Overall, the hotel is very good, especially the location is very convenient, close to the spice market, the beach, the bus station, and there are many food nearby. Our room is on the second floor, and we can see a good view of the street market, but the glass is very soundproof and not noisy at all. The area that needs improvement is that the room was not cleaned one day. We asked for cleaning at 7 pm, but the waiter opened the door without knocking and came in (another time we were in the room and asked for a pair of slippers, and then I took the child to take a bath, and my husband took a light nap on the bed. Later, I found that the slippers were already on the table in the room at some point. The waiter didn't seem to knock on the door, so we must lock the door). We asked him to come back after 7 o'clock, but he went out and came back after 9 o'clock and it was not cleaned yet.

One of the staff members was unfriendly and unhelpful. On our first day, we had to wait about 10 minutes at the check-in desk, even though three employees were present. The person who eventually assisted us didn’t even greet us—I said hello, and he simply asked for our passports. Later, this same staff member refused to call a taxi for us. Fortunately, another staff member was kind enough to help and called a taxi.
If you’re traveling with elderly people who can’t walk far and need a taxi directly in front of the hotel, I’d recommend avoiding this place. The streets are very narrow and often crowded, so taxis are reluctant to come. It’s especially frustrating when the hotel staff doesn’t assist with calling one.

Before I left, I saw someone comment that the room had bed bugs, and I was thinking about changing hotels temporarily, but I didn't do so in the end - it turned out to be correct, because I didn't encounter any unpleasant insects in the room. In addition, Ctrip's booking tips said ”the hotel has no front desk service” and ”need to contact in advance to check in”. Ctrip and I tried to contact the hotel many times in succession to no avail, but fortunately, the hotel actually has a front desk service, and it doesn't seem to need to contact in advance (after all, we couldn't contact it all the time).
The hotel is next to the Hagia Sophia, and the room faces the Bosphorus, where seagulls fly, which is very pleasant.
When checking in, a handsome waiter helped with the luggage at the hotel, and I was very grateful to him (when he was carrying the luggage, I was still worried that I didn't have cash to pay the tip, but fortunately he didn't ask for a tip in the end, but he was very friendly and explained the precautions).
Because the hotel needed to clean the room, I didn't get the opportunity to check in early, but I could store my luggage and sit down and rest in the terrace restaurant.
Overall, it was very good, but the only drawback was that the curtains in the room were a little light-transmitting, and it was a little difficult to pull the curtains. In addition, when locking/unlocking the patio door, you need to lift the door handle upwards and turn the key at the same time.

Very small hotel . Breakfast very simple . Not much variety . Location is very good. Walking distance to most places.
Beware of the front day duty desk person who tried to scam us to take the hotel airport transport at 60 euros v Yellow taxi only cost 450 Turkish lires ( fixed price )
The hotel guy tried to give us the impression not safe to take yellow taxi to airport.

I love this place…it’s super clean, the staff is great and they serve a nice breakfast in the morning. It’s also surrounded by great restaurants. I do want to mention that no one is allowed in your room in this area and I wish I would’ve known that as I have friends in Istanbul and had to pay extra fees in order for them to visit me. Outside of that it was great.

Stylish hotel and room, very interesting design of the room, you want to look at the details. But the room in fact has no window, as it faces the wall, and is tinted, there is no daylight. An interesting solution for a shower/toilet in a standard room is a glass cube, not transparent, but the audibility is maximum)). Automatic lighting is thoughtfully thought out so as not to bump into it when you get up at night. We did not take breakfast. There is an elevator. Water, tea, kettle in the room, convenient. Quiet place Near Istiklal.

