I have traveled to more than 30 countries over the past 12 years, and this is the first time I have truly felt that I could call a hotel ”home”—even though so many hotels try to create that feeling. We live in France and flew to China for vacation, hoping to experience both the peaceful natural wonders and the lively local culture of Yangshuo. This hotel’s location is perfect! It sits directly in front of the Li River with an unobstructed view, yet it is just a short walk to West Street and the harbor. We could easily switch between a peaceful, relaxing session overlooking the river and an energetic exploration of the local crowds. Taking a warm bath while gazing at the river and mist-shrouded mountains—all while enjoying local tea and sweets—was an unforgettable experience. The hotel itself is brand new, featuring excellent and spotless facilities, including a 24-hour free self-service laundry and a rooftop with stunning open views. The design beautifully blends modern style with local Chinese Zhuang culture. On top of that, the hotel offers free access to local ”Ta-Ying” activities, photo shoots in traditional minority costumes, and discounted tickets for popular local shows like Impression Liu Sanjie. Most importantly, the hospitality was extraordinary. The team treated us with immense care and kindness from the moment we arrived until well after we got back home to France! They used professional translation devices to ensure seamless communication. The hotel manager, Ms. Ni, along with front desk staff Ms. Deng and Ms. Li, not only responded attentively to every request throughout our stay, but also provided invaluable advice for exploring Yangshuo. We were even given a thoughtful gift set when checking out at 6:00 AM, followed by a warm message once we returned home. This level of hospitality truly deserves to be recognized and appreciated. I am deeply grateful for their professionalism and hard work, and I wish the entire team and the hotel all the best!

This is my second time here. I didn't bother looking elsewhere and just came back to this place. We're a big group, so we stayed in the duplex. The pictures showed two large and two small beds, but when we arrived, it was actually one large bed, one small bed, and a sofa bed. The small bed is suitable for one person, and the large bed is for two. Since my kids are older now, I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed with two of them. Once opened, it made walking around a bit difficult, but the owner and his wife were so accommodating, so I let it go! Looking at the pictures again, I realize the bathtub in the bathroom is oriented differently from what I saw in person, and the giraffe isn't in this room either. You can pet cats here, which my kids loved. I recommend everyone come to Zizun Inn! The renovation added an elevator, which is very convenient.

Yangshuo: My Third Visit to this World-Class Wonderland! 48 Hours of Poetry and Beyond in the Mountains. You can always trust that Guilin's landscapes are the best under heaven. For a weekend getaway with my bestie, we chose to stay at the In Waterside Hotel. My absolute favorite was their infinity pool! 🏊‍♀️ Floating afternoon tea with endless mountains all around – just chilling there felt so relaxing. It's truly a dream come true to witness such a picturesque place. The room also had huge floor-to-ceiling windows. Waking up to mountain views and the Li River was incredibly blissful! 🥰 Honestly, every picture turned out amazing. The butler service offered a seamless experience. There's also a sunset cafe on the rooftop! ☕️ The cafe is incredibly photogenic! Sipping afternoon tea with the breeze, and the desserts were fantastic too – a bite of that rich, creamy cheesecake was pure heaven. Every casual snap looked like a masterpiece, the atmosphere was simply perfect 📷. The evening sunset and glow were so tranquil and relaxing. Every single moment was breathtakingly beautiful! 🎨 I ended up staying a whole week because I didn't want to check out. The room was spacious with great natural light, and the ambiance was fantastic. I'd say it's the best hotel I've ever stayed at while traveling. Facilities: Very comprehensive, you could say they have everything. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy, nothing to complain about. Service: Excellent service; they even helped with tourist attraction inquiries. The breakfast is a buffet, and the Guilin rice noodles were absolutely delicious!

My stay at the Xiangzhang Hotel was a great experience! The hotel is located within the Ten-Mile Gallery scenic area, boasting a beautiful environment with independent small quadrangle courtyards. The rooms are spacious and include a separate living room. Breakfast is à la carte, allowing you to try various styles of delicious and exquisite dishes. The butler was very responsible; they responded quickly whenever I had a question. I also want to give a special shout-out to the travel photographer, Chenchen 📸. Her photography skills are outstanding! She's great at finding angles and guides poses naturally, resulting in stunning photos. Even the original shots have a wonderful ambiance. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend her! Additionally, the hotel's spa is worth trying; the masseuses are from Bali and their techniques are professional.

