Stayed at Aulanko for one night while in a conference with my colleague. Hotel was fulöly booked and we got lucky and got upgraded to the best room of the hotel: The Presidential suite. Suite is huge - 70 sqm and consists of bedroom, livingroom, corridor / working space toilet and bathroom + big L-shaped balcony with three doors :-) Rooms are big and furnitures massive. The king size bed was ok but two chair beds were quite awfull to sleep... The views were nice (a lot of windows) but even though balcony is very long I'm not sure is it usefull in any way. All the amenities are ok 2 TV:s, bathrobes, Coffee maker, Kettle, Quite old Jacuzzi/Bathtub etc etc. The room is outdated in good and bad: There are a lot of paintings on the walls from late 1930s and nice massive furniture - on the other hand electrics are quite old and there in no aircon / fresh air vents that leads to hot summers and cold winters and balcony doors openings to get fresh air inside. There was one extra few kilowat heater and one fan on the closet ready to be used. The bathroom area is fixed maybe 15 years ago by lifting the floor 15 cm -> floors are well heated but threshold is high. Breakfast was good as the complimentary Spa. You can get this room normally with quite a good price for example for two adults and two smaller kids?

Check-in was chaotic. We had to stand watching a staff member working on something else while those coming in later got serviced earlier. Reception staff mostly unfriendly or uninformed. The lobby resembled a warehouse with hardware sticking from trolleys in the area where children were also playing and running -probably because children’s play room was fully stacked with (adult) chairs on arrival day. There was no baby crib or third towel set in our room although crib was preordered. When we got the baby crib, it was really worn-down, even broken, and stained. As we got it delivered in person, we got the impression that it was ok standard for the staff member. Toilet bin was broken as were the shower tap and handsoap tray. Room not cleaned well. Friendly breakfast staff, nice spa area with a small child. However, definitely not coming back and definitely not worth the 200+ euros paid per night.

I see from previous reviews that they have a from The book answer "due to the unusually long period of heat wave The rooms are Hot. Well, we stayed here 13-15.5 during spring. It had been unusually cold (6-8C) just couple of Days before we arrived and during our arrival there had Been two warmer days with a day temp of 22-23C. Our room temp was 27 when we arrived, 29 next moring, 30 the morning after that. The lady in the reception was appologetic but said there's nothing to Be done since the hotel doesn't have air con. She did offer to bring us a portable fan but we refused cos it can't be used during night time. This hotel is no real Scandic. It used to be Cumulus till 2018 which was a budget chain aquired by Scandic. So there's a new logo, but everything else seems to be tarnished Cumulus standard from decades ago. The hotel is extremely worn out, no renovations have ever been made, so it holds together with more or less duck tape. I attached some picks from our room to prove the point. I gave two stars cos I have been in one star hotels in my youth and this is better but not with a long margin.

I stayed last weekend one night in Scandic Hotel Aulanko with my friend. We waited for rooms for 1hr and 45mins because of big group checking in before us. I asked Hotel Direcror's contact information from the reception. I sent a message to the director and told that I was very disappointed. She told that she will make sure that someone will contact me in the beginning of this week. Anyone has not contacted nor appologized what happened. I can not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall I liked our stay and the hotel. However, the room was a huge disappoin**ent. We were located in the cellar floor (1 st floor) and the room had only small narrow window up the wall, from where we could see the tires of the cars in the parking lot. 😳 Not quite the park view I was dreaming of and the image I had about Aulanko.

The hotel is overall okay. It definitely has a 70’s feeling all over, but everywhere felt and looked clean. We had a nice stay. The rooms were quite hot, no airconditioning in the standard room, but there was a fan that helped. The spa is small, but it’s clean and also okay. The surrounding area is super beautiful, make sure to take a walk. Breakfast standard. The man working as a shift manager at the frontdesk was very friendly when welcoming us. Scandic Aulanko is alright, would consider coming again!

Reception was great! The room was ok, but in the shower shampoo was empty and shower gel almost empty. Toilet seat had a large area of dirt on it. At first I thought it was something that cant be cleaned, but I was able to scrub it off with toilet paper and water. Restaurant was the worst. We ate there twice and the service was bad, slow and the food was just way below the price. In the evening we waited for 15 min to even get our drink order, and ended up sitting at the table for 50 min before getting our food. And then the kitchen was closed before we had the chance to order dessert. The waiters really did not seem that busy, just unprofessional. Hotel is a bit outdated, but if it was clean and the restaurant/bar would function properly, it would not matter, the location is beautiful. Breakfast was ok though I've had better in other Scandic hotels. All in all we feel this hotel does not live up to Scandic standards, but restaurant/bar was the worst part.

Great outdoor scenery but the hotel was quite shabby and the staff seemed miserable. One of the local staff members complained loudly to a younger staff member in front of us guests about a collegues job effort, even though there really was no problem. Very bad manners, local dude about 40 years old who probably was very stressed and wanted to make an impact on the younger workers. Shame on you.
