"🏔️😱 Don’t know how it was possible, but this hotel was even more beautiful in real life than the photos. Built inside a renovated historic sugar factory, Yangshuo Sugar House combines the refined aesthetics of the mountain landscape with historical architectural elegance. ✨ 🚙🌾 The hotel offers various free and at-cost activities you can book through their concierge. We wanted to go see the Longji Rice Steps during our stay, which is about an 2.5 hour drive away from Yangshuo by car. I messaged the hotel the day before we arrived and they were able to arrange a private driver to take us there and back over an 8 hour trip. Mr. Qin was amazing and very kind! He took us directly to buy the tickets and then drove us to the entrance point of the cable car. There was pretty extreme rain on the way back and he got us down the mountain very efficiently. It was an extremely memorable day which was only made possible by the hotel’s extraordinary attentive drivers and diligent concierge staff. ⭐️ 🍴The room comes with a daily buffet breakfast, free soft drinks, and fruit. The hotel restaurant is good, but breakfast is really where the food shines. So many delicious options to choose from, and there was adorable panda shaped buns 🐼 📸 The hotel also offers free travel photography on the premises, which takes about 30~ minutes and you receive 5 free photos, with additional available to purchase at 50 yuan. It was fun and very efficient! 🌸 Overall, a major highlight of our China trip & we wish we had stayed longer. Thank you again!"

"I originally booked a mountain-view king room, but upon arrival at the front desk, I was captivated by the real-life river views of the villa room type. I immediately decided to upgrade, and it proved to be a wise choice! Opening the doors and windows revealed the picturesque scenery of the Yulong River, with the mountains and waters stretching as far as the eye could see. Coupled with the meticulous and attentive service at Banyan Tree Yangshuo, the entire experience was flawless, making for an exceptionally comfortable and pleasant stay."

"Hidden deep within the Ten-Mile Gallery, this hotel completely isolates itself from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. The sense of escapism, in my opinion, is almost comparable to the Lux* Chongzuo, making for a truly satisfying vacation. As a well-established luxury brand originating from Indonesia, it's impressive how it has rooted itself amidst the natural beauty of Yangshuo while still deeply preserving its Indonesian heritage. For instance, the breakfast features an Indonesian-style set menu, all freshly prepared à la carte. The guest room walls are adorned with traditional Balinese Ubud Batik wax paintings. During turndown service at night, candles are lit to warm aromatic essential oils, replicating the local Balinese pre-sleep ritual. The pool is paved with unique Indonesian stone, appearing grey when dry but revealing a beautiful blue-green hue when submerged in water. The hotel's service and quality are exceptional: the butler's WhatsApp replies were prompt, and despite the high greenery coverage, I wasn't bitten by a single mosquito during my two-day stay, indicating excellent pest control. The 450 sqm single-bedroom standalone villa is spacious, and the private pool is ample in both size and depth. Amenities include Cha Ling toiletries, a brand under LV, and the rooms are equipped with Bose speakers and Laifen hair dryers, ensuring top-notch hardware. It's rare for a hotel to maintain its original quality and standards after many years of operation, unlike many domestic hotels that gradually cut costs and downgrade after just a year or two. If you're looking for an immersive escape into nature in Yangshuo, I truly believe this place is worth a special trip. At the very least, if I get another chance to visit Yangshuo, this will still be my go-to resort for a second stay."

"We had an amazing stay at LS Hotel Guilin. The location is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the views are absolutely stunning. The service was exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to Reina and Li Ly, who went above and beyond to help us with everything we needed. They were always friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!"

"We stopped by a few hotels in the area before settling on this one; all were nice, this one was the clear winner. The views were fantastic from the both the room and the pool area, the pool deck was nicely shaded by the hotel, it was remarkably quiet outside despite being somewhat close to a road (gotta love EVs), the staff was friendly and Ritz-level responsive on WeChat, impeccable water pressure in the shower, excellent breakfast buffet, easy walkability to restaurants if you don't want to eat in, and e-scooters available to rent onsite (with more options nearby). Don't hesitate to spend a little extra for a massage in your room! Great way to end the day before heading to sleep."

"I highly recommend the Yangshuo Lijing Resort. The rooms offer stunning mountain views right from the window, and the hotel's well-equipped and spacious kids' play area kept our children entertained. It's perfect for a family trip! Plus, the 'Sky Mirror' afternoon tea is an absolute must for some amazing photos. The service is thoughtful and attentive, making our entire stay comfortable and enjoyable."

