We chose the Somerset Chancellor due to it’s location and the ability to comfortably fit our family of five. The apartments are relatively basic but clean and comfortable with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment, we did need help with plane tickets and the team on the desk were great, helping us work through. The convenience store attached to the hotel was very handy!

Pros: Lovely rooms (two-bedroom) which had everything you needed. Nicely decorated and felt upscale. Hotel was slightly off the main road and rooms were quiet. HCMC roads are busy and noisy!! Small but clean gym, small playground for kids (indoor and outdoor). Pool is big and clean. Restaurant area next to pool. Lobby and reception area is very nice, smells good and has a luxurious feel. Location was good, near the zoo. Cons: only one: breakfast. Vietnamese food is very good but this was the hotel’s weakest link. Limited choice and not that delicious, if you got there after 8.30am almost all the warm food was cold. Hope this can be improved.

The 2-bedroom apartment we stayed in was large and a great space for my family of four. The facilities were very nice but the service is excellent. We would like to thank Handsome Van at the front desk along with every person at the front desk for the next level of service they provided. I really was blown away by the great service we received from the doorman to the servers to the drivers to and from the airport. It has been 5 years since I have been back to Vietnam and the service at the hotel was spectacular. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! They really made my stay wonderful. Thank you Intercontinental Team. We will be back!

Was recommended Intercon and it did not disappoint. Enjoyable stay for a girls' weekend and birthday trip. The hotel's location is the best- right across the Book Street, Notre Dame Cathedral and Post Office and a short walk to a street full of lovely cafes and restaurants and a slightly longer walk to the City Hall and Opera House. We were given a room on the 15th floor with a great view. Beds were very comfortable. Service was friendly and prompt. We will return!

Since Ho Chi Minh often goes on business trips, I think it is a suitable hotel for business trips as a result of visiting about 10 hotels. 1. The price is reasonable, and the breakfast is good compared to other hotels in this price range in District 1. 2. It is good to sleep because the surroundings are quiet at night. 3. As it is a nationwide chain hotel in Vietnam, it is clean and there are many English-speaking staff, so communication is not a problem. 4. I have little fitness, but it is difficult to do simple exercises. 5. The room size is small and the wifi works well 6. There is a Somerset Hotel right in front, and the coffee shop on the first floor is a famous chain store. It is very delicious. It takes 15 minutes to walk to downtown District 7.1 and takes a taxi for 5 minutes and 30,000 dong. 8. It is right behind the Central Post Office, the Ho Chi Minh sightseeing course.

Register for an Accor membership for early check-in. Design and amenities were similar to Novotel Manila. No provided bathrobes or body lotion but these were not showstoppers. Stayed here for two weeks while I was lecturing nearby. Clean. comfortable room - good value for money. But staff were very helpful and caring. I wasn't feeling well one day and the breakfast manager conjured up a lovely rice porridge for me. The hotel is on a lively street with a variety of restaurant choices. I will be back.

They shall do everything in their power to make the stay as pleasant as possible. For example, Long advised us to go to look at the firework from the roof of Roseland Sweet Hotel and reserved a VIP table, we asked 2 additional heads and were brought in an eye-spot, ... The room is clean. The location is also good. The bad thing is the breakfast, not much varieties. We stayed there for 4 days. The first day we get up early and food were still available even though not variety. The second day, we went for breakfast at 9AM, everything empty only bread and one curry left, I asked for white rice to eat with curry but they mentioned that no more. Then the 3rd day, we went early around 8:15/8:20, also same nothing left even no rice. We really disappointed and the last day we even didnt go for lunch, we just order from Grab.

