Highly recommend this hotel if you stay in Kagoshima for a short time! The location being inside the JR Station is very convenient, and the hotel was clean. Had a lot of free amenities, like some epsom salt bath! The room itself is a typical small room like you see everywhere in Japan. Would definitely recommend if you visit Kagoshima!

There has air conditioner which was cool enough , good! only the drawback is some far away to take 20 minutes to JR station but very near the walking street. Bath room a bit of narrow. Appreciated even though medium size hotel but it has car packing lot itself ( located on the hotel's back street with staff to assist you ), so great indeed !

For self-driving travel, the location of this hotel is very good and it is very convenient to go to any Kagoshima attractions. However, please note that the parking lot is closed from 0:00-07:00 every night, and the hotel will still arrange for room cleaning every day. There is a chapel where weddings can be held. The Shiroyama Hotel in Kagoshima is an old five-star hotel founded in 1963. The current Emperor and Empress of Japan have stayed here. All hotel staff are friendly and well-trained. The facilities inside the hotel are very complete and there are many restaurants, including Japanese restaurants and Western restaurants. I personally recommend the semi-buffet lunch at The Lounge Casablanca on the 4th floor. There are a variety of appetizers and soups to choose from. For the final dessert, the waiter will push a cart to you and ask you what you want. The hotel has its own bakery and dessert shop, and its desserts also have a counter in Kagoshima JR Station. The hotel's large bathhouse has an open-air hot spring. Sitting in the hot spring, you can overlook Sakurajima in the distance. The most important thing is that this hotel is not expensive! If I go to Kagoshima next time, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

This time, I used this hotel for the first time. The front desk is neither good nor bad ... But I thought I should study the treatment a little more. Amenities are not in the room, and the front desk is a type that only needs makeup remover, pigment washing, lotion, emulsion. It is a stay with GOTO children. The appearance is an old and small business hotel, but it was comfortable inside. We stayed at the zashiki. It is very good that the hot water pot is installed in a high place that the child can't reach, and the bathroom is surprisingly large. Also, when I arrived, I gave my child a little toy. After receiving it, if you had another color good, you would have come to the front desk quickly, and you would have a different color. It was very nice and really appreciated. Also, breakfast is delicious. You can choose chicken rice or fish tea pickles or curry, and you come out with mori salad and baked fish. I was very satisfied from the morning. The Astronomical Museum is also within walking distance. I will choose this place when I go to Kagoshima City again.

Maybe I checked in late. It was after 7pm and the room was full, so the room I was assigned was not very good. There was a musty smell in the first room I entered. After I told the front desk, I changed to a second room with a bigger musty smell. But my friend is very nice. The structure is the front desk on the 7th floor and the guest rooms on the 8th to 14th floors. The 15th floor is a restaurant and breakfast is here, and on a sunny day, you can see Sakurajima, and I think there is no complaint about the local dishes like Kagoshima. However, the deduction point was the following points ● There is no parking lot at the hotel. Since the parking lot is a little far away, I think that if you have luggage, you really need a parking lot. It can't be helped in the structure anymore, but I got the impression that it would be a little painful to carry heavy luggage when I came by car. ● If the affiliated parking lot is a little far away, it's fine when checking out (if it's not rainy), there's no problem, but I got the impression that it would be a little hard if it was raining. ● The content of the restaurant in the morning is fine, but I think there are many guests who come for the specialty ”chicken rice”. However, the impression that the frequency of the ingredient replenishment is slow because there is only soup stock and rice left insufficient replenishment.
