Hong Kong Hostels

"The is called a Youth Hostel, though if you are a more mature person looking for a cheap ensuite room to stay in , then this is the place for you. If you have booked a private room you will not be experiencing any type of hostel vibe if you do not wish and will not be disturbed by groups of backpackers. Apart from check in, you will get the elevator straight to your floor view it just as a cheap hotel. If you are a backpacker looking for a cheap and convenient place to stay , then this is for you. If you are the type of backpacker who is looking for the upbeat, energetic vibe, this is not one of those places…though there are posters up related to pub crawls, activities and tours. There is a small common area in the receptions area with a small kitchen corner, some books and games. Several reviews have commented on small beds: ordinary people live in very cramped conditions in HK and furniture sizes reflect this so beds are unlikely to be comfortable for tall people as budget accommodation is unlikely to pay extra to purchase atypical bed sizes. Hong Kong is always ranked within the top 2 of the cities with high cost of living. This is a very good bargain for Hong Kong. I stayed in a private ensuite room and in the past I have paid more for less, both in HK and elsewhere. I am going to San Franscisco soon and am paying the same price for less nights and a shared bathroom."

"Very satisfied, it can be said that it exceeded expectations. The location is great, near Queen's Road Central, Sheung Wan Station. The facilities are more complete than expected, with separate storage compartments, slippers, hot water, separate toilets, showers, shower gel and shampoo, which are refreshing. The guests are very quiet and there is no interference with each other. Self-service check-in, no time limit. If you just want to rest quietly for a night, it is a good choice. Will stay again. Recommended."

"economically great for family travellers, good location as it is accessible to night market, MTR and surrounded with malls and restaurants but inside hostel is quiet and can rest peacefully.  the only comment i had is some guests still insist to smoke even there are restrictions."

"I checked into the hotel easy to find, Haiphong Mansion, On the 13th floor right across from the MTR station. Checking in was quick and no problem even though the visa office had my passport to get a China work visa. The ladies working here are amazing, Even kindly gave advice to a very young solo traveler. For the price in Hong Kong I felt like the bed was comfortable sheets were clean and I’m happy to wake up this morning 😁☀️"

"青旅位置非常方便，尖沙咀彌敦道地鐵站的C2出口出來左邊第一棟樓，到店門口掃描加店家的微信，發訂單截圖和報個名字，店家確認身份後就可以自助入住很方便，剛好服務員在內打掃衞生，請教一下附近的景點和食的地方，她非常親和解釋得非常詳細，房間是新的洗手間非常非常乾凈，抵讚，還有一個特點他是頂層外面露天平台有一個桌子可以抽煙，對我來説香港的大廈都禁煙，這對我非常方便。整體非常滿意，下次一定再來。"

Davis, offering panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, especially at sunrise and sunset—absolutely stunning! ✅ Affordable & Great Value: Compared to most accommodations in Hong Kong, this hostel offers great value for money, making it a budget-friendly option for travellers. ✅ Tranquil Atmosphere: Unlike hotels in the city centre, this place is surrounded by nature, perfect for those who want a relaxing stay. ✅ Friendly Staff: The hostel staff were welcoming and helpful, providing useful tips on getting around. ✅ Outdoor Common Area: There’s a nice outdoor area where you can sit back, enjoy the fresh air, and take in the views. A Few Things to Note: 🔹 Location & Transport: Since the hostel is located on a hill, getting there requires taking a shuttle bus (provided by the hostel) or a taxi. If you prefer a more adventurous route, a scenic hike up Mt. Davis is an option, of course please do it during the day time. 🔹 Basic Amenities: This is a youth hostel, so don’t expect luxury. The rooms are simple but clean, with basic beds and shared facilities. Bring your own toiletries for added comfort. 🔹 Limited Dining Options: There isn’t a restaurant on-site, so it’s best to bring your own food or plan to eat before heading up. The common kitchen is available for light meal prep. 🔹 WIFI coverage & Speed, the signal in room is very pool, I started a 10 mins YouTube video at night and cannot reach to the end after sun rise. Overall Experience: If you're an adventurer, a backpacker, or someone looking for a quiet escape with fantastic views, I highly recommend this hostel. It may not be for those seeking high-end comforts, but for nature lovers and budget-conscious travellers, it’s a hidden gem on Hong Kong Island! 🌿🏙️ Would I stay here again? Yes! "I feel extremely lucky to have found this little gem in Hong Kong. The dorms are extremely well laid out, with plenty of space for the suitcase and personal belongings. The bedrooms and bathrooms are sparkling clean, the common areas are cosy, there's everything you need in terms of kitchen utensils, the water pressure in the showers is amazing, the rooftop is a really place to hang out in the evenings, and most of all, the host Patricia makes you feel at home. I got there solo, and after a few nights I'm leaving with a bunch of friends. This place certainly has a magical power 😊"

"Quite a comfortable room, has everything you need. Yes, there is not enough space, but for Hong Kong these are very good conditions, cheap, and also in the city center, we really liked it. We speak Chinese and English, but at the reception there was a Chinese guy who speaks Russian, we were very pleasantly surprised. He asked us when our flight was and recommended a bus to the airport, which stops near the hotel. We only had pleasant impressions, so I recommend this hotel."
