The lower rating is simply focused on the quality and particulars. Shower head was leaking and the shower head hose was so stiff that it wouldn't hold "straight." Meaning, you can't just stand there and let the water hit you, you have to take it off and rinse yourself off. Despite my room being handicap accessible, they removed the toilet seat cover meaning you have to sit bare on the toilet seat. Fridge seemed unplugged for some time and had a mucky smell to it and even after plugged for several hours, hardly cooled any drinks. TV antenna was disconnected so you can't watch anything and the TV looked like a dated so I woudlnt expect any sort of HDMI connection. Continental breakfast consisted of small packs of yogurt, 2 selections of cereal, bread, coffee, and a waffle maker with no waffle batter anywhere. Thin walls. My last night, the upstairs neighbor was banging his girl for a solid 20 min straight before it stopped.
The positives: no issues with staff despite worrisome reviews on yelp. The few interactions I encountered were friendly. They even let me check in at 11am instead of the designated 3pm. The room itself was fairly clean, the bed was clean and very comfy and so were the pillows. A/C was outdated, but works. The rooms sit facing outside so you never walk into the hotel lobby. Makes it easy access to your car parked right outside. Location is good regarding local foods, gas, and liquor store a 2 minute walk.
