Amazing
AAnonymous UserThe hotel's location is excellent, within walking distance to Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, Harbour Bridge, and the Royal Botanic Garden. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the room view was disappointing. We booked a 'Skyline King Room,' but there was no skyline visible at all; we just looked out onto old, dilapidated rooftops. The room also felt quite small.

JJulesTI’ve stayed in many hostels before and understand you sometimes get what you pay for, but my stay at Wake Up! Sydney Central was disappointing. We booked a private room for three with a shared bathroom. The room had a strong “slept-in” smell which seemed to come from the actual pillows and bedding rather than the sheets. The shared bathrooms were also quite dirty, and during our five-day stay I only saw them cleaned once. The kitchen on the first floor is far too small for the number of guests. Fridges and cupboards were completely full, and with only a few cooktops, sinks and microwaves it’s very difficult to cook or find a place to eat. The hostel is very focused on partying, with events like pizza nights and free drinks in the kitchen area. It’s also quite noisy, with partying and heavy doors slamming day and night, so don’t expect much sleep. Considering how expensive Sydney is, this place still felt overpriced. The building is run down (cracked sinks), beds have thin mattresses, and we even saw a large cockroach one day. Staff simply said, “this is Australia.” There’s also no ramp at the entrance, so heavy luggage has to be carried up the stairs. The only real positive is the great location.

OonlinelilyExcellent hotel! The rooms are quite spacious, and come with a fridge, kitchen, and stove, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel is super conveniently located; just a few minutes' walk to the right is the train station, bus station, a large supermarket, and various restaurants. It's easy to get anywhere from here. It's also very close to the airport, accessible by taxi or train. The cheapest option is the bus, which also goes there. It's incredibly convenient!

GGuest UserThe location is excellent — very close to the central station. The hotel entrance is literally right next to Haymarket Station, only about 1 meter away. However, it’s a bit disappointing that the amenities are very limited. There are only tea, coffee, and a kettle provided. In the bathroom, only a toothbrush is included. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner are provided in wall-mounted bottles, which are actually good quality. Another disappointing thing is the loud noise in the early morning, which seems to come from either the housekeeping staff or staff working in the room near the elevator. The door there is slammed very loudly every single morning. I actually found out the source of the noise on my checkout day, so I realized it wasn’t the cleaning staff. Housekeeping usually comes around noon. They can be somewhat loud while talking, depending on who is working that day. The daytime noise is still manageable, but it’s nothing compared to the early morning noise, which really disturbed my sleep after long and exhausting days of traveling. That said, I have to admit the location is amazing for this price. But you do have to tolerate hallway noise every morning, so it depends on what matters more to you.

Kkc matchaThe breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The hotel's location is superb, right by Darling Harbour, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. The views are stunning, with our room directly facing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Opera House. The room itself was very comfortable.

GGuest UserFacilities: Pretty good! I highly recommend the room with a living room and kitchen. It's super convenient – you can buy steak from the supermarket and cook it there. The room also has a washer/dryer combo, which is great for longer stays, making it easy to wash clothes and swimwear. The infinity pool on the rooftop is beautiful. Cleanliness: Quite clean. Environment: I booked a city view, which was nice. I'd recommend booking a Darling Harbour view though, as it seems to offer a really great view. Service: Pretty good, I didn't experience the cold or unhelpful service some people mentioned. They were quite friendly and proactive in helping with luggage and arranging taxis and such!

YYujideyuCleanliness: So-so, lacking in detail. There was still dust on the hairdryer cover. Facilities: The bedding was way too soft, not ideal for Chinese people. When one person lies on it, it just sags.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is excellent. Within a 5 to 10-minute walk, you can reach Chinatown, Paddy's Market, Darling Square, Darling Harbour, and Central Station. The room size was adequate, and it was clean and tidy upon arrival, with daily housekeeping being prompt and thorough. The front desk service was also on point. However, there are a few minor drawbacks: 1. The lighting in the lobby area isn't great; it's generally too dim and looks like it needs a refurbishment. Hopefully, they'll update it soon. 2. We believe our room was in the newer extension of the hotel. There's a noticeable difference in floor levels between the two buildings, and the connection between them is entirely stairs, which is really inconvenient when you have luggage. This also needs an update. 3. The flooring under the carpet in our room was bulging in places and requires maintenance.

GGuest UserWe had a brilliant experience at the Langham for our wedding anniversary! I forgot how much I like the Langham brand. From the pink ribbon around the toilet paper to the sleep ammenities (we asked for the sleep pillow mist and the room diffuser) to the suggested third eye massage technique and the chamomile tea before bedtime, we felt totally pampered and taken care of. Reservation was made for our celebratory dinner with fine steak dinner over the fantastic view of the Opera House. In room breakfast was delivered on time and the quantity copious. The Spanish bell boy was helpful and friendly. We were also upgraded to a harbour view room to our delight. Location was convenient to walk either to Barangaroo or the Rocks, for ferry ride or metro. Very pleased to have chosen The Langham, it was absolutely the right decision for us!
