Expensive but worth it for us. Especially liked the location, the bike rental around the corner, great onsen, and delicious breakfast.

It is a private Japanese-style hotel built in 1831. It is a very good hotel. The kaiseki cuisine included in the package is delicious and you can tell that it was carefully prepared. The service was very good and the waiter was very polite. When I left the next day, I found that my shoes had been cleaned for me. The room will not be cold, the quilt is very soft, our room is large, both dry and wet, and the air conditioner is not noisy at all. The service is very good. It is a small Japanese-style hotel. If the rest and tea room on the second floor can be opened, it will be 100 points.

The service is great, but the facilities and environment are just average. Maybe my expectations were too high. If you haven't been here before, you can try it, but I probably won't stay here a second time.

The service was really considerate~ I bought a painting and asked the hotel staff to find a bag to pack it in. The lady not only brought bags of several sizes but also brought bubble wrap tape to help me pack it. The service was meticulous. Pay attention to detail

The location of the hotel is pretty good, just a 2-minute walk from Kiyomizu Gojo Station, and it's not far from the main attractions by taxi. The hotel is a traditional Japanese inn with exquisite decoration and good service. However, since it is a traditional old house, the sound insulation is relatively poor and the bathroom is relatively small, so it is definitely not as comfortable as a hotel. However, it was a good choice to experience Japanese culture at that time.

Very Japanese characteristics, can be experienced

This ryokan was wonderful. There were 3 of us and we stayed for 2 nights. The staffs are so friendly and amazing. They treat us so kindly and we are well taken care of. The room was very clean and we enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast was included with our room and we choose the Japanese style breakfast and it was very delicious. Our room had 2 western style beds and our 3rd guest slept on futon, but all were very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this ryokan to everyone who would like to experience a traditional ryokan in Kyoto.

This was an amazing experience, everyone was amazing and accommodating. Our room attendant was very sweet and we had a wonderful view of the garden. This Ryokan is also a very short walk to many important shrines. Highly recommend.

The highest level of service. The 14 course diner was so amazing we were anxiety waiting for the next one. Our personal host made us feel so special her attention to detail us impeccable. Our stay could have not been better.

Amazing!! Service is incredible and the public baths were clean and had all of the amenities. A wonderful experience!
