I relaxed in a room where you can enjoy the ocean view. All rooms have ocean view. It was an inn where Izu Oshima could be seen in front of me. It was inconvenient that there was no towel hanger in the room (Wi-Fi was easily connected). The open-air bath was good in the large communal bath. Even if you take a bath, you can see the sea. The hot spring water smelled a little sulfur from the book. It is a hot spring of the private source. The cold water after the bath was lukewarm. I think it's a good idea to bring mineral water and put it in the refrigerator. The meal was a room meal. Except for pre-prepared and appetizers, they will bring you freshly prepared. Sake is reasonably priced at 300cc 750 yen for local sake in Izu. The contents of both dinner and breakfast were good, and we were able to relax at our own pace in the room. There are few inns for breakfast and room meals. By the way, Mr. Nakai in the room was not very pleasant for the first senior and the next person. I felt cold. It seems that it just opened in April 2022, and it is a beautiful building. Lobby was very large, too, and sofa and table were still there. It's like a hotel in a foreign country. I've never been there, but I thought it was like Hawaii. It was good that the time of sunrise and sunset was written on the front desk. The next day I was able to get up at that time and see the sunrise. The left side of the veranda of the room is the east. All rooms are ocean view, and you can overlook the sea of Izu. Great Pacific! ! ! The sea is quite close and you can always hear the sound of waves. If the weather is clear, you can also see the seven islands of Izu. It's interesting to guess what island that is while looking at the map. Amenity is only a toothbrush in the room. Other than that, please bring it from the front desk when you check in. I didn't really know what was there, so I got everything for the time being (lol) The pool is timed. Put in for an hour and a half. The water was quite cold, so I was grateful to receive a bath towel. I went in the evening and felt a little cold. I didn't swim there, but it's about 25 meters long. The scenery is just wonderful. Sunset, sea, sunset... I could stand by the pool all the time. I returned with the sunset, but the night pool was beautiful at night. It was lit up. You can see the pool from the room. Dinner is a buffet. You can choose from 6:00 to 7:30 or 7:30 to 9:00. It was delicious as usual, and I was satisfied with the number of items. It was full of seafood such as sashimi, grilled shrimp, grilled turban shell in Burgundy, and sushi. I don't know how many pieces of sashimi I ate (laughs) Of course, there are also meat dishes such as roast beef and rafute. Sweets were also substantial, and I could eat as much as I could, such as cakes and brulee. I felt that the T-bag type herbal tea was rare. I drank wild berries and African nectar. I prefer the latter. As for fruit, the melon was sweet and the best. It would have been nice to have breakfast as well. I enjoyed it for an hour and a half, but the guests with children returned to their rooms. I think there were meals that children could eat, such as gratin, shrimp chili, and seafood curry, but it's strange. It was surprising that we were the only ones who stayed until the closing time. Breakfast is also a buffet. Same as the day before, I'm satisfied. Of particular note are the mushroom omelet rice and orange French toast. It is said to be a specialty of Izu. I replaced it several times. I ate a lot of sweets for breakfast as well. The yam compote is impressive. I used the open-air bath twice, one at night and one in the morning. A bathing fee of 150 yen will be charged at check-out, so the more you enter, the more you will get. With an ocean view, I felt like I was soaking in the sea. Feels like an infinity pool. Finally, about transportation. It is safer not to walk from the station. There are many slopes and you will be tired. I am very grateful for the free pick-up service, but I wish it was on time. Is there only one car? We booked the transfer from the train station to the hotel in advance. However, he didn't come to the station when the time came, and when I called him, he was told that he was on his way. Hotel → station transfer told the front desk the departure time on the night of the first day. However, when it was time to leave, the car was nowhere to be found, and the driver would be there in five minutes. It was time for the train, so I was quite confused. The driver was a pro, so I'm glad I made it in time. I was blessed with friends who accompanied me, and it was a fun trip. The hotel was also good overall.

Love the view of the hotel, room is the typical Japanese style tatami and I love it so much. Traveller can enjoy the coffee and microwave which are located in the lobby.

