Akti Palace Hotel

We have just returned from Akti Palace. It was more than expected. The staff are generally amazing. Just one or 2 staff that were a bit grumpy but other than that everyone was very helpful. The wee man handing out the towels at the beach was so nice and always happy to chat and help anyone. George was lovely and so helpful, we had some chats at night and his crepes are amazing too. Thank you George you made our holiday very special. The room could have done with a wee bit work to make it 5* quality but was always clean and the cleaner was so nice and done an amazing job. The food was really good too. The sports centre on the beach was so good, the staff there were both lovely and happy to chat to you and helpful. Free shuttle bus to the town which was brilliant. Loads to do, go-karting (just a 5 min walk from the hotel), horse riding and loads of water sports like paddle boarding, parasailing and much more. When we went it wasn’t too busy so got subbed at the beach and by the pool without any issues.

We had a great holiday at Akti Palace. Friendly and accommodating on arrival and checkin was fast and organised. We was given a glass of bubbly and escorted to our room which was up some steps on the 3rd floor overlooking a private pool area. Only the ground floor rooms could use this area which we didn't realise at first as it wasn't made clear to us. Mini bar in room well stocked every day. The complex is large and it took us a while to get used to it because the rooms are in blocks painted exactly the same. There is a large main pool with plenty of sunbeds and parasols and never had a problem getting a spot in the sun. The pool bar was great for snacks during the day and at night for the entertainment and service was very good. The staff and the Pool Bar Manager (Savos) were very friendly and remembered our drinks providing a great table service with crisps too. So sorry I didnt take their names the Pool Manager and the younger chap who is always there were great. The Main Bar was also great for an afternoon drink from Billy (very friendly and informative) we also loved Nicolas!!! He is an absolute legend. He runs that Bar like his own and you feel so welcomed. He could do with more help at times he is run ragged with demanding guests and is trying to wait tables and serve which is impossible but he does it with a smile. The buffet restaurant is great too. Plenty of choice lots of meat and fish, and salads are amazing. Table service is great. Particularly from the lady and 2 younger men ( sorry can't remember their names ) I could not complain about the food or service here. Have to shout out to George who runs the night food in the main restaurant He's a lovely man, very professional and always smiling and happy. The themed restaurants are good but far too much food! Need to cut the portion sizes down. Kardamina is about a 40 minute stroll along a flat road. Fabulous little town with a marina and great bars and a few nice shops with good designer copies. On the negative.... The beach is stoney and across a small road so we didn't use it but great views across the sea. Maids cleaned room every day but didnt change our sheets and left them in our room which to change ourselves whuch was odd. Would have been nicer to have branded premium drinks and better quality beer. The cocktails were pre mixed and weak. I dont really drink them but disappointed if you do. Some people don't respect the rules and give the staff a hard time. Some people are rude, particularly some big groups expecting the earth because its 5 star, and making noise at night and not taking glasses back. The hotel dealt well with it well and the night reception/ security man was onto it, but it's a shame when people come and try to spoil it Overall a great holiday and we would come back again! We have just spent the nicest week at Akti Palace. The hotel was gorgeous, everyday there was a wide range of food choice and the staff were incredible! Nikolaos who works in the main bar was superb - so friendly, our next round was always already on the way to us before we even asked and the cocktails were lovely! George (who worked the overnight shift) was the friendliest person ever, especially when we arrived after a late flight, nothing was too much trouble. The nicest staff who couldn’t do enough for you, would 100% recommend this hotel!

We booked an economy room at the akti palace which was well equipped. They did upgrade our room to the family suite area which for us as a couple, was a downgrade as we were woken up early most mornings by screaming children and by the building work going on at the site opposite. The hotel facilities were good, and we really enjoyed the food and drinks. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool areas and the hotel was very clean. A lot of the public toilet areas didn’t have working locks, so this could be something that the hotel could look into. The entertainment was great and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a 10 minute taxi or bus ride to Rhodes town.

