"Booked the Classic Triple Room, room was very spacious and comfortable. Hotel also allowed us to store our luggage with them overnight, even after checkout, as we wanted to go up Alishan with lighter luggage. Breakfast buffet had a good variety of food. There was also a 火鸡肉饭店 nearby that was very yummy. Would stay here again if I were to visit Chiayi again."

"It's a great bang for the buck place. It is very close to all the touristy places in Chiayi. Free parking in an open space parking lot about 300 meters away on the same street as the hotel. So be aware that you must walk with your luggage back to the hotel after parking. Unless you have another person wait at the hotel first with your luggage.
The staff at check-in told me if I gave a positive Google review they'd give me an upgrade to my room and I did give them a positive Google review before even seeing what the room looked like. But I was very pleased with the room upon seeing it. The whole place was clean and spacious and the window in my room was big. Free breakfast with my booking as well. I like this place for the price and I will book again if have the chance.
Breakfast was great. Buffet style with lots of options but don't expect it to be a feast as it's a breakfast."

"YOYO is a very convenient hotel just in front of Chiayi Train station. At the 11th floor, the place is accessible and acceptable for the price. In addition you got breakfast included ( from 6.30 to 9.30 am). You got toast, jams rice congee, ********* braised pork rice Bowl, boiled eggs, vegetables, juice, soja/ almond and cow milk, coffee etc … so a lovely place to start a nice day !
If you want to go to Alishan, it’s very easy and took like 1-2min by walk to take the BUS
Cause the bus station is just in front of the hotel !"

However, the air-conditioner couldn’t be switched off and was a bit noisy, which might be inconvenient for light sleepers. The breakfast buffet was good but very busy, primarily catering to local guests, which can feel a bit overwhelming during peak times. Overall, a pleasant stay with a few minor drawbacks"

"This is a comfortable and classic ********* style hotel! It’s super clean and the service is awesome! They have a mini bar downstairs with some cookies and sodas. The food is just okay but it has variety of them. We can make our own traditional local dish, and it is fun to cook our own noodles!
It’s sad that the season we arrived was too cold so the pool and the ceiling bar was closed :( But to us it’s still a perfect accommodations experience. It also close to several nice food! Definitely recommend:)"

"Nice and clean accomodation. Staff amazing, housekeepers amazing. The only dirty bits I can find in my room is the mould on top of the shower (small amount). Location is wise… near to the station, night market and Smart Fish, a bit of a distance to local attractions (Hinoki Village). Facilities, lots of common areas. I will stay here again."

GGuest UserI chose your hotel because Baishatunma was going on a pilgrimage. When I walked in and checked in, the aroma that hit my nose was very fragrant and relaxing, making me feel like I was on vacation abroad. Every staff member spoke very gently and reminded me of the precautions. The bed in the room was very comfortable, and the overall feeling was really great. I will definitely stay here again~ There is also a sky bar on the top floor, which is really great, and the bartender is a beautiful lady 👍👍

AAnonymous UserThe front desk staff were friendly and nice. However, when we arrived around 1pm, we had to wait until 3pm to check in, as early check-in wasn’t allowed, which was a bit disappointing. The washroom had an unpleasant smell, likely due to the drainage system, but they thoughtfully provided an air freshener. The triple room’s bathroom was a bit small, probably due to the design, and lacked space to hang clothes. The location is very convenient, about a 10–15 minute walk to Chiayi Train Station. One of the best parts of the stay was the luggage storage service — since we were heading to Alishan the next day, we could leave our large suitcases at the hotel overnight and pick them up when we returned. Also, the nearby restaurant serving Chiayi meat soup is great — definitely worth a try!

RREASONPEIJust two weeks later, when I arrived in Chiayi, I chose to stay at Guanko Hotel again. The price was very good compared to the cleanliness of the room and the richness of the breakfast. Although the hotel is some distance away from the Wenhua Road Night Market, if you have your own transportation, Guanko Hotel is still a good accommodation choice.

GGuest UserIf you drive, don't stay at this hotel. Parking is very expensive. The parking lot next to it costs 560 nt$ for one night. This is the most expensive parking fee I have ever paid. The hotel does not provide bottled water, and there is no place to fill water. Buying water costs 80 nt$, which is not cheap. There is nothing else. It is basically consistent with the introduction. The bathroom is small, the room is OK, clean and sanitary.

The accommodation includes breakfast, which is diverse and delicious. The parking lot is sufficient. The counter under the nearby bridge can help you deduct the full amount. The room is also very spacious. I will stay here again next time I travel.

DDelonXDFirst I was supposed to give 2 stars because when we arrive at hotel, they only accept cash in twd dollar as we thought already paid via online. So, it caused us to paid more compared to online as the exchange rate. We dunno why they wanted us paid first via online and then refund to us after the day check out. This will make the process too complicated. This hotel was so traditional even no online payment & maybe doesn't have debit card too?
Honestly, the hotel was really nice looking & clean as the pic shown. The toilet look good but the bathroom door was so so old and rushed cannot close. The bed was strangely & weirdly comfortable but it sounds of spring so so noisy when we moving around the bed. This must be changed because senior or someone not comfortable with hard bed should not booking this hotel!!! The aircon work well but at night it automatically closed down. Maybe save electricity or something as thought we didn't set anything??
This hotel provided buffet at morning (6.30 - 8.30am) such as toast, rice and porridge. It so nice since this hotel was budgeted compared to other which more expensive. However, we dunno why they set the time so earlier in the morning should be until 11 am or 12 pm. Who will wake up in that time?? Maybe people cannot sleep that time or something else. I 100 % sure that the foods will be leftover.
The service was well...ok nothing to comments. The overall still budgeted hotel & the location from train station was so near, the Wen Hua night market was so near about 800 meter.
We still NOT STRATIFICATION with this hotel !!!!

GGuest UserI had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is incredibly convenient, just a short walk from Chiayi Train Station, with 小北百貨 and a 7-11 nearby. The staff were friendly and attentive—they kindly allowed us to store our luggage both before check-in and after check-out, which made our trip much easier. They also went out of their way to prepare extra pillows when we requested them, and had them ready by the time we returned from dinner.
The buffet breakfast offered a variety of western and ********* options. While the food was decent, it was filling enough to start our day. The hotel is also within a 15-minute walk to the night market, making it easy to explore local food and shops.
My family and I stayed here both before and after our trip to Mt. Ali, and we even extended our stay due to a typhoon. We felt well-rested and enjoyed our time. When double beds weren’t available, the staff combined two single beds, creating a spacious and comfortable sleeping arrangement. We truly appreciated this thoughtful touch. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for its convenience, warm service, and comfortable accommodations!