The hotel was very nice. The breakfast is very good. The location is great. Walking distance to everything! Starbucks just there too.
Everyone is kind and polite.
Our room was lovely but toooooo small. Felt like I m on a cruise ship with that size 😅. They upgraded us to Bosporus view. Thank you we r grateful.
I would have stayed longer if the room was bigger. We did asked to get bigger room but the price to upgrade was too much. So we moved to another hotel with bigger room.
Free access to the spa. Steam bath, sauna, and the hammam but Idon’t know how to use it. There was no soap or scrub to use. Maybe people go there with their own shower stuff?
Picture of our view 😊

Outstanding
GGuest UserThis is a very nice hotel located in the middle of the Sultanahmet area. It is close to many of the sites within walking distance including the Grand Bazaar, Spice Bazaar, Cistern Basilica, The Blue Mosque, Hague Sophia, tram station, many historical hammams and wonderful restaurants! The front desk staff was very professional, accommodating, and informative. They greet you every morning & evening and always have a smile on their face!
If you include breakfast with your stay, it's on the top floor, and there's a beautiful view. The spread of food is hot and cold, and I ate very well every morning! They served different hot foods everyday which was nice... from fluffy eggs to potatoes, Turkish sausage, chicken sausage, etc. There's also a nice variety of cereals, yogurt with honey, assorted mezze dips, olives, pickled vegetables, fruit, pastries along with juice, coffee and tea. The restaurant staff was also very professional and friendly, and they were quick to clear plates and replenish dishes.
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again!
------------------------
One thing to note... I was traveling by myself and arrived by an airport transfer that I arranged. However, I would suggest that you book it through the hotel at $45€ cash, and here's why... The hotel is located on a popular street in which the tram runs along. No cars or taxis are allowed on the street, so it can be difficult. The driver who is unfamiliar with the hotel will drop you at the corner of the main street, which can be approximately two blocks. Depending on how much stuff you have, you will need to carry or roll your luggage across uneven cobblestones and/or very narrow sidewalks. I have a slightly immobile knee, and had a hard time rolling my luggage while looking behind me to see if a tram was coming, and there were lots of tourists walking on the sidewalks which didn't make it any easier. If you hire the hotel airport transfers, they will know where to drop you off and have the hotel staff ready to escort you and your luggage to the hotel. On my departure to the airport, the hotel arranged my airport transfer, and it was so easy. They have a secret spot where they park, and the hotel staff helped me to the van.
JJobi TOverall, the experience was fine. I booked a standard room, which resembles a typical 3-star hotel room, though I believe they offer premium rooms as well. The efficiency of the reception staff varied; some were not up to the mark. For instance, when I asked one receptionist about taking a bus to Istanbul Airport, he responded with, “I have no idea.” It’s surprising that a receptionist wouldn’t know about airport transportation. However, another receptionist this morning was excellent and helped resolve my query effortlessly.(Check out time 13:00, 18.11.2024
GGuest UserPrice for the accommodation was good.
Close to the metro station.
The meeting was friendly.
When we had found in our kitchen no forks we ordered but the waiting time to fix the problem was too long.
Additionally, there were no spoons, no wine opener, no hair dryer
The room climate was a little cold.
In the room you can hear noise coming from the street even though we were living on the 27 floor.
Internet connection was unstable.
A bed in the bedroom was 1,4m but on Trip.com was stated that it’s 1,8m
No TV set in the bedroom
Because of the bed size we wanted to move to another room on the day however all the rooms we checked had smoke smell so we decided to stay at the room.
Swimming pool facilities not good. Need to be renovated.
The view from the hotel room was nice.
CCarrie-AnneThe experienced staff were both Friendly and helpful! As I was Traveling late night early morning, I called the hotel for some assistance with a taxi service. They front desk was happy to talk to the driver and even helped me confirm pricing. As a single woman traveling I am wanting to take precautions for my safety. The room was authentic and had a comfortable warmth! The rooms were clean with comfortable beds. The location is close to the touristy spots with easy access to public transportation! Travelers be prepared, so many things to see and do-be prepared. I enjoyed the exciting hustle and bustle and with help I found my way on the public ferry to check out the other side for a local experience. I truly enjoyed my stay, Thank you Empire Palace
EElifThe cleanliness, the smell of the corridors, the staff, the breakfast... All off them amazing! I found my best hotel in İstanbul for my business trips. You can directly get the metro. Traffic-free :)
GGuest UserPrice performance was very good. Room and linen cleaning was good and there was enough storage space. The staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend it.
GGuest UserThis hotel is very good. It also has airport pick-up service and the sanitation is very good. I originally booked the hotel for two days. After I checked in, I felt it was so good that I extended it for a few more nights.
