Guest UserCute boutique hotel in a prime spot near Buchanan St and with some rooms overlooking George Square. We stayed in a studio with a balcony on the 7th floor, which had a great view, but was a little unhandy when the only elevator went out of service 3 of the 5 days during our stay. The room was spacious in terms of hotel rooms in the city centre, and well equipped with everything we might need in the kitchenette, plenty of storage space, good quality linens and towels, upscale toiletries, and a roomy bathroom with a nicely tiled shower. The staff were all very helpful, and did a good job of communicating with us when my husband's golf bag we had shipped over from the US preceded our arrival by a few days; they kept it in reception until we got there. Parking is a good distance away, and there is no good place to load/unload, though if you follow the instructions from Reception, you can get a discounted daily rate at the parking garage they recommend. The shuttle bus from the airport, subway, and, train station are within a few blocks, so you definitely don't need a car to get places within (and to a great extent without) the city.
Honestly we loved this hotel, found it a good value for the price, and will definitely consider staying here again on a return visit to Glasgow.

KevinNMooreLovely experience from start to finish, the oversized coffee mugs was a great touch, thank you for that ☺️ and I got to see possibly the most unique sight just round the corner, pictured, as for the lobby and the hotel, a mix of modern, art deco and comfy seating downstairs.
Be warned the bed was HUGE!!! I could fit 3 full size pillows across, so no danger of falling out for me ☺️
I will be going back 👍

We absolutely loved our stay here. The room was spacious and the beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Seriously- wow. The bathroom was fine and the shower was amazing. Some dust and little dirt here and there but overall ok. I didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment on that but did go to the champagne bar and absolutely loved it. The drinks, staff and view- spectacular. The staff at reception were so bubbly too: The only thing I would change would be the coffee in the room as it was terribly weak. Overall great experience.

vicchenggWe enjoyed our stay at the Maldron and felt it was great value overall. The location was perfect. Everything was within walking distance but also slightly away from the main high street so it was nice and peaceful at night. There were also loads of excellent restaurants and coffee shops within a few hundred meters of the hotel, offering loads of cuisine choices. The staff were very helpful and friendly. When we arrived, I realised I had accidentally booked one of our rooms as a double room when we needed a twin. After just a quick call to reception the staff found us a twin room within minutes, and were even mindful of keeping our families on the same floor for convenience which we hugely appreciated. The rooms themselves were very clean, modern and spacious enough for the two of us and our suitcases. The sound proofing was pretty decent too, and there was minimal noise from the corridor/outside apart from a few doors banging in the morning as guests left. Other highlights include: a very good shower where you can switch between a rainfall + handheld head, plugs on both sides of the bed (an essential these days!) and a comfortable bed. The TV system is a little dated in my opinion, however it does allow casting which was a bonus. Overall, I'd highly recommend this hotel for a mid-low budget stay.

Guest UserFriendly waiter/bar staff in Steven. Beer - very good. Ambience very good. Ate out for dinner. Heating in room very erratic, only works when cars in. So room cold on return. Disabled room, bathroom door opens right out into room and moves fast with no stopper, middle of the night I head butted door on opening it as it swung away. No lasting damage done but a bit dangerous. Partner said bathroom freezing during night.
Breakfast bang average - no traditional Scottish tattie scones, no scrambled egg and fried eggs are white of an uncooked type. Despite asking twice for a flipped fried egg - same white silicone esque rubber circle. Defo not edible. Waiter rude to my partner when asked about replacement. Clearly no frying facilities being used. The milk of which I had a glass of was the wateriest milk and most unpleasant taste - was it Uht? Or powdered with water added? Baked beans and sausages very tasty. No HP or Heinz sauces. Some of bread poor quality. Coffee from a work style urn. Not very modern.
Parking overpriced and car which had been washed prior to arriving was filthy on departure with a brown layer of dirt on it.
I note that website chooses to mention under Historic Sites: Hampden Park and Celtic Park: 4.0mi | 14 min drive
Funny that Ibrox Stadium - with the iconic Main Stand which is closer than the above is not given a mention. Bigotry alive in well in the hotel establishment management.
Won’t be returning or recommending.

The service was next level, with us going to get a taxi at one point outside the hotel and a staff member coming out to put an umbrella over us. The inside was probably the cleanest hotel we have been in with booking the executive room the space in the room was very big, the mirrors are excellent along with the shower being rainfall and having the normal head as well. I’d 100% book a room with a complimentary mini bar since they don’t just re-fill the drinks the re-fill the snacks. You must try the food as well being one of the best breakfasts we’ve had, along with room service we ordered a burger that was to die for. One of our favourite memories will be in the outside smoking/bar lounge being in Glasgow listening to the rain while wrapped in blankets under heated lights smoking a cigar drinking fine wine created the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. They also set your blind and bed and everything to exactly how you like it honestly this hotel is the real deal.

i.sakshiI recently stayed at this hotel and one of the highlights of my visit was the stunning river view. From the moment I checked in, I was impressed by how clean and comfortable everything felt, but the real standout was the scenery.
My room overlooked the river, and waking up to the calm water and soft morning light was incredibly relaxing. In the evening, the view became even more beautiful, with reflections of the sunset creating a peaceful atmosphere. It made the whole stay feel more special and memorable.
The room itself was well-maintained, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows that made the most of the view. I also appreciated how quiet it was—perfect for unwinding after a long day.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and the overall service added to the positive experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay with a beautiful river view.

HAO GERHad an excellent stay at CitizenM Glasgow and genuinely impressed by how professionally the team handled an issue that was similar to another bad hotel experience I previously had elsewhere. Instead of dismissing the concern, the staff were proactive, empathetic, and immediately worked on resolving the room situation. They even kindly treated me to a complimentary drink while they got everything sorted, which made a huge difference after a long day.
The room itself was fantastic — super comfortable bedding that gave one of the best sleeps during my trip, and the hotel’s high-tech room features were incredibly fun and convenient to use. From the lighting controls to the overall modern setup, everything felt thoughtfully designed.
Great service recovery, excellent hospitality, and a hotel that truly understands customer experience. Would gladly stay again when in Glasgow

We stayed during Christmas season and there was a Xmas market next door. The hotel is spacious and all the necessary facilities, including kitchen and washing machine are provided.
