Ok, this was a 5 star hotel and everything is expected to be immaculate. However, I had to sleep there for a night to notify them that their air conditioning wasn’t working. I lost 2 nights of sleep because of that… They also will not take your food deliveries and you will have to go downstairs all the way to take it yourself. Is it really posh and comfortable? Yes. Will your money be well spent? Not really.

We had a wonderful stay at Shangrila Guangzhou. Tina and Ashley at the front desk gave us free red wine after noticing that it was my wife’s birthday. Good job being observant with your guests. Thank you. The room was clean and spacious. The customer service is great. Breakfast has plenty of options. Very delicious. The outdoor pool and the garden is wide. We will be back for sure. It was a great experience.

From the time that you enter the hotel, the lobby itself you can smell the scent really good. The service specially ”Jerry” he is the best. Speak good english and he is too kind to packed breakfast since I have early flight to catch. The location from the hotel to the tourist attraction is not bad. The room is spacious that can occupy a whole fam. Overall i love it and if giving me a chance to come back again I will definitely stay in the same hotel. 😊😊

I came here two weeks ago, this is the second time, because my younger brother kept saying that I will come to Poly Intercontinental again after finishing my homework in the summer vacation. The hotel is really good, with spacious rooms and comfortable pillows. The bathroom and toilet are separated from the left and right. The bathing area is large and comfortable The bathtub 🛁 is a nice treat! My brother likes to work at a desk, and behind him is the river view. From time to time, I watch the boats coming and going on the Pearl River, which is very Guangzhou style! The indoor swimming pool on the sixth floor is very large, not many people, and the water quality is also very good. There is also a sauna room and fitness area. Swimming is the best way to relax on vacation! The buffet at Moonlight Restaurant on the 2nd floor is also good. You can cook fresh seafood, steak and lamb chops are also good. My favorite is the dessert area. The blueberry cheesecake is delicious! There are not many people here on weekdays, 5-star enjoyment and the price of the hotel on weekdays is around 1500, the price/performance ratio is very good! Recommended!

The service of this hotel is really good. I remember that I didn't hold the water cup steady at night and it broke. When I went to pick it up, I don't know what I was thinking. I used my hand to pick it up, but I cut my hand. It was bleeding all the time. I ran to the front desk to ask if there was a band-aid. The front desk staff saw that my hand was bleeding and hurriedly took out the medicine box. The front desk staff looked at my wound and found it was a little big. They said that the band-aid might not work and needed to be bandaged with gauze. Then the front desk staff quickly took out iodine to help me disinfect and bandage, and comforted me and said that it might hurt a little, please be patient, she will be gentle! In this way, the wound was treated. The front desk staff also carefully brought me a few band-aids and intimately told me that I could change the band-aid tomorrow to avoid infection and inflammation of the wound, and that the hand should not be exposed to water for the next two days. I booked it for the exam and it was twice as expensive as usual, but I couldn’t help it. It was in a school and it was very quiet during the summer vacation. Anyway, on the day I checked in, it was mostly exam-takers. The handsome guy at the front desk was very helpful and helped me introduce the exam. I also gave appropriate suggestions on the route. My room was in a corner and the air conditioner was a bit noisy. Also, maybe I was tired from traveling and the quilt felt so thick. Haha. The temperature in Guangzhou in August is so hot that I can’t even fall asleep until midnight. There is no breakfast in the hotel, and the three restaurants next to it are not open due to the summer vacation, so breakfast can only be eaten by the whole family.

