Amazing
GGuest UserWe stayed in the hilltop rooms which were the worst on the resort. You had to walk up uneven and badly kept steps to get down to the rest of the resort. They were difficult to walk on with wet flip flops The water in the shower also had low water pressure. The beach and sea view villas looked amazing though, so try to book them if you can. The pool overlooked the sea which was a delight and the beach although small was cleaned regularly and you could always get a sunbed. Plenty of shade too.The breakfast was average and they supplied sandwiches between 3-5pm which was a nice touch. The food in the evening was below average as well as the cocktails. They wanted to close early so the restaurant was closed by 8.30 and the doors were shut. Service was Ok but we have had much better in previous hotels we have stayed in on this holiday. This wasn’t a problem for us because taxis were cheap and we go into town where there were enough restaurants to choose from. Try out the Art Studio Bar at the top of the hill.

GGuest UserWe have just spent a wonderful 5 days here and it was a blissfully peaceful and tranquil stay. At first we were a little unsure about how remote and cut off it seemed but within a very short time, we had completely forgotten about the outside world. Shantaa resort had everything you could need for a truly relaxing stay. The villas are super comfortable, spotlessly clean and set in lovely gardens which roll down to the sea. The bathroom is an outdoor room which has its own pretty little tropical garden feature. Everything is tastefully furnished, the beds are very comfortable and everything is kept lovely and clean. The outside terrace has beanbag sofas which are great for lounging on. The pool area is great, nice beds and plenty of towels and bottled water available. The restaurant serves an à la carte breakfast which was really lovely. A lot of thought and effort goes into how the food and drink is made and presented. There is an extensive dinner menu and all the meals we took were of an excellent standard and really very inexpensive. The cafe, which has a lovely setting by the sea, serves lunches and drinks throughout the day and everything we ordered was super fresh and of a very high standard. All in all, a wonderful stay, we felt we had been on a health retreat!

Great
GGuest UserThis hotel is perfect for this island. Everything was beautiful. We had a slight hiccup at the check-in, but manager Vince settled the issue in a very professional way. He was kind and he listened and acted accordingly. I really appreciated that. They do have the best bar in the island with the most attentive bartenders. The drinks was so pretty and delicious. I strongly recommend this hotel I know I will come back.

GGuest UserStarting with the positives, Tolani resort has really friendly staff who bent over backwards to make your stay pleasant. It also has beautiful rooms our bungalow was clean and comfortable with good aircon and a very comfortable bed. It gave a feeling of luxury though the water pressure in the shower was really bad. It’s outside of the rooms that this resort falls flat. Tolani is positioning itself as a luxury resort and with a high price point to match but for the money it doesn’t deliver. The resort is supposedly on the beach but in reality the beach is not easily accessible from the resort. You can climb over rocks and swim over to the beach but it’s not easy. This means you will not have any sun loungers on the beach which can be an issue as the pool area is very small with only a handful of beds there. It’s also what you want from a beach front resort. The food at the resort including breakfast is very poor but very expensive. Thankfully there are great restaurants nearby but we didn’t have a single good meal here. Drinks and food are massively overpriced for the island too. We also had a poor experience at checkout. We had given our scooter back to the hire place but needed to head to the shops and so my wife asked if it was possible to get a taxi. A kind member of staff offered to run her up the road quickly in their car which we assumed was just a kind gesture. On checkout they charged us 15 euros for this trip. That’s an outrageous price for a 5 minute ride down the road but it also wasn’t communicated to us that we would be charged at the time as we wouldn’t have agreed. When we challenged this they told us we had to pay. It left a really bad taste in the mouth and it showcased this place is mainly looking to make money off its guests and not about creating a good experience. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend staying here because there are better resorts for the price point and the food and facilities are both sorely lacking. The lovely staff are not enough to save the price gouging happening here.

JJSMCThe highlight staying at Baan Suan is definitely the passionate hospitality of host Lily, would is happy to go above and beyond to help make your Koh Kood stay fun and memorable. I stayed at the standard room, which looked a bit different to the photos, generally clean but beware of flying ants at night when you have your lights on, and also for small geckos and the likes (toilet and shower is also outside of room, which is something not mentioned at booking, for people who are wary of mosquitos and other insects going to the bathroom at night might want to consider an upgrade in room). Location is on the main road 10 easy mins walk to Bang Bao beach. Otherwise there's restaurants and cafés within 15mins walk either direction of road. All in all, recommended to stay here if you'd like a homefeel to the chilled vibes of Koh Kood!

