"The hotel is in Longma Village. The room has two floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s a pity that there were no stars that night, otherwise the viewing effect would have been very good. It's a ten-minute drive from the Sama Dam Observation Deck. I rushed there early in the morning, but unfortunately the weather was not good and I didn't get to see the beautiful view of the terraced fields at sunrise. There is also a terrace for drinking tea. You can see the terraced fields through the window. The owner and his family are very hospitable and treat guests like their own family members. It feels like home. We arrived at around 8 o'clock that evening and happened to happen to happen to see the boss's family having a banquet. The meal was sumptuous and we ate, drank and chatted together. The proprietress told us that these days were the Lanzaza Festival. We didn’t know it was a festival before we came, we just wanted to find a secluded place to stay for a few days. This was a pleasant surprise. After eating and drinking, I had tea and chatted with the boss, just like meeting old friends after a long absence."

Before checking in, I was quite worried about a disappointing experience, since the Samaba Rice Terraces aren't as well-developed as Yuanyang, and given the limited facilities, I had low hopes for the accommodation. However, reality was a huge surprise! The same accommodation and views would probably cost over a thousand yuan in Yuanyang. Precisely because it's less developed than Yuanyang, it has retained the unique simplicity and warmth of Samaba. Whether it's food or lodging, there's absolutely no need to worry about being burned. Originally, I only planned to stay one day, but I decided to skip Yuanyang and stay two more nights. The owner's wife's dumplings were amazing. Every Sunday is market day in Baohua Town; those interested can check it out, or join Brother Dongyu to observe wedding banquets – it's really fun. If you can handle spicy food, try the grilled fish in town; I highly recommend it."

"After watching Yuanyang terraces, I rushed to Honghe County directly. It was not in the plan. Honghe County should be more than a mountain city. The road slope is very large. The location of the hotel is OK. Parking is also very convenient. It is very fast to enter and exit the county. It can be imagined that it is glorious in the past, but after all, the decoration is a bit old and the breakfast is relatively simple. As a county seat is also a good choice. Honghe County seems to be not developing very well compared to other counties in Yunnan, and I look forward to a new development and change next time."
