The view was spectacular and the Osen was huge. It is indeed a bit aged but it is also well maintained. The dinner was alright but not impressive yet the buffet breakfast was full of choices overall good.

The hotel is located next to a beautiful cedar forest. The rooms have just been renovated and are very clean and comfortable. The hotel has the largest hot spring bath in Japan, with a faint smell of sulfur, two meals per stay, and exquisite cuisine. It is the first choice for accommodation in Kirishima.

Although the hotel is in a remote location, the environment is beautiful, the rooms are clean and spacious, and the hot spring experience is great! Will want to come again! The food tastes good, the Japanese food for dinner and the breakfast buffet are both great! There are also some scenic spots nearby. This time I only stayed for two days and one night. Next time I will want to spend three days and two nights for an in-depth tour! (It is more convenient to drive by yourself!)

The location is a bit remote, if you are not traveling by car. It is very inconvenient to go to this hotel. The bus schedule is very sp****. But the hotel environment is very good, and there is a century-old cedar park next to it. These trees are very beautiful. The room was also very nice and comfortable. Dinner is not a buffet, but it is rich and delicious.  In the so-called Communion Hot Spring, it turns out that you can't wear clothes (you can only cover it with a towel), so of course no women will come.

It was my first visit in 12 years. The customer service was as excellent as ever, and they even greeted me at the parking lot. What has changed since 12 years ago is that many of the employees are from abroad. To say that the service has gotten worse is the opposite, but I was very satisfied with the service I received. The service at dinner was excellent. I was traveling from the Kanto region, but I will visit again.

After driving to the hotel parking lot, the receptionist has informed the front desk and arranged for Chinese-speaking staff to check in for us, and then let us know more about the hotel's facilities. Breakfast/dinner are all prepared with care. The hot spring environment is very good. There are century-old cedar trees outside the hotel.

Beautiful forest bath, worthy of its reputation as the best bath in the world

This was my first time using a sulfur hot spring, and I was extremely satisfied with the hot spring. As for the facility, it was a bit disappointing as the renovated area nearby was a bit more beautiful.

The hot springs at this hotel are amazing. I love sulfur springs, so I bathe in them many times, even if it's just for one night. The food is delicious and I always look forward to staying here.

It's a very historic hotel, but the scale of the hot spring pavilion should be the largest in the area, and the spring quality is also very good. Although the facilities have signs of time, they are absolutely clean and tidy. The building is designed to blend into the surrounding fir forest as much as possible.

It was great to be able to enjoy a variety of hot springs! ️ Dinner is Kaiseki cuisine and tastes good. It was delicious 😃 I think the breakfast buffet wasn't good.The view of the sunset from the room was amazing👍

It was a large hotel located at the top of Kirishima Onsen Village. All the employees greeted me with gentle smiles and made me feel comfortable 😊 The large public bath at this hotel is amazing! ️Usually, the male-only bathhouse is also female-only from 20:00 to 21:30, so I went there. I thoroughly enjoyed the hot springs in a spacious area ✌️ The next day, my skin was smooth, probably due to the effects of the hot springs 💖 Unfortunately, there was no hot water in the bath in the room! ️ Maybe it was a bad idea... 😣

Big hot spring, so nice

Good value, staff is helpful, there’s a small area to walk up (10 mins) to see some really tall cedar trees. There are 5-6 types of onsen (iron, salt, sulphur) onsen with outdoor onsen to try. There are men and women mixed onsen where at certain period of time, only women is allowed in that area. Food is served individually on the table (not buffet) with local delicacies. As I need to take a bus the next day, they will stop you off at the bus station which is about 10 mins walk from the hotel
