This Safari experience was beyond positive expectation! What a lodge, built in the jungle, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Perfect staff and experienced rangers and drivers - what could you wish more! Excellent food and leisure drinks in the evening.

Nice location, very good tents with nice decoration but very poor management and mainenance. ☹️ Toilet at the restaurant and bar not clean, sink old and needs to be replaced. No bulbs therefore not enough light. Food could be better. You need to pay in $ as the do nit have local currency.!?!

The nature surrounding the Camp is wonderful. Hills, bush-areas and open areas give a good chance to see many species of different animals. We have been travelling at safaris several times in Kenya, Uganda and Zambia, but this was our first visit to Tanzania. Why do I say that - because we met one of our top-three guides at Vuma Hills. Friday! You are on our toplist of guides, well supported by driver Abel! The Camp itself is familiar with very good service and friendly staff. I'd love to come back!

Nice tents, beautiful location and very very good service. We stayed 2 nights. Sitting at the tent-terrace is something to remeber with animals to see and hear. Breakfast, lunch and dinner tastet perfect!

A fabulous place to stay. The Manager and staff are so friendly and helpful. Tented rooms are just incredible. Room 10 has a brilliant view over the Mikumi National Park. Food excellent. The bush babies came to visit each night at dinner. A great base to visit Mikumi.

This is a great camp in Mikumi - comfortable and spacious bandas, great views from out terrace and the restaurant area and even a pool. The staff were friendly, welcoming and flexible. Food was good and plentiful. Our guide, Fraida, was enthusiastic, fun and knowledgable. Manager, Abdul, went the extra mile to ensure our stay was successful. Mikumi exceeded our expectations, with a fantastic concentration of game (partially due to the late arrival of the rains) and super scenery. Some of our party did the Udzwunga excusions and had a highly enjoyable day out. Asante sana

The price for a couple of residents in full board is 350 USD to which you have to add compulsory 60 USD for concession fees (while you still need to drive 20 minutes to the gate), making it 410 USD, excluding park fees. This amount is of course higher for non-residents. Tents are spacious and clean and the food is very good. Yet, if I compare with several national parks and lodges in Tanzania, we are not in a high-end place and the overall value-for-money (bathrooms, facilities, accessibility, environment, etc.) is not there. It would be a great place if it was 100 USD less per night. Having said that, it is maybe more affordable for families because of the 2 single beds so it may be a question of the public targeted, the ideal for business being obviously a family brought by tour operators for a one-off experience.

First of all, I would like to say a big thank you to the staff , who looked after us in a friendly and helpful manner. The team's service was perfect and the chef deserves at least one star for the delicious meals. Our guides, Abli and Moses, took us on Safari trips in an open SUV. With their vast experience they spotted many birds, lizards, crocodiles, hippos, jackals, hyenas, warthosgs, impalas and antilopes, zebras, wildbeests, giraffes and lions, attacking a group of buffalos. Not to forget elephant family with a 3 weeks old baby passing by 2 meters away from us. The guides answered all our questions and we learned a lot of them. Under two large wooden constructions with thatched roof we (grandparents, parents and 2 grandchildren, 11 and 9 years) found our home for 3 nights in comfortable tents with large bed-and living room . The bathroom was clean and at the end edge of the tent. From our terrace we watched the birds and to my delight also a pair of hornbills. „tutarudi hapa !“

We had a wonderful 1 night stay at Vuma Hills, as overnight for our Mikumi Safari with Waterbucks Safari. The location of the tents - site inside the Park amidst large trees and separate huts on a different platform, on top of the hill is great. It is such an experience sleeping in the hut, with a thatched roof, transformed into an elegant tent with a comfortable queen bed and 2 twin beds (can also be used for seating if only couple using the room) and a separate bathroom and toilet – no outhouse !!!! …. Each with a separate safari-animal theme. Being on top of the hill gives you great views from your own balcony and also from the main deck and restaurant … great view of sunrise and sunset over the mountains. The water for your shower is heated by a solar panel near your hut-tent There is a small pool with warm water from the solar panel. Lovely lanterns to guide you from the main deck-restaurant to your tent. The staff was so nice and the food delicious! Note that the generator doesn't run after 10:30 PM so plan accordingly to charge your phone and Ipad. But Lovely little flashlight near the bed to facilitate moving around your cabin-hut-tent or outside to the main deck, even after lights out. It is worth the splurge of a few extra dollars to stay in this wonderful place !!!!