Five-star review | Family stay experience at Sugar House Yangshuo ✨ Our family of three chose Sugar House for our trip, and the overall experience was perfect, highly recommended for families with kids! The hotel, a renovated old sugar mill, blends industrial architecture with the stunning Guilin landscape, creating an incredible atmosphere where every photo looks like a masterpiece. The room was spacious and clean, with a great view from the balcony. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, responding quickly to any issues. We even received complimentary welcome fruit upon check-in – the attention to detail was excellent. I have to rave about the two activities our child loved the most! The infinity pool had clean water and was backed by the karst mountains, making splashing around incredibly fun. Adults could also relax and enjoy the scenery. Then there was the delightful 'hanging basket snack' activity: when the rattle drum sounded, we'd lower the bamboo basket from our balcony and receive a basket full of snacks. Our child absolutely loved it and was always excited for this part, which felt fresh and new every time. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety, and the Guilin rice noodles were authentic and delicious. The hotel's public areas were beautiful, and there were several family-friendly activities, so we didn't need to go far to have a fulfilling time. It truly felt like a vacation, and I highly recommend it for families. We'll definitely be back!

This is the best hotel in Yangshuo. Compared to The Sugarcane, VOCO, Hwa Peng, and Banyan Tree, it offers the best value for money. The staff are well-trained and provide genuine assistance. Even after checking out, they continued to answer all our questions about our itinerary. We stayed in the Jingxuan Villa, which was comfortably sized with excellent facilities. The nightly turndown gifts were a lovely touch. The travel photography service was also good, and the photographer had a great attitude. The entire garden landscape is beautifully maintained, and the various small animals like peacocks, geese, ducks, goldfish, and alpacas provided a wonderful and relaxing experience for guests. If you're driving, the hotel's location isn't remote at all. It's about a 20-minute drive to the Ten-Mile Gallery, and also 20 minutes to take a bamboo raft on the Yulong River. Xingping Ancient Town Pier is only half an hour away. Personally, I think it's far superior to the guesthouses near the Ten-Mile Gallery and Yulong River – there's simply no comparison. We had a wonderful two-night, three-day stay. It left a deep impression on our trip to Yangshuo.

The hotel also features a kids' playground 🎠 and an outdoor pool 🏊, making it easy to keep the little ones entertained. The rooms are clean and tidy with excellent attention to detail 🏠. The breakfast buffet offers great quality, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles taste superb 🍜. A good breakfast sets you up perfectly for the day ahead. Located by the Li River, with smooth access to the underground parking. It's also very close to the commercial district, making dining and getting around super convenient. Again, the rooms are clean and tidy with great attention to detail. The breakfast buffet is high quality, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles are truly delicious.

Unbeatable location, but seriously disappointing when things went wrong Let's start with the biggest win: this hotel is smack-dab in the middle of absolutely everything! You literally cannot ask for a better spot – walking distance to all the main attractions, restaurants, and transport. For location, it gets a perfect 10/10. Now for the tough part. We had the really bad luck that the hotel experienced a major water supply issue during our stay. And I mean major – we couldn't use the toilet, take a shower, or even wash our hands. For any traveler, that's a complete nightmare and honestly unacceptable for a hotel stay. To give them some credit, the hotel did try to smooth things over by offering our entire family free breakfast as compensation. While the gesture was nice, I have to be blunt: free breakfast just doesn't cut it when you can't perform basic daily necessities. For the level of inconvenience we endured – not being able to shower or flush the toilet – the hotel should have offered a much more appropriate solution, such as a partial refund for the affected night(s). My verdict? Book this place for the incredible location – you won't beat it. But my strong advice is: if anything major goes wrong during your stay, don't settle for a free meal. Push for proper financial compensation, because a few croissants and coffee simply don't make up for not having running water. Great spot, but they really need to step up their customer service game when serious issues arise!
