It took 45 minutes to get here by taxi from the South Gate of Huangshan. The lady at the check-in desk was very nice and upgraded us to a family room to relieve our fatigue after coming down from Huangshan. She also brought us warm red bean sweet soup. The first impression was perfect💯.
The public lounge area in the atrium is quite Japanese and green. The sun shines through the green bamboo and falls on the tatami. It is very comfortable to have tea, chat and relax here. The breakfast environment is great. There is a terrace outside the three-sided floor-to-ceiling glass. There are many semi-self-service open stalls. The current dried bamboo shoots and shredded pork noodles and seaweed wontons taste good.
The room is spacious and comfortable. The bathroom facilities are all Kohler, and the towels and toiletries are also well equipped.
There will be a battery car to take you to the West Gate parking lot when you go to Hongcun. It is very close to walk in~ In short, it lives up to the reputation of a boutique and characteristic homestay. It is recommended that you can choose here when you come to Hongcun

Very good, Jiangnan ancient village, sitting by the lake, so comfortable. I feel very refreshed when I get up in the morning. The room decoration design is great. The boss is very enthusiastic. The location is in the center of the scenic area. It is quiet in the hustle and bustle. The environment is particularly good and the scenery is charming. The yard is in Hui style. It is a Jiangnan courtyard where you can rest and drink tea. After walking around Hongcun, you can go outside the village to see rape flowers when you have nothing to do. It is also very convenient. The path next to the homestay can go out directly, and there are large areas of golden rape flowers outside. It is super convenient. I will definitely bring my friends here next time.

The scenic spot is not big and easy to find. There is a very beautiful small courtyard, which is very quiet at night. The room is just like the photo, the furniture is made of solid wood, the hot water is very good, and there is a bay window where you can sit and watch the rain in the courtyard. Breakfast was at a restaurant with a high rating next door, and there was a cute cat. Prices are very cheap in the village. The bad thing is that the smell of grilled sausages from the opposite side comes to the yard.

The stay at Hongcun Zuoxian Art Hotel was remarkable. Received a call from the host (小李管家) while on the way to confirm my arrival time and needs. She even helped me arrange a driver to pick us up from the Huangshan North train station at a reasonable cost. Driver (李师傅) was friendly and gave us lots of tips while visiting Huangshan and we ended up using his services throughout the 3 days we were there.
When we arrived, 小李管家 was right at the hotel entrance waiting for my for us and checkin into our rooms was a breeze. Rooms were clean with all the amenities you will need for a comfortable stay. Most impressive was the hotel layout and design which was very artsy and minimalist for a place like Hongcun. It was simply amazing! Me and my family especially loved the lobby and the coziness especially in front of the fireplace during winter.
Hotel Location was within walking distance (200m) to Hongcun Ancient village and around 40mins drive to Huangshan mountain and around 1.5hrs drive to the Huangshan North Station or Tunxi Ancient Street.
Will definitely recommend this hotel to all our friends and relatives if they are planning to visit Huangshan one day!!!

I also stayed in Poxin at the foot of Sanqing Mountain a long time ago. Booking the Ming Jing Garden in Xidi this time was beyond my original knowledge. It should be that the hardware facilities and other aspects have been upgraded, especially the mattress is very good! The first time I lived in a house with 200 years of history! Parts of it looks like a museum, but the rooms are modernized in a nice way! Seriously, it looks like a fancy tea place or a private mansion, never expected a hotel like this! The owner lady was very nice, showed the way to the place (navigation in the village is a bit difficult for a newcomer) and helped to change the room to a single bed when heard that my friend was not coming. Very friendly approach! I would recommend this place to anyone, who would like to get an authentic experience of Hongcun village!

It is highly recommended to stay at this hotel. Staying in the scenic spot is the best way to travel. The location of the B&B is very good. It is only a few dozen meters away from the main gate of the scenic spot! No need to drag your suitcase along the bluestone road! The proprietress will call me in advance on how to get to the hotel and inform me of the location of the B&B. She will also remind me that purchasing tickets on the mobile phone is cheaper than on site. Entering the scenic spot is very smooth and convenient. The room is fully equipped and the items are neatly placed. There are public areas on each floor of the B&B, where you can take photos and take photos. The light tea scent makes the environment great! Watching the light show is just downstairs at the Hu Wenguang Archway by the Mingjing Lake. The terrace on the top floor overlooks the entire Xidi Village. The view is unparalleled. I have already recommended it to my friends and will come again next time!

