Posted on Mar 28, 2024|Shanlin Thai Offer Room (Leisure Tree View)
2morrowsworldRelatively cheap accommodation with window/balcony facing karst mountain, and just 100m from the Li River. Some nice Thai themed embellishments decorate the rooms. Bed is only a small 'double' and has one useable powerpoint near bed right side + light controls. Aircon works well (only small room so to be expected). Overall, OK for 100 RMB per night, but does have a few issues.
Booked the 'special promotion' room. Trip.com indicates a room size of 12m square metres, which is incorrect. I measured it at 9.5 square, including the bathroom. If including the small balcony (2.5 sq m), the total room area is 12m best case. Only large enough for single occupancy, with small amount of luggage. Two people would need to climb over eachother to move around. No where near enough space for two - luggage would need to be kept outside on the balcony!
Hot water works but is not properly calibrated. Either boiling hot or freezing cold. Extremely difficult to find the right temperature to shower with any comfort. I put full hot, and waited. Water got super hot after 40 seconds. Adjusted to reduce by setting at middle between hot/cold, but water temperature remained super hot. Then pushed to full cold. Water temperature transitioned to cold 29 seconds later. Then put back to middle position but water remained dead cold. Tested this both ways for at least 4 minutes each and remained either scolding hot or freezing cold!!
Hotel provides signs to indicate desire to 'please clean room' and I hang this on outer door handle for two days, but to no avail So can only assume the owners don't provide this service. This establishment is only rated as a 2 star hotel, and given the low price point, you really can't complain - on the condition that the tariff is low. Acceptable for 100 -120 RMB per night. Unacceptable for much more than this though.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An Absolutely Fantastic Stay - Made My Yangshuo Trip!
I just had to write a review for this wonderful hotel. My stay here was absolutely perfect, largely thanks to one person.
First off, the location is ideal. It's located very near West Street, which made it incredibly convenient to grab food, check out the party scene, and easily hail a DiDi. You're right in the heart of the action without being in a noisy building.
The room itself was so cozy and comfortable. After a long day of exploring, the hot shower was a lifesaver, and I appreciated that they provided complete toiletries—one less thing to worry about packing!
Now, for the highlight of my stay: the guy at the reception. He was incredibly welcoming and helpful from the moment I arrived. He truly went above and beyond to help me. One evening, he even sat down with me over a cup of tea and helped me plan my itineraries, offering fantastic local tips. He arranged carpooling services for me, which made getting to the various sights so much easier and more affordable.
My entire stay in Yangshuo was smoother and more enjoyable because of him. That guy is 1000% great! Kudos to him and to the hotel for having such a fantastic employee.
I can't recommend this place highly enough!

Alena787We booked a room with a sofa bed. It was very cozy, a nice, spacious room with a beautiful view.
Note: the hotel doesn't have an elevator; our room was on the 5th floor.
It's easy to find by address and save a photo of the facade. The hotel is practically at the intersection (about a 45-minute walk from the bus station, where the bus from the train station arrives, so a taxi is best). It's located next to one of the entrances to the western street. There's a ”Zaichik” store nearby with drinks and convenience foods. It's a 7-minute walk from the river. The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. You can also rent a moped at the hotel and explore the stunning surrounding area.
We wanted to stay longer, but we already had tickets booked for further travel.

Guest UserThis was my favourite hotel I’ve stayed in in China. The location is super convenient being only a 4 minute walk to west street, but also in an area where it’s quite at night. The room itself is very clean and comfortable, and the best is sooo comfortable. The room offers nice views of the mountains. You can also rent scooters downstairs for 20yuan a day which is very good. Everyone is very helpful. I would definitely recommend it

Gal2020As a former tourism practitioner, I have stereotypes about Yangshuo that have accumulated over the years: tourist-oriented, commercialized, and a rip-off university. It wasn't until I wanted to try rock climbing that I decided to check it out. It turns out that the off-season for ordinary tourists is the peak season for rock climbers. Look for the Rock Climbing Inn on Xiaohongshu. This is the only one located in the Yulong River Scenic Area. I'm glad I chose it instead of the noisy and monotonous West Street. There is a delicious country bakery, a car rental company and Meiyajia at the door. The rooms are clean and spacious, the public areas are spacious, the small courtyard is lovely, there is a free bouldering wall, a beautiful boss who will give you professional guidance and her even more beautiful mother - we even had a sumptuous dinner she cooked 🍲.
It is recommended to stay in a high-rise room with a balcony, which is suitable for rock climbing enthusiasts, parents and children, people with pets, friends, families and other types of travel.

Forever Young China TravelWhat a find! A very special little hotel set on the banks of the Lijiang River. We had a wonderful room next to the waterfall, with the soothing sound of water to sleep by. I loved the bathtub on the balcony and there were so many other touches which make this place just a perfect place to stay in Yangshou. Close enough to walk to West Street and all the shops and restaurants but peaceful being set away from the noise.

WuliuliudiheiyanzhuThe only downside is the lack of an elevator. The owner is very thoughtful and provides convenient and effective assistance to guests with everything from hygiene, parking management, dining, room service, to travel arrangements. Many thanks! I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance. Plus, many foreigners stay here. The view from the rooftop is stunning, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. A short walk along the river offers beautiful scenery.

Yangshuo Jing Yuan Inn is a lovely little hotel in a beautiful place. The owner is very friendly, kind and helpful and for international travellers, she also speaks great English. The hotel is right across the water from Yangshuo’s busy nightlife of West Street but is in a lovely quiet secluded street itself. A water taxi can take you to the heart of the nightlife within minutes! The scenery is amazing, the double room we had was comfortable and clean and had everything we need including very good air conditioning and private bathroom/shower. I would prefer a small friendly, good value hotel like this one to some of the bigger and more expensive options in Yangshuo. Owner can help arrange tours and activities and there are loads of nice restaurants and noodle bars close by.

I had the best time. (1) They arranged everything so I have a good time climbing, and also doing other things. So flexible about location and time. (2) The stay was very comfortable too! And what a great place for climbers, they have all the equipment you need. (3) I also made a mistake and lost my train. They helped me figure out a solution and organize everything at the last minute. (4) Location was perfect, I could easily access the restaurants and shops in town. And did not expect such a lovely view from the inn’s street. It is also right next to a path alongside the river.

Budget accommodation option hidden in the back alleys between West Street and Osmanthus Creek. Amidst of all the nightime venues music restaurants and pubs, so plenty of noise up to 2 am. Moise is tolerable, in fact not too bad if in the room, and obviously not a problem at all if out and about until late. Perfect location in the latter case - e.g. only 40m from 'Miss Yangshuo', 60m from RNG, and 100m from Luan le and Pica Pica bars!
Cheap room (100 quai) equipped with as new air conditioning, smart tv, and very comfortable king sized bed. Bathroom ok. Water pressure strong and hot water system responsive. Stayed in smallest double room but still ample space for 1 person. Lady owner is attentive to guests and has a professional outlook. Good choice if keen to go out drinking on a weekend in Yangshuo!