AAlinaPros of the hotel: Beautiful beach, clear sea, magnificent sunsets, nice bar with delicious cocktails during happy hour for 160 baht, beautiful pier for photos On the territory you can rent a bike without deposits, etc. They accept card payments (+3% to the bill) Cons of the hotel: Tired, ugly bungalows Broken furniture Torn, gray towels and bed linen Untasteful and expensive restaurant Breakfast is not very good, you will not go hungry, but you will not get pleasure either. And you need to come early, once we came at 9.30, some dishes were already gone and were not replenished Ugly territory of the hotel

GGuest UserThe wCham’s house is a wonderful place , very well located on great beach … But … the staff doesn’t speak very well English ( apart from the responsable persons in every service) . But gettinginformation at the reception is very difficult and getting g the right info at the restaurant ( apart from the menu) is also not possible. The management should really invest in English courses for their staff , as well as invest in the maintenance ( very , very poor) . It looks like that after the pandemic, the owners of Cham’s house want to earn a maximum of money , without investing.. it’s a pity that this wonderful place is loosing it’s glamour ..

PPockatmzEvery time I come to Koh Kood, I stay at only the Captain Hook resorts. This time I brought my elders with me. I couldn't book in time, so there was only Captain Hook, a pool suit room left. I usually come on weekdays, but this time I came during the New Year period. The weather was great, the sea was clear, and diving around the resort was the end. There were a lot of fish, medium, and large. The accommodation is suitable for those who like peace and quiet. There is no beach in front of the resort, but you have to kayak across, less than 50 meters.

ВВоронов ПавелLet's start with the pros: the hotel is new, everything is done well, the rooms are modestly furnished, but have a minimum of everything. The location is good, the beach is nearby, literally a 3-5 minute walk depending on the pace. The mattress and pillows are good, there is hot (through a water heater) and cold water. There is Internet, but the speed is not fantastic. The staff is smiling, kind, they understand almost no English. Towels from the room can be used as beach towels and returned every day in exchange for new ones. The territory is small, there are no sun loungers. You can rent a bike for 300 baht, like taking the keys, then throwing them on the table and goodbye, no one inspects bikes. The bike is Honda click 125, in good condition, they don't care if you have a license, that's your problem, they give you a helmet, but everyone on the island rides without one, although there is plenty to kill yourself in, a lot of steep hills and a road made of concrete slabs, in places with good cracks for the wheel to lead. Now the downsides: mosquitoes, there are a lot of them, small, it seems that they are not there, but they are. Buy repellents, especially for the socket at night. Breakfast is complete trash, 3 courses and that's it, the same thing day after day, you can live for 2-3 days, then you get bored. The BIGGEST downside of this hotel is the audibility, you will hear EVERYTHING, the farts and snoring of neighbors, everything that happens on the street, since the glass there is single, it is not even a double-glazed window. One concrete slab, if someone drops something far away on the tile in the room, you will know about it. Noisy refrigerator. The restaurant, which is this hotel, does not give discounts for residents, the food is bad, there are always a lot of people there, drinking beer and eating, there are even queues, I gave it 2 chances, but this is really bad, even when compared with neighboring establishments. If you want fish, eat in the fishing village, it is 15 minutes by bike, no need in this restaurant. There are palm trees along the path to the beach, it's cool, but the staff doesn't cut coconuts from them, you're walking through a minefield, you play roulette every day, for some reason they cut them on the territory of large hotels, here no one cares. There is no kettle in the room and the room itself is tiny, you can't even open your suitcases. If you're traveling alone, then it's fine, if you're traveling as a couple and with suitcases and for more than 3 days, you don't need to come here.

GGuest UserIt probably was a great place to stay years ago, but not anymore! Avoid! Staff are renting there own motorbikes to try and make an extra buck, normally I’m up for this but they tried to give me some broken bike and smiled as if it was ok. There was a mistake with my booking so I couldn’t get the room I paid for so I had to pay for an upgraded room which I happily did. Trip.com offered to refund me so all I needed from the hotel was a receipt to show Trip.com but because the receptionist didn’t put me through the system and just pocketed the extra money that I had to pay in cash, she couldn’t give me a receipt, now I’m caught up in this scam they have going. I obviously was not able to leave a tip after all this weirdness, I have never in all 50 years of staying in hotels been asked to pay for the hotels mistake. Usually upgrades are free as an apology for not providing what was originally advertised and paid for.