XXuelangyiAs an authentic Huizhou native who left home when I was young, I came to Hongcun and met Zhang Gongguan for the first time, but I was amazed by the whole ink painting Qingming. After walking through the streets and alleys, I finally found the low-key house number. I opened a small door and opened a paradise. The antique Ming and Qing Dynasty old houses, restored in the Hui-style style, and simple and elegant furniture make people feel like they have traveled through time and space and returned to the prosperous ancient Huizhou of the past. In the front hall and back yard, the centuries-old mottled walls are paired with the black and white colors of Qingming rain, but it also has a sense of vicissitudes like ”in the old days, when kings went to the hall and swallows flew into the homes of ordinary people”, it was as if they were in a Chinese ink painting. This is an old house with a history of 300 years. It is located in the core scenic area of Hongcun. It only takes 3 minutes to walk to Moon Marsh. There are many types of guest rooms with different styles. Almost all of them feature Chinese retro style. The carved wooden beds, wooden couches and dressing tables are all antique designs. The calligraphy, paintings and porcelain in the room highlight the famous Hui school. The door is an antique wooden door latch. key. The facilities in the bathroom are absolutely high-end. Dyson hair dryers and Hermès bath products are both rich in history and considerate. The owner lives with his guests and has four cats, several courtyards, and a beautiful swimming pool. The guests can drink tea and relax while leaning on the garden view. The butler's service was extremely attentive. He asked about the soundproofing at night, prepared a heart-warming breakfast in the morning, took our luggage all the way from the parking lot to the CI, dragged our luggage up the narrow stairs of the old house, and used a small electric donkey to carry our luggage again before we left. Return to the parking lot. I want to say here that the wooden stairs in the old Hui-style houses are narrow and shaky, and the sound insulation between the rooms is not very good. If you come to immerse yourself in the old house life, don’t complain and pay more attention to yourself. In short, this place really made my impression of Hongcun become more beautiful and full of nostalgia. It is undoubtedly the best private hotel in the village, and it feels like a dream that I will never wake up from.

GGuest UserFirst of all, we have to praise the owner of Minsu Hotel. He was very responsive to our requests. He helped us with our luggage, arranged carpooling, and asked us if we needed to change our supplies (because we stayed there for two consecutive days). Secondly, the decoration style of Minsu Hotel is also great. You can see the staggered eaves through the floor-to-ceiling windows. The mattress is very comfortable to sleep on, and the quality of the toiletries is also very good. If there is any shortcoming, it is that the induction mirror is too sensitive. Location: This guesthouse is a 5 minute drive from the main Hongcun Village entrance and the owners kindly drove us there! Although this hotel isn’t inside the village itself, it’s still convenient and in a quiet location!
It’s a 1 hour drive from the Huangshan North Railway station and 1 hour drive to the Huangshan Tangkou Transfer Center.
Food: There’s a restaurant on-site which has an extensive dinner menu. Honestly, you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner without leaving the premises! Very convenient and the food is good quality- highly recommend.
Amenities: The guesthouse is newly renovated and has top notch furnishings. Everything is clean and comfortable. The floor heating was nice to have in December!

GGuest UserHongcun Yushan mountain scenery house is convenienly located near the South Gate of Hongcun Scenic area. We booked courtyard B which is located outside and behind the main hotel complex with breakfast included. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable, and had a small courtyard, but unfortunately no garden chairs or table to sit outside. In hindsight we woud book another room in the main complex next time. It has a lovely open garden and plenty of outdoor seating. I contacted the hotel before our stay and managed by using a voice translator to connect with the staff on Wechat. A friendly staff member met us at the entrance to the scenic area and entry is free of charge when you stay at the hotel. The hotel staff don't speak any English, but they were very helpful and friendly and we got along fine using Wechat and other translators. I won't recommend eating dinner at the hotel as there are many local Chinese restaurants in the ancient village. The hotel offers a coffee shop in the lobby and has a number of options, like Americano, Latte etc. The coffee is very good, but I felt it was a bit pricey for the cup size. The hotel breakfast is Chinese with no Western options, and it is served in unique way in a tray. I enjoyed the breakfast, but my husband would have liked more western options. On our arrival the room was already pre-heated and the beds in the room were comfortable. It was snowing lightly when we arrived and there were umbrellas available in the room. They also provide vanity items. We visited just before the Chinese New Year tourist rush at the beginning of the holiday and this was a very good location and time to visit despite the cold weather. The ancient village was not too crowded and it was nice to walk around in the evenings and daytime with the hotel is situated conveniently right next to the South lake. Drone flying is allowed which can give drone flyers an aerial view of the village. Depending on your iterinary a one night stay is sufficient to visit Hongcun and the nearby Xidi ancient village then move on to another hotel at the foot or top of the mountain or Tunxi village. We enjoyed our stay and can recommend this hotel to travelers wanting a good hotel experience in Hongcun.

