"I stayed at the Leonardo Royal Hotel Glasgow and had a lovely experience overall. The hotel was clean, modern, and well maintained. The room itself was a little on the smaller side, but honestly perfect for two people - comfortable, cosy, and with everything we needed. We had two beds which were really comfortable, and the room included some nice touches like a coffee machine, plenty of towels, and good quality toiletries. The location was also great - close to the city centre, easy to get around, and quiet enough at night for a good sleep. Everything felt safe and well looked after. The only slight downside was that the service could be a bit slow at times. For example, when calling reception for something, it sometimes took quite a while for them to respond or bring what we asked for. It wasn’t a big issue, but something to be aware of if you’re in a hurry. Aside from that, everything else was fantastic. The staff were friendly and polite, the hotel had great amenities, and the atmosphere felt relaxing and welcoming. Overall, it’s a great place to stay - clean, comfortable, and convenient. I’d definitely recommend it and would happily stay here again."

"The hotel was lovely, I was a bit put off by the reception staff who spoke to me via computer screens. They never looked at me when asking questions I personally feel this is rude. However they were able to store bags for us until we could check in. The pool is lovely not overly big and there was lessons going on but for a quick dip it’s fine. The hot tub is tiny even with 3 adults in it we were touching knees so that felt a-bit awkward sharing with strangers. Gym was fantastic. Was very impressed Room was lovely very spacious we had a twin room first time I slept in a single bed since a child so not overly comfortable. Bathroom clean and massive bath which was great, our room did not have a window that could be opened but a fan was placed in our room, it didn’t work but after notifying cleaning staff they quickly replaced it. Breakfast was good just what you would expect. From a buffet breakfast and we were seated very quickly both mornings. There was water machines on our floor and reception which we used regularly and we appreciated that touch. Over all it was a good and I would stay again. The red and yellow hop on hope off bus stop is just around the corner also so handy if wanting to sightsee."

"The location is not too out of the way depending on what your trip is for! Ubers & Taxi’s are happy to collect from the hotel. The nearest Train station is around a ten minute walk from the hotel to take you into the city Centre. Our room was clean and we were provided with tea/coffee in the room. Unfortunately the bathroom had the strongest smell of sewage that filled the entire room. Could not sleep and ended up sick in the morning🤢 We did speak to reception who advised there were no alternative rooms and to complain in the morning. When we spoke to staff in the morning they advised management weren’t in and so they were unable to resolve the matter for us."

The restaurant staff, Steven was extremely helpful and warm. The room which was a suite Pol Roger was huge, however the sound and music from downstairs bled up so turning in early was not possible. Overall, a pleasant stay but would have been excellent if I had received a friendlier welcome and farewell, from the same lady receptionist."

"This hotel is incredibly convenient for train travelers. There's an exit right from the train station, and you just cross the street to reach the hotel. The facilities are quite new. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels, which is standard in my home country but not always the case abroad, where many hotels won't actively clean, empty trash, or change towels during a multi-night stay. The electric bed in the room felt unnecessary; our room was spacious enough that they could have easily added a couple of chairs without much cost, which would have greatly improved the guest experience."

"We had a quick but absolutely lovely time at the Kimptons Glasgow. We arrived pretty late about 7pm by car and quickly checked in before returning our Europcar rental which was just 8mins drive away then heading to dinner - a comfortable 25mins walk back to the hotel illustrating its great location. We loved the very spacious room and toilet with a separate bathtub and shower area - there was also a king bed, sofa at its foot facing the wall mounted TV with ample space to open up both luggages to pack for our train back to London the next morning. We even squeezed in a 30mins incredible spa experience the next morning with 2 thermal hydro pools, 2 saunas, 1 infra red lounge and a salt room for use! We really enjoyed this luxurious experience and will definitely try the other Kimptons in the near future!"

"Our overall experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Even before check-in, they sent an email with the wrong check-in date that didn't match my reservation at all. I contacted Trip.com customer service, and only when Trip.com checked with the hotel did they admit it was an email meant for another guest. Despite such an outrageous error, I never received a single apology from the hotel, and I'm very concerned about their handling of guests' personal information. On the day of check-in, we arrived at the hotel around 2 PM. The front desk staff, like robots, informed us that our room was ready but that checking in before 3 PM would incur an extra charge of £15. While I understand hotel policies, this was the only hotel out of six we stayed at during our UK trip that charged for early check-in, and the robotic attitude of the staff made for a very unpleasant experience. So, we stored our luggage and returned in the evening to check in. The evening front desk staff had also changed and displayed the same robotic demeanor. Upon checking into the room, we found stains and hair on the bedsheets. We called the hotel to request a change, and they said someone would come immediately. However, we waited for nearly half an hour with no one showing up. After calling again and waiting a bit longer, a housekeeping manager on duty knocked on our door and offered to move us to a different room directly. The bedsheets in the new room were fine, but we later discovered large stains on the luggage rack and the carpet. We cleaned the luggage rack ourselves, which was a very frustrating experience. Since we didn't require daily housekeeping, we would call the hotel each day to request replenishment of amenities. The first time we called, it took over an hour for them to deliver. However, there was one occasion when it arrived very quickly, so it might depend on the efficiency of the staff on duty. On check-out day, we were rushing to catch a flight. When we approached the front desk, there were four staff members (at least two of whom were front desk personnel) chatting. They completely ignored us even as we walked up to the counter, continuing their conversation. Only when we stated we wanted to check out did one of them casually say we could just drop the card in a box further away, without any offer to take the room key or assist us throughout the process."
