Hotels near Pitti Palace in Florence

Very spacious , excellent welcome and immediately available. Good and abundant breakfast. Excellent location, literally near the motorway, a comfortable street!! . A quite spacious room. The full comfort bathroom. The water of the shower was not very stable, it continued to change the temperature continuously, from warm to cold and cold to warm, you were more disputed with water than doing the shower.

Location and Service are strong points of Hotel delle nazioni. however, a broken toilet button (that got resolved) should have not occurred. The staff member came up and fixed it in timely fashion. Th facility score is lower because of the noise from the tram outside our windows staritng at 0500 and going up to 2030 in the evening was distracting, plus the discard pipes from shower and toilet use by the upstairs room made for alot of noise and difficulty in sleeping. Good breakfast and service. Hotel is near the Firenze train station but is farther away from the attractions to see in FLorence.

What a friendly and clean hotel! Convenient, excellent continental breakfast (even included eggs!), and superb staff to help with everything. Miguele, at the front desk was especially helpful with our entire 3 day stay. Parking was a big bonus, not usually included in this price range.

It is far from major tourist destinations. The accessibility is very poor. However, the hotel is very tidy and the facilities are good. The hotel restaurant was also very satisfying.

Ottima sistemazione in pieno centro di Firenze. Residenza d'epoca resa funzionale e ammodernata. Solo per accedere ad alcune camere non c'è ascensore. Fastidiosa presenza di zanzare in camera, ma esiste all'interno della stessa un dispositivo antizanzara fornito. Ottima la colazione. La tassa di soggiorno di 4,50 euro x un tre stelle è una esagerazione autentica, naturalmente non imputabile all'hotel, ma alla amministrazione della città.

Overall good, a bit like a small hotel, hotel facilities, air conditioning is not cooled! It is hot at night, it will be better to close the bathroom door. Villa Castiglione is located on one of the hills surrounding Florence, it is a peaceful and quiet place surrounded by villas and vines. Converted monastery now features artistically decorated interiors. Rooms are just spacious enough for a lovely stay, with ensuite modern bathroom. It is as seen on photos, clean and the staff speak English - even though they appear a bit slow and bored, they were friendly and very helpful, as well as offering advice on travel. Parking is free on the premises but be prepared for narrow windy road to reach the place. Breakfast has enough variety, but don't expect healthy options, it is generally pastries, yoghurt, cereal and eggs. Great coffee, as this is Italy, of course. Dinner is officially served from 7.30 but nobody started serving until 8pm and the menu is rather limited, lacking simple options for tired travellers such as soup or salad - and it was expensive, considering value for money. All in all, this was a great find and we can recommend the Villa.

We couldn't have asked for a better location; close to the train station and an easy walk to all the sights we wanted to visit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was beautiful, with a little balcony, clean and spacious enough. The bathroom was modern, even though the hotel is charming and older. The breakfast was very good, with pastries, croissants, breads, hard boiled eggs, cheese, meats, fruit, cereals, yogurt and excellent coffee. The breakfast room was lovely with a balcony with flowers. After checking out, we were able to store our luggage for the day. We would return again!!

I am not writing this type of reviews often, but unfortunately this time I have to in order to reflect the reality about this hotel. Prior to this hotel we stayed at another hotel in Rome also 4-star that we really enjoyed (price level and distance from city center was similar). Firstly, I would like to point out that this hotel, even though it has 4 stars, cannot be considered to be a European-level 4-star hotel at all, at maximum a refurbished 3-star hotel. Given the price and its location, I would like to tell you straight, it is quite expensive for what you get, especially given the further circumstances described below. Secondly, I have not read many negative reviews regarding the noise level, but would like to shed some light on that. Even though we asked for a quiet room, we got the room facing the hotel parking and front road. I cannot say that there was a lot of noise from the road, but you could definitely hear cars from the road. But the biggest problem is the noise insultaion, or more precisely its complete absence. We could hear our neighbours talking in the other room like they were in our room. Our neighbours were awake until late night and we could hear them receiving messages while chatting on the phone and it seemed like the phone was vibrating each time near your ear. There was also noise from outside and other neighbours (it was partially not clear where it was coming from), so overall an awful experience also given the fact that each room has roller blinds and some people are using them at night and each time you can hear the mechanism working (it is quite loud). When people flush in other rooms, it sounds like it starts raining heavily. To sum up, insulation is really bad. Thirdly, the room was furbished at the level of refurbished 3-star hotel, the old hairdriers from the 20th century, only one card key, thus you cannot leave the AC on when you leave the room. Room was not ventilated at all once we arrived, so it was very hot to sleep and smell was not very pleasant. Breakfast at the level of 3-star hotel maximum and they do not let people finish their breakfast telling at 9:55am that you have to leave in 5 minutes since the breakfast time ends at 10am. As a cherry on the tart, when we were leaving we were told that the water in the room was not complimentary when we arrived, even though we did not found anywhere information with pricing of water in the room. When I asked where we could find price list for water in the room, as I belive it should be clearly placed in a visible spot, the person at reception firstly insulted us in Italian (not knowing that we speak Italian) and then just answered arrogantly ”it is in the room”, showing that he does not want to speak with us. Unbelievable and unacceptable behaviour from staff, you are paying them for being treated in such a manner... Overall, I understand that Florence is an expensive and crowded city, but in this instance when we unfortunately had only extremely negativ

Our hotel is in a quiet area of central Florence, a 10-minute walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella train station. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, and the Uffizi Gallery are within two kilometers. Florence Airport is nine kilometers from our door.