I booked 2 business rooms for a total of 6 nights. For the first 3 nights, we were unable to arrange an upgrade because the rooms were full. However, for the last 3 nights, we were upgraded to a larger executive room. Special praise should be given to the front desk clerk, Ms. Amy Wang. Her service is very good, very helpful, and her attitude is cordial, cordial, and worthy of praise. The hotel is very new and the public area is bright and clean. Only the facilities are lacking. There is only one restaurant and no executive lounge. Strictly speaking, it can only be a business hotel. The location is quite convenient. It takes 6-7 minutes to walk to Wanshengwei Station (the nearest exit A - Wansheng Plaza). It takes 5 minutes to walk. There is a tram to Pazhou Tower across the opposite road and you can take a straight line there. Canton Tower (20 minutes by car), taxi fare to Tianhe District and other places is about RMB 30, very convenient. There is Wansheng Plaza nearby, but there are few shops and restaurants. There is a relatively large square (Poly Plaza) across the road with many restaurants and shops to choose from. There are also Starbucks, 7-11, Mc Donald and some small restaurants near the hotel. All in all, the hotels are not too remote and quiet. I previously stayed in a business room on the 22nd floor [see pictures 6, 7, and 8]. Although the room was relatively small, the view was average [see picture 8]. But the floor cleaning housekeeping staff cleaned the room very cleanly and did a good job. But then I was upgraded to an executive room on the 18th floor [see picture 9-16]. On the contrary, the housekeepers who took care of the rooms on this floor were careless and casual. Every time I come back, it feels like it has not been cleaned, the trash has just been taken out, the bed has not been made, the supplies have not been replenished, and the used towels have not been completely packed away and are still left on the ground [see the last two pictures]. Therefore, I feel that the executive room on the 18th floor is worse and not as clean and comfortable as the business room on the 22nd floor. The lighting equipment in the room is not easy to control and not user-friendly enough. There is no independent night light function. Fortunately, the bathroom has an automatic night light sensor function, so you don’t have to go to the bathroom in the dark in the middle of the night. In addition, the bathroom and shower room share a pair of sliding doors, so the doors are heavier and the privacy is less. It would be more ideal if you are a family or couple. Breakfast: ￥168 for adults, ￥68 for children. But it’s not rich and there aren’t many choices. Overall, at this price, this hotel is a cost-effective and good business hotel choice.

The service here is amazing !!! Super friendly staff as soon as you get out of the taxi . I really liked the large rooms , honestly it gives you Ritz vibes but the technology in the room is great twist . Very clean room , and the room service good amazing ! The staff didn’t speak much English and they made an effort to come take the order in person , went above to make sure they could provide the service for us. The food is great, hats to the chef for making delicious meal. The location is great too, 13 minutes by didi to party pier and 30 minutes to canton tower !! Worth every penny for sure and this will be my hotel of choice when I come to GZ on weekends !!!

Everything needed is at place, very cosy. I had been frightened that a building place and construction services would distract of a sleep but everything stops at the very evening surprisingly. The most of the view is from illuminated nearby tower, so it looks very appealing when switch on. Receptionists are very polite and helpful over all of the questions that might appears anytime. Be prepared if in a hurry, that service stuff might perform some cleaning, so elevators might become very popular, with a 30 sec stop at each floor. So highest to ground floor might takes time more than expected

I rented this room with my family because I was attending a banquet nearby. There were 4 bottles of free drinking water and two wash basins in the room, so I didn't have to fight for freshening up in the morning. The view outside the window was of the river and a large green tree. There are many convenience stores and small restaurants downstairs, so you don't have to worry about finding something to eat. Pazhou subway station is just a 3-minute walk away, and there is also the Mai Kee subway.

Visited during Lighting Exhibition and the main purpose of selecting this hotel was its close proximity to Exhibition center. I book twin suite room at 35% price of Shangri-la Hotel which is near to exhibition area too. It was a business visit so I did not have any high expectations. Room was very nice and spacious and there was a washing machine, microwave and many electric sockets. Room had big french windows directly facing the Exhibition area. Best part of the stay was its distance to Exhibition and it just took me 10 minutes walk to reach C Area and another 10 minutes to reach B Area through the bridge. There are not many restaurants near the hotel. Just 3-4 behind the hotel so I preferred calling food from wechat and had to go down to collect it. Overall it was a nice stay and I would like to come back during exhibition time again.
