Amazing
DDONGJUNThis is a newly opened place Not all rooms are open yet be under construction The staff here are very kind Service education, very well minded We wanted to stay here longer, I only said that the hotel has no rooms But there were definitely vacancies in our eyes I don't know why they don't make reservations That was a bit disappointing If I visit this island again, I want to visit again The food at the restaurant tastes good, The price is too high It doesn't matter if it's expensive You'll have to prepare something for the price Whether it's increasing the amount of food or plenching, I need to make a difference

Amazing
GGuest UserStayed for 4 days. The room was very clean. I really liked its courtyard and the platform in front of the room. It was very relaxing to sit and do nothing to watch the sea and feel the sea breeze. The room was well maintained and the facilities felt very new. The hotel is located at a higher position, and the view of the sea and the sunset is beautiful. The hotel faces the sea and walks 100 meters to the left across the pier to the beach. The sand is very clean and the sea water is clear. It is quite convenient to go to the beach. Breakfast is ordered, juice, fruit sandwiches... It is really delicious. Sometimes we also have dinner in the restaurant. The taste is very good 👍 The service is professional and thoughtful. By the way, there are several cats in the hotel. They are very friendly. They will rub you casually and accompany you to watch the sunset... In short, I like the sand tower very much and it is a very satisfactory stay.

Great
RRonnie WayneMy friends stayed at the Shanta’s which is really nice. I spent the days at their hotel because the landscape and layout was far superior. Also the Shanta rooms overlook the water whereas paradise is like a travel lodge motel. I understand the Shantaa is more expensive but the paradise was designed not to look very nice. There is much landscaping and a very sterile environment. The rooms and facility need updating. The breakfast is very low quality even the bread and juices. The main courses were maybe a 2 to 3 out of 5. The service was fine in the lobby and housekeeping was ample. They did not replace my coffee and the shower gel was broken and I left it by the sink thinking they would repair it but they did not. If you want to be near the beach and do not mind staying in average rooms with no view, this is the place. I was unable to find another reasonable priced hotel with good ratings on trip. The trip rating system is flawed since my service was fine and they do have amenities.

GGuest UserStarting with the positives, Tolani resort has really friendly staff who bent over backwards to make your stay pleasant. It also has beautiful rooms our bungalow was clean and comfortable with good aircon and a very comfortable bed. It gave a feeling of luxury though the water pressure in the shower was really bad. It’s outside of the rooms that this resort falls flat. Tolani is positioning itself as a luxury resort and with a high price point to match but for the money it doesn’t deliver. The resort is supposedly on the beach but in reality the beach is not easily accessible from the resort. You can climb over rocks and swim over to the beach but it’s not easy. This means you will not have any sun loungers on the beach which can be an issue as the pool area is very small with only a handful of beds there. It’s also what you want from a beach front resort. The food at the resort including breakfast is very poor but very expensive. Thankfully there are great restaurants nearby but we didn’t have a single good meal here. Drinks and food are massively overpriced for the island too. We also had a poor experience at checkout. We had given our scooter back to the hire place but needed to head to the shops and so my wife asked if it was possible to get a taxi. A kind member of staff offered to run her up the road quickly in their car which we assumed was just a kind gesture. On checkout they charged us 15 euros for this trip. That’s an outrageous price for a 5 minute ride down the road but it also wasn’t communicated to us that we would be charged at the time as we wouldn’t have agreed. When we challenged this they told us we had to pay. It left a really bad taste in the mouth and it showcased this place is mainly looking to make money off its guests and not about creating a good experience. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here because there are better resorts for the price point and the food and facilities are both sorely lacking. The lovely staff are not enough to save the price gouging happening here.

AAnonymous UserI agree with all the reviews about the friendly attitude of the hostess. Thanks to her for helping with some issues. We had a clean, fairly large room, a good bed and bed linen. The air conditioner is well adjusted, it doesn't blow on the bed. Breakfasts are delicious, from the menu, but there's not much to choose from: either scrambled eggs or fruit or pancakes/waffles. But we weren't hungry. There was no refrigerator, but you can leave it in the refrigerator at the reception. And without a bike, it's still far to the sea, you can't stay in the heat.

AAllieLWe had an amazing 4 night stay at the Mak Trat and I can’t begin to say how wonderful, new, clean and well kept this place is. We arranged a hotel pick up from the Ao Nid port and within 5-10 of our arrival they came to pick us up, and took our luggage straight to the room. The villas are extremely charming and the beds are very very very comfortable. The breakfast is delicious as well and the food at their own restaurant, and the amenities like the swimming pool area are very clean, beautiful and inviting. The staff is very kind and helpful informing you about day trips and also, you can rent a scooter at the hotel itself. We’re in love with this place I would 100% stay there again. Highly recommend!

GGuest UserThe wCham’s house is a wonderful place , very well located on great beach … But … the staff doesn’t speak very well English ( apart from the responsable persons in every service) . But gettinginformation at the reception is very difficult and getting g the right info at the restaurant ( apart from the menu) is also not possible. The management should really invest in English courses for their staff , as well as invest in the maintenance ( very , very poor) . It looks like that after the pandemic, the owners of Cham’s house want to earn a maximum of money , without investing.. it’s a pity that this wonderful place is loosing it’s glamour ..

PPockatmzEvery time I come to Koh Kood, I stay at only the Captain Hook resorts. This time I brought my elders with me. I couldn't book in time, so there was only Captain Hook, a pool suit room left. I usually come on weekdays, but this time I came during the New Year period. The weather was great, the sea was clear, and diving around the resort was the end. There were a lot of fish, medium, and large. The accommodation is suitable for those who like peace and quiet. There is no beach in front of the resort, but you have to kayak across, less than 50 meters.

GGuest UserIt probably was a great place to stay years ago, but not anymore! Avoid! Staff are renting there own motorbikes to try and make an extra buck, normally I’m up for this but they tried to give me some broken bike and smiled as if it was ok. There was a mistake with my booking so I couldn’t get the room I paid for so I had to pay for an upgraded room which I happily did. Trip.com offered to refund me so all I needed from the hotel was a receipt to show Trip.com but because the receptionist didn’t put me through the system and just pocketed the extra money that I had to pay in cash, she couldn’t give me a receipt, now I’m caught up in this scam they have going. I obviously was not able to leave a tip after all this weirdness, I have never in all 50 years of staying in hotels been asked to pay for the hotels mistake. Usually upgrades are free as an apology for not providing what was originally advertised and paid for.
