Cute authentic austrian guest house. The house is very old yet cozy The view from our room was breathtaking. We had breakfast there during our stay as well. Staff is very friendly and kind. I wish there was a bar that was opened after 5 pm since the whole town was closed and we didn’t know what to do.

Comfortable, impeccably, clean, homely rooms. Delightful views over the lake. The best continental breakfast you could wish for catering for all tastes in the cozy dining room. Location cannot be surpassed in town centre. Highly recommend.

I'm so lucky to have this as my accommodation in Hallstatt. There's a nice garden where you can have buffet breakfast. A huge choice of breakfast from fruit, ham to a variety of bread. Tea bags and hot water provided near the entrance. The owner was busy to clean and solve any problem and enquiry raised by guests. She is very nice. Excellent location where you can spend 9-minute walk to the main tourist attraction in the early morning and less than one-minute walk to the center. What else can you ask for?

This was an unexpected find at the last minute as we changed plans on a mountain hiking tour. I booked the night before (searched on Google, was redirected to ***********) The price with breakfast was really reasonable, although the bathroom and shower were outside the room in the hallway (which we didn’t mind as we were backpacking and staying the previous nights at rustic mountain huts). The location can’t be beat - right in the center of the old town and on the lake. Not sure what the other rooms are like, it’s an old house and not luxurious, but in the right circumstances and expectations, a nice experience.

I was really well looked after by the attentive staff at this Gasthof! Everything was smooth and easy from booking, to parking and the shuttle bus arrival to the place. The room was also clean with an amazing view of the See. Be sure to book early so you can get a room with a view!!Hallstat is really something else... especially the sunrise! Don't miss it if you are there 🙂

Amazing stay. Check-in was good. They were very good in communication. They contacted us well before the check-in day and let us know the check-in timings. Even though we were 30 minutes late for check-in, there was a staff member waiting for us to let us in. Breakfast was good, with amazing view. Common bathrooms were always available, nice and clean. No issues. All in all it was good stay. There was free coffee at the entrance, but with no milk. We asked once the staff member to arrange that. She said she will put the milk inside our room, but it didn't happen.

Ensuite room had a tiny shower and toilet and sink with a bar of soap. Sofa bed and two single beds joined together were comfortable though a bit creaky as were the wooden floors. Room had a table and 2 chairs and a wardrobe. Booked a room with a balcony with lovely views of the mountains and lake. Enjoyed breakfast at the outdoor section of the dining area by the lake. One of the few hotels in Hallstat with beds for three adults in one room and a very convenient location near the ferry terminal by the lake in the centre of town. No dining facilities except for the breakfast provided and pay by cash only. Book directly with the hotel for more choices of rooms and dates. Charming in its simplicity and antiquity with basic amenities but the lakeside location is lovely.