The property has amazing ocean views high on an outcropping, but none of the rooms with an ocean view have a balcony, except the very edge of the east wing. Wonderful gardens with a path lading down to a small beach that isn't too noteworthy. The rooms have been updated since the construction and are pretty good overall. The pool was closed in June, which was pretty disappointing, especially as the beach is below par. The onsen facilities met expectation. The beds are firm, which I loved, but not everyone likes a firm mattress. The hotel operates a bus service to pick up guests from the train station twice an hour from 9-5pm. If you are doing dinner out in the town or drinks in the evening, you have to grab a taxi back as the walk is a bit of a hike. The hotel staff are very friendly and kind, the concierge knows the area and has great recommendation for activities...wonderful and friendly people. The hotel restaurant serves a nice mostly Japanese breakfast (as expected) with local delicacies, wide range of teas, coffee and juice as well as a great selection of breads and fresh fruit. The hotel restaurant for dinner is average. Our group ordered a range of items off the menu and no one was terribly impressed. The lone stand out was the French Onion soup, packed with flavor, though a bit light on the cheese. Would stay here again if the price was right, was able to get rooms at a discount on this stay as it was rainy season.

This used to be our favorite summer spot. We'd return at least once a year, for perhaps 4-5 years in a row. However, we hadn't been back for quite a long time. This is what I learned on our most recent visit: The hotel room (I think we had a ”Hollywood Standard Twin) was quite spacious. The beds were large and comfortable, and there is a nice-sized balcony with a generous ocean view. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast. But what if you want to go ”out to eat” at night, instead of paying between 10-20,000 yen for a meal? Good luck. Unless you have your own car (and I'd say about 90% of the customers

The hotel staff are very kind and courteous! Bonus point is that communication is no problem at all! This time I am traveling by car, and there is free parking space. Although the location is a little far from tourist attractions, there is no problem with driving by yourself! I was originally staying in a room with a shared bathroom, but luckily a room with a private bathroom was available. The hotel staff helped arrange the replacement. Thank you very much🙏 The only two nitpicks are that there is no elevator and the Japanese bathtub in the bathroom is a bit old and I don't dare to soak in it.

Awesome experience, highly recommended! It's a good place to relax and relieve stress. You can wear pajamas in the hotel (including the restaurant) and the service attitude is impeccable. 1. We booked a room with a bathtub, and we could enjoy the mountain and sea views while taking a bath. When it's a little cold outside, it feels super refreshing to jump into the hot spring bathtub♨️ instantly. 2. There are many types of breakfast, mainly Japanese and Western style, Chinese style including Siomai😄. I personally think it is more delicious than those in big hotels. Friends who like Japanese breakfast will be in for a treat. 3. There is a lounge on the first floor, where you can have some snacks, drink some drinks, and chat with family and friends. 4. The dinner is very exquisite and the portion is large. There will be ramen after 9 o'clock. When we went there, it was Jigoku Ramen with black soup. It was delicious😋 5. The hotel is surrounded by small courtyards with single-family houses. You can walk to the beach in 30 minutes from the hotel and meet many diving enthusiasts.

While planning the trip to Izu, we wanted to be close to the ocean and enjoy some excellent seafood (sashimi), and we were not disappointed with the stay at Inatori Tokai Hotel Yuen. The hotel is literally just next to the ocean and since we booked a room with private onsen, it was really a treat soaking in hot onsen water, admiring the view and enjoying the sound of the ocean. Though our first impression of the hotel was that it is a bit dated, the rooms have obviously been newly renovated with a nice modern look. We are a group of four so we booked a Western/Japanese room with two beds and a tatami room. It is a good size for the 4 of us. Dinner was excellent with lots of fresh sashimi; since we chose a menu with lobster and abalone, we would have expected that the portion of the regular sashimi would be reduced, yet this was not the case. Hence, one suggestion is that the portion of sashimi could be adjusted for it was way too much for four people. I like the website of the hotel, which allows me to check all the details including choice of room before making the booking. As it was not a budget stay, it is important for us to make decision based on the best information.

First of all, a hotel with a similar name called ”Hotel Ambient Izu Kogen” is about １ kilometers away, and the location of this ”Hotel Ambient Izu Kogen Annex” is difficult to understand. It doesn't come out even in the car navigation system. And is the entrance here? It is in a place called (see photo). The facility looks like a studio apartment has been remade into a hotel. To be honest, stains and scratches on the walls and carpets are old (the impression is that it is so old that it pulls so far and it is far beyond the renovation time). The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The bath is ok. It is convenient to have activities facilities such as Izu Grand Pal Park, Mt. Omuro, and Izu Shaboten Zoo nearby (car is required). The correspondence of the staff 々 including the front desk was good. I have the impression that it is not old.