"The hygiene was excellent; even the tiles in the hallway were spotless, and the public areas were very clean, with staff cleaning early in the morning. The overall environment was quite good, nestled against the mountains, offering a serene atmosphere. However, the appearance of the residential houses outside the hotel somewhat lowered the overall standard. What I most want to complain about is the service. When we checked in, we were told the highest floor wasn't ready yet, so we went out. No one informed us when the room was ready, so we ended up staying on a lower floor when we returned. A butler contacted us in advance to inquire about our itinerary, offer suggestions, and claim they had discounted tickets for performances. However, after checking prices through other channels, we found theirs to be more expensive and politely declined. The butler then became passive-aggressive, which was very uncomfortable. The next morning, the rice noodle stall at breakfast was utterly chaotic; whoever showed up got the noodles. The breakfast greetings also felt abrupt and robotic; it would be better to just cancel them. Regarding the cormorant show in the morning, animal performances are already a sensitive topic, and the staff treated the animals very roughly, grabbing them by the neck and throwing them. With so many children watching, whose concepts and behaviors are still developing, this could easily lead them to imitate such actions and be misguided. The large lawn had various facilities and activities, including individual rooms with TVs to watch the World Cup, which was a highlight. The main downside is the remote location and poor transportation facilities, making it inconvenient to go anywhere for dining or sightseeing."

Outside my window, I could see the stunning, rolling karst mountains. Waking up to birdsong in the morning, I opened the window to see mist swirling around the peaks, making it feel as if I were living inside a traditional Chinese ink wash painting. And for those planning to visit the 'Eternal Love' show, this place is incredibly convenient! You can see the 'Eternal Love' scenic area from the hotel balcony and it's within walking distance. **Design | A contemporary interpretation of oriental aesthetics** From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the hotel's design language. It uses a simple yet elegant combination of natural wood and stone, with ample use of open space and light. This creates an atmosphere that embodies the charm of Northern Guangxi residences while also exuding a modern, minimalist sophistication. I particularly loved the garden landscaping in the central courtyard; every stone and plant showed meticulous care. Even the lighting in the corridors was thoughtfully designed, making every step a visual delight. The designer clearly understands the philosophy of 'less is more,' allowing the architecture to humbly complement nature. It seems the design-focused hotels on Trip.com's list are indeed very reliable. **Check-in Perks | A warm, welcoming embrace** Upon check-in, I experienced hospitality that exceeded my expectations. The special welcome tea offered by the front desk was at the perfect temperature and had a delicate fragrance, instantly washing away the fatigue of travel. A handwritten welcome card and fresh seasonal fruits were already waiting in the room, showing thoughtful attention to detail. **Toiletries | High-end touches in the details** I must mention the hotel's choice of bath and body products – their taste is truly on point. They use a niche and high-end brand, and the scent of the botanical essential oils is incredibly soothing, as if bringing the essence of Yangshuo's mountains and wilderness into the bathroom. These everyday details best reflect a hotel's aesthetic and sincerity, and TUI BLUE truly surprised me in this aspect. (Spoiler alert: the brand is Zu's Beloved series – my wife has already ordered it online!) **Overall Impression** My time at TUI BLUE Yangshuo was a complete relaxation for both body and mind. It offers not only beautiful scenery but also warmth; not just design, but also substance. Every staff member was friendly and natural, and the service was just right, making it feel less like staying in a hotel and more like returning to a home nestled among the mountains and rivers. Alongside delicious Chinese cuisine, it also serves excellent European food. After weeks of traveling, our kids were craving familiar meals, and the truffle pizza, truffle pasta, and Margherita pizza were absolutely incredible. 😍 Breakfast was equally impressive, with a fantastic selection of hot dishes, fresh fruit, pastries, desserts, and drinks—all with spectacular mountain views. 👨👩👧👦 Perfect for Families A large kids’ playroom, a beautiful swimming pool with a children’s area, and plenty of space for families. Our kids absolutely loved it. 🏋️ Extra Amenities The hotel also has a laundry room and a small gym, which are especially convenient for longer stays. ☕ Don’t Miss the Second Hotel The hotel has a second property just 300 meters away, connected by a complimentary shuttle. We highly recommend visiting it for a coffee on the terrace overlooking the river and mountains. 📸 Please note: All of the river-view photos in this review were taken at the hotel’s second property. ❤️ Everything about this place—the scenery, the atmosphere, the activities, and most importantly, the incredible people—made our stay unforgettable. "Our overall experience was fantastic, perfect for families with kids. The guesthouse is nestled in a serene valley, and our room featured 270-degree panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. Drawing back the curtains revealed a stunning vista of rolling karst mountains, often shrouded in a picturesque mist. The rooftop boasts a reflective pool, offering a beautiful photo opportunity with the mountain and sky reflected like a painting. We even received a complimentary travel photography session during our stay. The property also has an outdoor swimming pool and an incredibly spacious 300-square-meter indoor kids' play area with a wide variety of activities, ensuring children can have fun even on rainy days. The adjacent wilderness guesthouse is just a short walk away, offering several scenic viewpoints along the path. The environment is quiet and tranquil, far from the bustling city crowds. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, making this an excellent choice for a family getaway."
