"I was in room 211 where I had a little balcony looking onto the river and nearby mountains. It was perfect. No complaints whatsoever, everything was better than I expected, the view, the service, and the food, you name it. Nothing was too much for the staff who were able to help in English. Only a slow 10 mins walk away from west street and all the restaurants you need. Also appreciated afternoon tea provided on the 5th floor. Overall an amazing stay and I’ll definitely be back. "

"We had a great stay because of the location we didn't trust much about this hotel before we entered, but surprisingly, the room was very clean, the staff was good and helpful. It was a bit noisy not from the street, but from the neighbors, we traveled during the May holiday, which is a very crowded time. In general, it is a good hotel, very close to the West Street and also surrounded by lots of restaurants."

"We stayed at Four Seasons Fairyland in Yangshuo and overall had a pleasant experience. Initially, we were checked into a room that wasn’t quite ready — it had an unpleasant smell and didn’t meet cleanliness expectations. However, the hotel handled it very well and upgraded us to a much larger, more comfortable room. The upgrade was a nice gesture, and the room we eventually stayed in was spacious, quiet, and great to come back to after a full day out. The daily breakfast was decent — while the menu doesn’t change much, the variety was fair, and we never left hungry. Waking up to views of the iconic karst mountains of Yangshuo each morning was truly special and made the stay feel grounded in the natural charm of the area. Location-wise, the hotel is conveniently near many key attractions, which made getting around and exploring the area quite easy. One big plus: the staff went above and beyond for us when we had multiple packages arriving from Taobao — helping us coordinate deliveries and pick-ups smoothly. That extra support was really appreciated and speaks to their thoughtful service. A minor downside: the TV in the room didn’t work initially and took a bit of troubleshooting on our own to figure out a fix. The only real disappointment was with the in-house photography experience. While the photographer was skilled and we enjoyed the complimentary 3-photo package, the editor’s attitude left a bad impression. She was impatient and didn’t give us space to decide which photos we wanted to keep or buy. I’d suggest just enjoying the 3 free photos and skipping the upsell unless you really want more. Overall, a solid stay in Yangshuo with great service, beautiful views, and thoughtful touches — just a few things to note depending on what you value during your trip."

"Room was very clean, and toilet and shower were separate. Smoking was apparently permitted in rooms despite my request for a non-smoking room, but there was no smoke smell in the room and it was well ventilated with the attached balcony which faced the river and had pretty views. I had issues with the electricity tripping, but the front desk resolved this very quickly by giving me a card specifically for the power outlet in my room. The hotel had washers and dryers for clothes free to use for all guests and even an area with hangers and poles to air dry your laundry, but the time I was there, there were many insects at night (the hotel did put a warning sign at the door). The laundry also apparently closes at 11pm but I did not notice this until I was done with my laundry at 1am. The caretaker who did the evening rounds also did not chase me away and let me use the area until I completed my laundry. The hotel was located near the Longtoushan pier where the Li River Cruises end and disembark. It’s supposedly a 3-5-min walk from the pier to the hotel, but the area tends to be very crowded as all the cruises tend to arrive together (~1.30-2pm). The stretch of pavement from the pier to the street is also very bumpy and not luggage-friendly, but you may contact the hotel to fetch you with a buggy but they tend to be too busy to accommodate at that time too. Apart from this timing, the street is generally very quiet. If walking at night, i would recommend bringing a torch light as the street is very dark. It’s also a 10-15min walk away from Xijie (west street) where there are many food options and souvenirs. The hotel has an attached cafe and restaurant too if you just want to chill in the afternoon. It’s a little pricey for this area but overall a good and comfortable stay! The rooftop also has very pretty views of the mountains and the river, and a great place for some quiet time in the morning!"

"The hotel was situation in the most scenic spot in Yangshuo. The staff are really caring and attentive. I didn’t have a local phone number and we communicated throughout using Wechat which worked perfectly. The noodles at breakfast was superb! They delivered daily fruits and night time dessert to our room. Plenty of water and drinks in the room. The 30 minute free photography session was great. The photographer was XiaoMo 小莫。 The 管家 Service was so attentive. 小顾Lynn and 覃西西Xixi thank you for making our stay amazing. We didn’t try their afternoon tea since we were out. The view from the room is unbeatable. We stayed in Block 8. Hotel transfer and pick to West Street was also very helpful."

"The trip has been amazing. Room is super clean, breakfast is very tasty and not crowded, even dinner inside hotel is tasty and healthy.   Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful, especially Lucy at reception has always been there for us, help us with planning our itineraries. View from the room is also stunning. Hotel is conveniently located, 10 mins taxi ride from town center."

"Great choice, i recommend i with my whole heart . Room is very clean ,beautiful and the lady at the reception is amazing. She helped us with information and also to book shared shuttle back to Guilin. Motirbikes can be rented via hotel. Also breakfast was very good"

"Big room with plenty of space, in a perfect location right in the heart of West Street, yet completely quiet with no noise at all. E-bike rental is available right outside the hotel entrance. Staff speak a good level of English, finally. Every day you get fresh fruit, candies in the room, and free drinks. Truly an amazing experience."

"Our stay was beyond perfect! There are a few homestays getting built nearby, but this one has the mountain view (we stayed on the 6th floor). It can't compare. The room was exactly as described. The air conditioning was very welcome for my husband and I, who are not used to subtropical humidity. The hosts were super kind and thoughtful. We went on a hike and had to clean our shoes, and the homestay manager even brought us a shoe dryer. My husband caught a cold and they brought him ginger soup. They had wonderful recommendations for us in Xingping, and there was plenty to do nearby. Easily one of our favorite stays during our three-week trip across China."

"Our stay at the YiShan YunShui hotel was great! The room itself, and the view that could be enjoyed from there, were simply amazing 😍 (totally corresponding to the pictures on Trip). Mr. Li and all the staff from the reception have been very friendly and helpful. Mr. Li, especially, went to great lengths to help us plan our time in Yangshuo at best, giving us many useful tips and suggestions on places to visit and activities to do. He helped us rent some bikes at a very very good price, and he also helped us buy some delivery food on our last day 🙏🏻 (ps. I speak some Chinese, but a plus for those foreign tourists who do not speak any Chinese is that Mr. Li also speaks English, so no need to worry 😉). The staff also helped us hire a driver to take us to Guilin North Station early in the morning, to make sure that we would have made it for our train to our next destination! Another great perk of this hotel is the in-room washing machine…VERY USEFUL and appreciated. In my opinion, the location of the hotel was also very good: strategically located in a new developing area between the YuLongHe scenic area and Yangshuo downtown (not too far from either of the two). The Chinese breakfast was also very nice 🤗 the staff asked us if it suited our taste, and they told us that they could have provided us some more “western-style alternatives” if needed (but no need for us, as we are not picky and enjoy eating local food 😋). Overall, we 100% recommend this hotel! We had a wonderful experience, and should we ever come back to Yangshuo, we would definitely come here again!!🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟"
