Our stay at Xitang Riverview Hotel in Yangshuo was truly unforgettable. The view from our balcony room was nothing short of spectacular — two large windows and a small outdoor table offered a perfect vantage point over the river and the iconic karst mountains. The peaceful scenery changed throughout the day, and waking up to horses bathing in the river, cormorants drying their wings in the sun, hot air balloons floating over the peaks, and bamboo rafts gliding by was magical. The room also featured a lovely little tea corner, adding a cozy and authentic touch to the stay. One of the highlights was the complimentary afternoon tea served daily on the rooftop, complete with fresh fruit and sweet treats — a relaxing ritual with a breathtaking view. After exploring the area, taking a dip in the panoramic pool was the perfect way to unwind. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide selection and fresh options. Overall, the Xitang Riverview Hotel offers a serene and scenic experience that made our time in Yangshuo truly special.

Room was very clean, and toilet and shower were separate. Smoking was apparently permitted in rooms despite my request for a non-smoking room, but there was no smoke smell in the room and it was well ventilated with the attached balcony which faced the river and had pretty views. I had issues with the electricity tripping, but the front desk resolved this very quickly by giving me a card specifically for the power outlet in my room. The hotel had washers and dryers for clothes free to use for all guests and even an area with hangers and poles to air dry your laundry, but the time I was there, there were many insects at night (the hotel did put a warning sign at the door). The laundry also apparently closes at 11pm but I did not notice this until I was done with my laundry at 1am. The caretaker who did the evening rounds also did not chase me away and let me use the area until I completed my laundry. The hotel was located near the Longtoushan pier where the Li River Cruises end and disembark. It’s supposedly a 3-5-min walk from the pier to the hotel, but the area tends to be very crowded as all the cruises tend to arrive together (~1.30-2pm). The stretch of pavement from the pier to the street is also very bumpy and not luggage-friendly, but you may contact the hotel to fetch you with a buggy but they tend to be too busy to accommodate at that time too. Apart from this timing, the street is generally very quiet. If walking at night, i would recommend bringing a torch light as the street is very dark. It’s also a 10-15min walk away from Xijie (west street) where there are many food options and souvenirs. The hotel has an attached cafe and restaurant too if you just want to chill in the afternoon. It’s a little pricey for this area but overall a good and comfortable stay! The rooftop also has very pretty views of the mountains and the river, and a great place for some quiet time in the morning!

Love this hotel. Everything you need are provided. Very thoughtful. You can buy local tours from them. The prices are much cheaper than Trip.com and Klook. The hotel also arrange transportation to Guilin, High speed train station at a very reasonable price.The services rendered at the travel and tour counters are exemplarary. The receptionist are very helpful. They will try their best to assist you. Everything is perfect. The only one small complain that I have is the housekeeping didn't clean/wipe the mirrors. You can see some kind of mucus stains on the mirror left by previous guest (looks like someone has cough on it). It was left on the mirror for the 4 nights we stayed. Overall it was a good stay and we enjoyed our stay.

The rooms were clean and very comfortable, with astronaut-themed décor and a incredible view rooftop. Easy to rent ev bike to go around and explore the surrounding areas (Li River, West Street, Ten Miles Gallery, Guilin Romance Park). Plenty eatery place especially Yangshuo Beer Fish, a signature dish of Yangshuo County, Guilin and Guilin Rice Noodles.

Location is great and the room was spacious. Even though the west market was just downstairs and the room was still quiet. The breakfast was just normal. The hotel staff at the reception can speak English so it certainly help for English speaking visitors Cons : The breakfast area needs to be cooler - seems air cond was not turned on

Superb stay! Love the huge, spacious and comfortable suite! The room seems newly renovated. The staff is very thoughful (helped us turn on the aircon in the suite before our arrival to beat the summer heat) and helpful (helped us source for a friendly private chauffeur to take us to some remote places in Yangshuo for the best views). There is also a super huge TV and a washer-dryer in the room, perfect for just chilling in the room. A small quibble is that there should have been another TV in the other bedroom. Couldn't ask for better otherwise! A small disappointment is that the pool was closed until July, otherwise would have been very fun to spend an entire day just in the hotel! Highly recommend!

I went to Yangshuo with my mother during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday. There weren't many people during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday in 25 years. I checked out of another ”photo-cheating” internet celebrity homestay and moved to this one. This hotel has always been on my list of alternative hotels. It is an unexpected treasure hotel. First of all, as a hotel, the linens should be clean, comfortable and dry, which is the most basic (many homestays in Yangshuo still don't do this), and they are well done. I stayed for two days in a row and it was very comfortable. In addition, the interior decoration of this hotel is a compromise aesthetic, Wabi-shizuka style, and the materials used can be seen to have been thought and priced, all of which are solid wood. The full-length mirror in the guest room can obviously be just a mirror, but it is inlaid with a solid wood frame, which is very good! It is recommended to change the toothbrush to a normal one. The original one looks good, but it is really not easy to use. In general, it is good to live, good-looking, and conveniently located (on the roadside, close to various attractions).

I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had during my travels. Before the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and supportive. Their service was outstanding—probably the best I've encountered anywhere! As non-Mandarin speakers, we initially worried about communication, but the hotel staff recommended using WeChat for messaging, which had an automatic translation function. This made everything so much easier, and we were able to connect seamlessly. The staff also went above and beyond to help us book various itineraries, providing discounts that made our stay even more enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised by the range of amenities offered. Their service was impressively quick; we received responses to our queries in less than 30 minutes! The hotel also offered breathtaking views of nature, visible right from our window. It was a beautiful backdrop that added to our overall experience. Additionally, since our group only eats halal food, we were grateful for the staff's guidance on halal-friendly options. They ensured that we were only served meals that met our dietary requirements. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere. We stayed 2 nights here and stay was very comfortable without any issues. Some staff at reception can speak english , even if others cant speak well they would try their best to help by translation. Sightseeing activities etc can be booked easily through reception staff. We dont see any negatives and worth the price ( though our visit is Jan 1st weak which is low tourist season) Best part - you can easily/quickly hire a bike from here as well!

I come here for short trips vacation, the hotel overall is clean, service is great, room is big. Laundry's a bit small only have one dryer and one washer. Breakfast is good. Costume is free to try. Welcome drink is longan hot tea, perfectly good on refreshing.