Stayed 4 nights in this well located hotel. Generally satisfied with my stay, hence a 4-star rating. Booked a premier deluxe room but found it rather small, with little storage space for clothes. Room was kept very clean and all equipment in room working. However, the shower curtain was too short, hence wet floor in bathroom after every use. Cleaners are polite and helpful though. Breakfast was reasonably good for the price. There us no spa in the hotel, despite it been listed in the website. Main complaint was the staff downstairs. They were not rude but can be better trained. It's my habit to invite some local friends to join me for breakfast. First morning, I invited 2 guests and, despite informing the staff that I would pay for the., they were stopped at the entrance and told in vietnamese that they had to pay. I had to intervene but it still took some time and embarrassment to get them in. A few minutes later, I was presented with the bill at the table. Surely they could wait until we were done. Adter breakfast, I wanted to pick up my case before leaving for a meeting with the guests. Again they were stopped although I told them it was just for a minute to pick up my bag. I understand the need for security but there was no flexibility. On another occasion, a friend, a local university professor, came to visit and she parked her motorbike at the basement. There she was rudely interrogated. I felt disappointed and embarrassed that my local friends were treated so badly. I would be hesitant to stay here again unless improvement in these areas are made. Overall, I like the cleanliness, security and location if the hotel.

From the airport to the hotel, Grab was used, 131.000VND (about 780 yen) return 232.000VND (about 1380 yen). It has just opened, everything is new, and it is the same as a Japanese business hotel. The front desk staff were cheerful, kind and polite, and the employee education was well done, and the customer service was great. The deluxe room is spacious 々, comfortable beds, bathroom facilities are all TOTO products, amenities are substantial, temperature control water pressure is perfect shower and perfect. Breakfast is also rich in variety with Japanese and Western food pho, especially miso soup is the Japanese taste! It was delicious. The elevator is room key authentication and has complete security measures. The rooftop pool is also wide 々 and comfortable. It is located on the street that is one back from the Japanese town, but it is a convenient place to go anywhere. When I requested to change the breakfast the next morning to the meal box for late night check-out, I was very happy to have a Japanese lunch box at check-out. Thank you very much! I was able to spend comfortably. I want a stay that is completely the same as the Japanese business environment, and I want to eat delicious Japanese food for breakfast! This is an absolute recommended hotel for those who say. Very satisfied, Lipi confirmed!

Northern Charm is a nice little hotel in a great location in District 1. It is within walking distance of all the main tourist attractions and popular bars/restaurants. We were upgraded for free on our arrival which was a nice touch. The room was small but comfortable and clean. The bathroom amenities were limited but it was also very clean. The view over the surrounding area was quite lovely - you could see the cathedral (it’s scaffolded now but sure will be lovely when it’s fixed.) Unfortunately, we had some issue with the bathroom flooding. The management offered to change our room but since we only had one more night before check out, we didn’t change. The damp smell was very overwhelming after this and we had to open the windows to clear it. The breakfast was quite limited in options - there could be more pastries, cereals, yoghurts and more hot options but what we had was very nice and set us up for the day.

I’ve had enjoyed their breakfast, how welcoming they are and most importantly Tony cooks great scrambled eggs! 🤣 The hotel is extremely clean, house keeping was constantly given. Wide variety of breakfast with juice and water, vending machines which can solve your needs and you could even clean your laundry with their laundromat here. Payments are easy using your room card and no need to carry cash around.

This is the best boutique hotel at HCM. Read alot of good comments and they didn't disappoint. Love their design - modern and classy, cleaniless and overall maintenance is top notch. Service standard is comparable any 5-star branded chain, they knew I celebrating special occasion, and they were nice to upgrade my room and set up for surprise celebration. Right from the arrival, they were able to provide 5 star hotel service at affordable price There is a guard at the entrance to guide taxi, and open door for guest. Bcos it is relatively small hotel, they are able to provide more attentive service to guest. Special thanks to the hotel manager Ms Thuan for her kind arrangement. The room is very spacious and comfortable, great for rest after long day exploring the city. Note: the breakfast here is not to be missed. Although the spread is small but it is delicous, it has all the standard BF item you want. they also provide complimentary afternoon tea for you and mini bar filled essential soft drink. definitely coming back to Bach Suite next time I am back at HCM.

Overall the service and rooms were pretty good, however there was a little embarrassing moment at check-in when they asked the me to write down on paper the name of my girlfriend when she was already on the booking. They proceeded to tell me that it is okay this time only, but next time I need to book an extra room for my girlfriend. It was really embarrassing and I was actually kind of offended. I won't be paying for an extra room next time just quietly, If I am turned away I will take my business elsewhere.
