suite is well decorated, clean and comfortable with all modern amenities. The hotel even provide free transport to and from the ancient town scenic area. 莉莉 will help to co-ordinate for us. When we check out of the hotel, they even give us local snacks as gift. My husband and I really had a v good time staying at this hotel.

The hotel is very close to the bridge just walk 5 mins. Good location to walk around the ancient city and along the river. The service is superb. You need to contact hotel in advance as they need to meet you at the parking lot and bring you the hotel. The breakfast is at the restaurant nearby (local chinese style). The noodle soup is very delicious. Special thanks to Xiao Hong and Ar Ming for very nice hospitality. As there is no Didi in Fenghuang, they helped us to book the car to the airport and made sure that we arrived at the airport safely. Although they speak very limit English, we can communicate with WeChat. The ancient city view at night is very beautiful but also very crowded with people dressed in the ancient costume and taking pictures everywhere. It was difficult to walk and enjoy the night view as it is a bit noisy because of the people and music from bars along the river. Day time is more peaceful to walk around.

We booked 2 rooms. Wonderful homestay using the latest technology to offer guests a top notch service. Lighting, curtains and TV can be voice- activated. The owner drove us from the train station himself and got his people to love our bags into the establishment, about 200 metres into the old town from the carpark. We were so impressed with the rooms that we wanted to stay a second night. Even though it was quite late at night, he drove us back to the station to get our train tickets changed. This took us an hour but he patiently waited outside station for us. Also grateful to him for upgrading one room to a suite.

The owner came to the main road to help us carry our luggage to the hostel. Same thing when we go back time, the owner helps us to bring the language to the carpark. Free transport provided to and from high-speed rail station. Our balcony is facing the Tuo Jiang River with a view of the ancient city and the scenery at night is very beautiful with the Snow Bridge fully light up. A good, beautiful view of the Snow Bridge and surrounding area. We book Family Suite - 2-Room, River-View (Balcony), a clean and very spacious room and with a great view. The location is convenient, and the housekeeping is good. There are many music bars below the hostel and along the river, but all music stops at 11 pm, is a good initiative. Hostel location is near to popular attractions, such as Hongqiao, Tuo Jiang Rock Jumping, Travel Photography Shop just below the hostel. I am fully satisfied with my stay in the hostel.

It’s located at a car park where you can easily get to the hotel. Check in - was smooth. Room - ok, near but the bed is super hard. The toilet is a fake Japanese style toilet that doesn’t work. View from the room is not bad. Can see the bridges. Check out - we were asked to go out of the car park to get a taxi for RMB26 or if turn into the parking it’s RMB40. How can 1 turn 50m into the parking costs this much extra? It’s ridiculous and sounded like some collaboration between hotel and driver. If they can drop at the doorstep in the parking I don’t get why the extra charge when leaving the place. So silly. This hotel is much more expensive than other properties and decently located but given a choice I may not want to stay here due to all the grey area points I listed above. If you’re charging much more than others, your service must be much better than them too. Not to say bad, just not good enough.