GGuest UserMy family and I (5 of us) recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming homestay in Hongcun for two days and one night, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building, steeped in history at 400 years old, is located relatively close to the West entrance, making access a breeze. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and well-kept. Although I initially booked three specific rooms, they were unavailable due to renovation. However, I was provided with three other rooms that turned out to be more spacious, which was a delightful surprise.
The lobby felt incredibly welcoming, with a cozy living-room-style atmosphere. There’s a lovely café to the left and a souvenir shop to the right, adding a nice touch of convenience and charm as you walk toward the living area. Wan Jie (elder sister Wan), the host, was truly hospitable and attentive. Her warmth shone through from our first phone call, which she answered cheerfully while helping arrange our pickup, as cars aren’t allowed into Hongcun, a UNESCO Heritage Site.
One of the highlights of this homestay was the restaurant nestled in a ”secret” garden—a serene and picturesque spot where my family and I could have happily spent more time. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, adding to the overall experience. Though it was too cool to use during my visit, the homestay also features a pool that would be perfect for summer days.
At the end of our stay, Wan Jie went above and beyond by accompanying us to the village exit to wait for our driver, ensuring everything went smoothly before saying her goodbyes. It’s rare to experience such personalized hospitality, and it made a memorable impression on us.
Based on my positive experience, I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Hongcun. It’s a unique blend of history, comfort, and genuine hospitality that truly enhances the visit.

JJiutiaomaoBanyan Tree was the most surprising part of our short trip to Huangshan. I also read some thunderbolts and negative reviews before coming here. After staying here, I feel that Banyan Tree is still the hotel with the best comprehensive conditions in Huangshan.
Let me first talk about the service that I value most. It is very good overall, and the front desk deducts half a point. I added the housekeeper WeChat before checking in. The housekeeper was very considerate and helped us with all the reservations. Because it was my parents' wedding anniversary, he also helped us upgrade the room. The room cleaning staff was cheerful and careful. They would replace the room aromatherapy essential oils according to the guests' preferences to meet all our needs~ I specifically praise Miss Zhang Meiling🥰 The aromatherapy that the little sister put was really great. Before leaving, we specially bought some to take home.
Let's talk about the hotel hardware and environment. Although the hotel is not short, the rooms are generally good, without a sense of oldness. The interior is a typical Chinese solid wood style, and the exterior is Hui style white walls and gray tiles. Our room was upgraded from a double bedroom in Hongcun to a double bedroom in Lucun. The room has two floors. The door leads to the living room on the second floor. Outside the terrace is the rapeseed flowers in Lucun. You will be amazed as soon as you enter the house. The first floor has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is spacious and quiet and very suitable for vacation.
Finally, let me talk about the hotel's catering. The first meal in Huangshan was dinner at Baiyun Restaurant. My family was very satisfied. The stinky mandarin fish was firm, and the celery and bamboo shoots were tender. The hotel gave a mousse cake, which tasted great. In comparison, the breakfast was indeed a bit lacking. There were not many varieties, and the taste was just okay.

Cleanliness: Our family booked a total of 7 rooms. When I stayed here, I felt that the bedding and all places were very clean! I have stayed in very good four- and five-star hotels and many B&Bs. It is no exaggeration to say that this B&B is the cleanest one I have ever stayed in! As soon as you fall asleep, you can tell how clean the bedding is. Later I learned that the owner of the B&B would go to the laundry room every time to urge the laundry people to be more demanding.
Service: Because the road in Hongcun is so narrow that large vehicles cannot enter, there is no way to pick up people. However, the boss pulled a tricycle to help us pick up and drop off our luggage when we went there and when we left. This is still very good. However, there were some minor frictions during the communication, but the boss later apologized. Overall, the service is pretty good. However, during the peak tourist season, there are only two people there, and sometimes the boss cannot be found and we have to wait. This is a slight drawback.

GGuest UserIt's really comfortable to live in Qingmei Academy Shilili. The environment is quiet, the Hui-style architecture is very distinctive, and the mountain view is visible from the window, which is particularly atmospheric. The room is very warmly decorated, the bed is very comfortable, and it's so relaxing to take a hot spring bath! The service is also very considerate, the front desk and the staff are very enthusiastic, especially the photographer sister is beautiful and skilled, and will help solve any problems in time.
