Anonymous UserThis was the best value-for-money hotel we've stayed at in the UK. The room had ceilings over 4 meters high, was spacious, and featured a super king-size bed with a perfectly balanced mattress and high-thread-count, comfortable bedding. The blackout curtains were excellent, much better than many other hotels. The service was also very good. Highly recommended! Our only minor hiccup was when we drove onto the street and saw a sign saying 'authorised vehicles only,' which made us a bit nervous. We didn't dare unload our luggage right away and had to drive around the block, which was a bit of a hassle. Otherwise, everything was great, and it was lovely to take a stroll nearby after dinner. The breakfast was significantly better than what you'd typically find at a standard budget chain. However, a friend in another room I booked did complain about low water pressure in the shower.

Guest UserThe hotel itself was fine, nothing majorly wrong. The location wasn't super convenient, but not out of the way either. The cleanliness was standard, pretty much what you'd expect. It would have been better if the staff had brought things up to our room promptly after we requested them, instead of us having to go down a second time to remind them. Overall, no big issues. The duvet was quite thin though, so I'd recommend bringing warm pajamas if you're staying in winter.

Guest UserI stayed for 1 night, The room was spacious and clean, and the shower was great. We wouldn't recommend the breakfast as it was buffet style so we didn't know how long it was sitting out for. Also quite tasteless. The hotel is lovely and quite central, staff friendly.

Anonymous UserGreat hotel. Had an executive room and was pleased to find water, toothbrush and various things I'd forgotten to bring. Room was large and the beds were very comfortable. I'd asked for early check in as I was in Glasgow for my son's graduation and was able to get into the room early to get ready. I would highly recommend and definitely stay there again

i.sakshiI recently stayed at this hotel and one of the highlights of my visit was the stunning river view. From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by how clean and comfortable everything felt, but the real standout was the scenery.
My room overlooked the river, and waking up to the calm water and soft morning light was incredibly relaxing. In the evening, the view became even more beautiful, with reflections of the sunset creating a peaceful atmosphere. It made the whole stay feel more special and memorable.
The room itself was well-maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows that made the most of the view. I also appreciated how quiet it was—perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the overall service added to the positive experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay with a beautiful river view.

Guest UserFriendly waiter/bar staff in Steven. Beer - very good. Ambience very good. Ate out for dinner. Heating in room very erratic, only works when cars in. So room cold on return. Disabled room, bathroom door opens right out into room and moves fast with no stopper, middle of the night I head butted door on opening it as it swung away. No lasting damage done but a bit dangerous. Partner said bathroom freezing during night.
Breakfast bang average - no traditional Scottish tattie scones, no scrambled egg and fried eggs are white of an uncooked type. Despite asking twice for a flipped fried egg - same white silicone esque rubber circle. Defo not edible. Waiter rude to my partner when asked about replacement. Clearly no frying facilities being used. The milk of which I had a glass of was the wateriest milk and most unpleasant taste - was it Uht? Or powdered with water added? Baked beans and sausages very tasty. No HP or Heinz sauces. Some of bread poor quality. Coffee from a work style urn. Not very modern.
Parking overpriced and car which had been washed prior to arriving was filthy on departure with a brown layer of dirt on it.
I note that website chooses to mention under Historic Sites: Hampden Park and Celtic Park: 4.0mi | 14 min drive
Funny that Ibrox Stadium - with the iconic Main Stand which is closer than the above is not given a mention. Bigotry alive in well in the hotel establishment management.
Won’t be returning or recommending.

Hannifah IbrahimWhile I can’t say I fully enjoyed my stay at DoubleTree by Hilton, that may partly be because we had just come from a really lovely hotel in Aberdeen, so my expectations were quite high, particularly regarding the housekeeping standards, given the hotel’s reputation and heritage. Unfortunately, the cleaning service and general room upkeep felt somewhat lacking during our stay.
That said, it was still a good stay overall. The reception staff were fantastic, very professional, welcoming, and helpful throughout our visit. The breakfast was decent as well, although we were unable to try many of the buffet options due to personal preferences and faith-based dietary restrictions.
Overall, we enjoyed our time in Glasgow.

The service was next level, with us going to get a taxi at one point outside the hotel and a staff member coming out to put an umbrella over us. The inside was probably the cleanest hotel we have been in with booking the executive room the space in the room was very big, the mirrors are excellent along with the shower being rainfall and having the normal head as well. I’d 100% book a room with a complimentary mini bar since they don’t just re-fill the drinks the re-fill the snacks. You must try the food as well being one of the best breakfasts we’ve had, along with room service we ordered a burger that was to die for. One of our favourite memories will be in the outside smoking/bar lounge being in Glasgow listening to the rain while wrapped in blankets under heated lights smoking a cigar drinking fine wine created the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. They also set your blind and bed and everything to exactly how you like it honestly this hotel is the real deal.

Guest UserI stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Glasgow SEC on 13 February for a gig over at the OVO Hydro. From the moment I stepped into the hotel I was impressed.
A special mention has to go to Sarah in Reception who made my stay extra special with a drink voucher and upgrade to a corner room which I was delighted about.
The hotel is ideally located for those attending events at the OVO Hydro and SEC venues - it’s literally across the road and a 2-5 minute walk!
The room overlooked both the OVO Hydro and the world-famous crane, a Glasgow icon. It was clean, well-presented and I liked the extra touch of having a hairdryer in-room as well as an ice bucket for bubbles, and the obligatory tea/coffee. The bed was comfortable and I had a rested sleep in it, and the shower works really well.
I will 100% return to this hotel and hopefully will be treated like a well-valued guest again!

We stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.
