Outstanding
BBenjo8The location was very peaceful and not too far from the Main Street of Jiaoxi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and there was a very nice live music performance in the evening. The pool area was nice, and the hot spring private areas were sufficient. The breakfast and dinner buffet I would say is one of the best in Jiaoxi in terms of the Spa hotels and the rooms were well sound insulated. We would definitely come again and my infant certainly enjoyed it. One of the more expensive hot spring hotels in Jiaoxi but if you want a quiet and peaceful few days with activities, good food and with easy access to the mountains for a nice walk I would recommend this place. Minor criticism for the rooms I would say is the cleanliness. There were slight dust in places and because there is carpet, and if you’re prone to dust allergy be prepared. Saying that if they have a room without carpet that would be perfect, but nonetheless, we would definitely come again.

HHUANG JUNGSHENThe housekeeping staff were sincere and promptly addressed guests' issues. The concierge team created unforgettable memories and happy times for guests. The hot spring bath in the room was large enough for the whole family to enjoy together, laughing and having a great time. Thank you, Phoenix Hotel, for your thoughtful arrangements and hospitality. The food has improved significantly, it's truly refreshing and a huge step up from six months ago – a testament to diligent management and operation. This time, I hosted foreign friends, and they were all amazed. Thank you all!

Very Good
VVkwanAwesome hot spring hotel with spectacular view at rooftop pool, movie night and hot spring. Breakfast buffet and spacious room and in room amenities. Highly recommended and definitely will stay there again. Dinner at hotel restaurant because it’s raining, tasty and great service but feel a bit rush with 100 minutes time limit.

潔潔JessThe service here is impeccable, truly! All the staff are incredibly friendly. My kids absolutely loved the children's play area on the second floor. The hot spring bath in our room was so spacious and wonderfully relaxing – pure bliss! The breakfast selection was also excellent, and we enjoyed the oden available in the evenings.

GGuest UserStayed at Hotel PIN from 10/4/26 to 14/4/26. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from the time we checked in till we checked out. The staff were all very courteous, polite & helpful. They even helped with the setting up of the baby chair for our 2 x young kids during meal times.
The rooms are very clean & it comes with a spa pool in every room. The housekeeping staff (Ben & Lemon) must be commended for keeping our rooms clean every single day we were there.
The hotel also provides free tea break & supper everyday for its guest.
The location is ideal & it is within walking distance to the Jiaoxi town areas with many convenience stores, nice local, street & Japanese food within 5 to 10mins walk. Overall a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

GGuest UserThe staff were incredibly friendly, and there was even a Cantonese-speaking staff member who helped answer our questions. Housekeeping was very prompt in delivering requested items, very responsible. The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk to Jiaoxi Train Station. While the Jiaoxi Transfer Station is a bit further, it's still an acceptable walk within 12-15 minutes, and a taxi isn't expensive. I recommend taking the bus for a quick and convenient trip to and from Taipei or Taoyuan Airport.

GGuest UserThis is my third stay at this hotel, and each visit brings a different feeling and pleasant surprise. This time, I got to experience yet another room design, and you can really feel the hotel's dedication to space and detail. Every room type has its own unique style and comfort, which keeps things from feeling monotonous and actually makes me look forward to each new stay.
The room was, as always, clean and tidy. The overall atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable, perfect for unwinding during a trip. The staff were also as friendly as ever, making me feel at ease and well-cared for from check-in to check-out.
This time, I also paid more attention to the hotel's surroundings. There are actually quite a few great cafes and shops nearby, making for enjoyable strolls in the morning or afternoon. The location is very convenient overall, whether it's for dining out or getting to other places.
All in all, it's a hotel I'd definitely return to again and again. Not only are the basic amenities excellent, but there's also a wonderfully relaxing and reassuring vibe. I'll certainly choose to stay here again if I have the chance, and I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a more leisurely travel pace.

GGuest UserLocation: The hotel boasts a superb location, right next to a convenience store and surrounded by numerous dining options, making it incredibly convenient.
Staff: While the staff's English was limited and no Japanese was spoken, they made a genuine effort to communicate effectively using smartphone translation apps. We encountered no issues whatsoever.
Hot Spring: Absolutely fantastic! The hot spring water had a slightly cloudy, almost silky texture that left my skin feeling incredibly smooth afterward. The onsen facility itself was thoughtfully designed, featuring excellent ventilation and strong water flow, which encouraged me to enjoy multiple soaks. The large windows created a bright and open atmosphere during the day and a wonderfully tranquil mood at night, truly enhancing the entire hot spring experience. I would absolutely love to stay here again on my next visit to Jiaoxi Onsen!

AAirplane mode NiI really wanted to love this hotel because it has some great features, especially for families. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which made a positive impression right away.
However, there were several downsides that made the experience disappointing. The location feels quite isolated—almost like you’re in the middle of nowhere. While there is a train station about 10 minutes away, getting there with a stroller was difficult and inconvenient due to the lack of sidewalks.
Unfortunately, our room had a leaking ceiling that appeared moldy, which was concerning and definitely not what you expect from a hotel of this caliber. On top of that, you can hear trains passing by every so often, which can be disruptive.
One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was for the kids’ playground and the buffet. While the playground was a nice feature, the buffet did not meet expectations as it was disappointing for a fancy hotel.
Overall, the friendly staff were a highlight, but the issues with the room, location, and dining made the stay fall short of expectations.
AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.