Lovely hotel rooms were spacious, shared pool room (1611). The bathroom shower rather odd but done what it had to do. Mini bar was stocked every morning, 9am & rooms cleaned before 12. The pool area was great. I never had any issues getting a sun bed with parasoles & didn't ever witness sun bed wars. Also, could you pick up a pool towel from the guy at the hut between the pool & the beach. The beach itself was lovely a bit rocky getting into the water but always managed with the sand bags in place & the water was crystal clear & could see all the fish beneath you. Never had any issues with beds on the beach either. Also lots of water sports are available at a charge. The food was plentiful & I never felt it was repetitive, always something for everyone. Vegetarian section fish section meats chips pizza pastas. I really enjoyed their moussaka, pizza & freshly made ommlate fried eggs pancakes for breakfast & never a big queue either. The staff in the restaurant were always at hand to pour your fresh water tea coffee & juice wine beer in the evening, always clearing tables the are all so friendly & work very hard We also booked the Asian night that was lovely & only about 15 of us in the restaurant. The entertainment in the evening wasn't my cup of tea. I saw a dance show & most nights it was singers but didn't stop me sitting & enjoying a few drinks while it was on the bar was always full when entertainment was on but always a seat & table available. Would I return? YES

We had the most incredible time at Akti Palace. The hotel is amazing and has everything you could want, whilst being situated in an incredibly beautiful landscape. What really made this holiday so special were the incredible staff at the hotel. The stand outs for us were Alexandros, Christos, Mateo and Alexia. Not only were they amazing at their job, we got to know them so well and had so many great chats with them. I hope to keep in touch for many years to come. They are an absolute credit to the hotel and make the experience truly 5 star. The rooms are lovely and the way the hotel is laid out makes it feel like a little village/town. With the ultra all inclusive package we also had access to the neighbouring Akti Beach Hotel, so were spoilt for choice. Akti Palace also provide a free shuttle bus into Kardamena, which is lovely to walk around and there are also lovely day trips you can get from there. As we visited end of season, there were a few things around the hotel that may have needed little touch ups, but we completely expect that. The food at the hotel was great and the three tasting menu options were brilliant too. There are lots of drink options and there is also food available all hours of the day. We would 100% visit this fantastic hotel again after an amazing holiday this year.

After only booking this hotel a few weeks ago we had a good holiday. Plus points we had a shared pool and mostly had it to ourselves, which was very much needed as unfortunately there was sunbed wars and sunbeds all gone by 9.30. We would spend the morning at the beach and go to our pool for the afternoon. Selfish people leaving sunbeds on the beach unoccupied for hours and hours! The staff are very friendly and work so hard. Vasilou, George, Georgia, Matheous and the very tall guy didn't get his name in the restaurants. Also Melina at the pool bar as unfortunately in the evenings she was the only waitress and one guy serving the drinks. So people queue at the bar so service is slow. Did get Gordons Gin when asked for it. Our room was lovely and modern and our cleaner kept it clean. The only annoying thing is the shower is terrible as it's over the bath and the shower screen doesn't cover enough of the bath so soaks the floor! The food is lovely and fresh and the Greek night was good. We did eat one evening in the hotel next door but too chaotic and very busy we liked our quiet restaurant. We used the free pedalo for 20mins and my son and husband hired paddleboards at the watersports centre on the beach which they loved. S

Me and my family stayed for 10 nights in July. Tax was €40 for that duration. I emailed the hotel before arriving requesting a quiet room and one on the upper floor and that's exactly what we had, lovely view across to the sea in the distance. We had a lovely stay, close to the beach, free sunbeds, free towels, and when the sea is calm, you also have free access to the kayaks and peddle boats, all other water sports are reasonably priced. The food was good, lots of different choice, and of course Akti Palace guests can also use Atki Beach facilities, where there is even more choice of food, although it's much more chaotic compared to Akti Palace! Akti Beach has pool tables, and a small games room with table tennis, pool table, air hockey, and a few other things. Our room was cleaned everyday, the lady who cleaned our room was lovely, always smiling and really hard working. It was a pleasure to meet all the staff in the hotel, the receptionists, our cleaner, the staff in the restaurant, the bar staff at the main bar, the day staff at the pool bar, all so hardworking and always smiling. Thank you all for making our holiday so enjoyable. A few people have commented that this is not a 5* hotel, but truthfully we were happy with everything that was included in the price, on top of what I mentioned already, there's also a free shuttle bus to Kardemena throughout the day and evening, access to all the facilities in 2 hotels, free mini bar topped up everyday, free courtesy room for an hour on departure day, all the themed restaurants you can book. We really enjoyed our holiday and hope to return again in the future.

The Akti spa was amazing. The staff are friendly and courteous. The full body massage was a real treat on my holiday. The therapy rooms are beautiful with lots of treatment options. Big thank you to SEVI for a wonderful warm experience.. you were polite and patient with me and the massage was exactly what I needed.
