"The cleanliness of this hotel and the staff is top notch🤍
Love the ambiance of the lobby and the room. The lobby smells great too.
They have their own cafe however as of this writing it's under renovation.
Location- for those who will stay indoors most of the time this is ideal. However, if you wish to visit night markets and other tourist spot, you can book their other branch near gaya street.
Easy to get grab, fare range from 5myr-15myr to malls , gaya street, jesselton quay etc.
Plus points to all the staff who are very attentive to your concerns, they are one chat away. Very generous also in providing bottled water"
"Really bad staff - they spoke really bad English and they weren’t helpful at all .
The door of the restaurant says open until 11pm , I arrived before 9.30pm , reed the menu and then when I was about to order they said the restaurant closes at 10pm and they don’t serve after 9.30pm. I’ve checked the watch and it was 9.32pm - and all they said was “sorry sir” with a smirk on their faces
Next day I asked I went to the concierge for some tips regarding the tour to see the Proboscis monkeys and he couldn’t explain anything at all. Also asked for some recommendations regarding where I could have a good steak he couldn’t also advise a restaurant.
Finally i put the car in the reception.
No one explained how the system worked. I had to wait for someone that spoke proper English to come and explain.
If I was in a 2 star lodge in the middle of nowhere I could understand such a bad staff but this was in a 4 star hotel in the capital of Sabah"
"I had a wonderful stay at Shangri-la Tanjung Aru in Kota Kinabalu. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check-in was fast and easy.
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was soft, and I slept well. I also enjoyed the beautiful view from my window.
Breakfast had many delicious choices. The on-site restaurant served tasty food.
The hotel had great facilities and the location was perfect, close to beautiful bench.
Overall, I had a great experience. I highly recommend this hotel and would love to stay again."

"Great view whether it’s city or sea view, city view will be able to see the sunrise and sea view the sunset. The gym was well equipped and maintained"
"The service and place was just really awesome. Everything was so smooth and the staffs were really welcoming and helpful. Location wise, very strategic and I walked around because I felt like everything was within walking distance. While cheking in, you also get complimentary juice."
"Ideal location, but not much facilities though. The hotel room is big with a fashionable western styled design.
I stayed over for one night, arrived at Saturday night and left for Sunday morning. The busy Gaya Street makes it fun at Saturday night but the Sunday market can be very noisy as the market starts very early in the morning.
All in all a pleasant stay!"

KKatiya HThe hotel’s place is pretty nice, can see the wonderful ocean and sunset view when I stand in front of the window. I love the chair which is placed in front the window. The chair is comfortable, and can read a book or watch the TV or see the outside scene. The room is pretty great for me. There is a mini bar in the living room, they provide coffee machine there. I do really enjoy it!

GGuest UserBang for buck. Room was fairly small, but still ample space with the right sized bed (single in my case). Breakfast was pretty decent too. Eating out was easy as the popular seafood restaurants for tourists are nearby and plenty of local eateries just at the doorstep. Wouldn't mind booking this hotel again if I am travelling alone (would prefer something more luxurious if with the family).

Mmerry berryIf you are still looking for a good hotel, I highly recommend travelers to come to this hotel. The counter staff is very polite in front of a smile, and the hall is also very spacious and comfortable. They will also be very polite to take your luggage. The most important thing is that this place is very convenient to go anywhere. The room is very clean and hygienic. I am very satisfied with this place. I give it 10/10 .I will come here again next time.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel staff told us the room we book not ready for customer yet (Maybe the need to do some inspections first before selling the room bcause this hotel is consider as a new building, minor half this building still under construction). Then, we got a new room ( i think it's listed as premier bed king/queen size with seaview). Parking Zone quit spacious but 👻 ( i guess it is paid parking and i see just a few car was park make it look 👻).Thank you Citadines KK ✨🎉 for the hospitality

Nnic regorExternal needs a new coat of paint and internal areas need modernising. One bathroom had a door lock at opposite ends with lock on the outside.
Staff were very pleasant n helpful.A self service launderate is located just next door which was very helpful.A bad experience where room was facing some housing where there was a sort of wedding function with loud music but on the good side it ended exactly at midnight.
SShawal Abdul RahmanNeeds more improvement especially on basic amnesties supplies..such as toothbrush, combs, slippers etc...
The rooms are quite nice, yet..the carpets are a bit smelly though.
By the way, the sunrise views quite okay. Thanks
