GGuest UserTaking the Red Line MRT from Kaohsiung Airport, it's a quick ride to Exit 2, and then an 8-minute walk to the hotel. It's really convenient to get around from here. The hotel is very new, and the front desk staff are super friendly and always have a smile when answering questions. They truly make you feel right at home.

The hotel itself is clean you can leave the luggage before your check in. I like the common area next to the reception. It's nice and having snack and drink for Hotel guest. Quite impressive. DDing AlexFacilities of hotel near top niche conditions, probably due to recent renovation or opening. Room is spacious for two. Services of front desk are helpful. Even took time trying to help our cell phone connection issues. Breakfast, although vegetarian only, is tasty and offered a wide variety of choices. Disappointed is about the noises caused by unruly neigbouring guests late at night.

During our trip to Kaohsiung, we decided to stay at PAPO’A Harbor Hotel, and it turned out to be a great choice for exploring the creative harbor district of the city.
The hotel is located just a short walk from Pier-2 Art Center, one of the most vibrant and artistic areas in Kaohsiung. The neighborhood is filled with street art, converted warehouses, cafés, and galleries, making it a perfect place to wander around both during the day and in the evening. Being able to walk back to the hotel after exploring the area was a big plus.
One of the things that makes PAPO’A Harbor Hotel unique is its character. The building used to be a harbor staff dormitory and has been thoughtfully renovated into a boutique hotel. The design blends industrial elements with modern minimal touches, giving the space a calm and slightly artistic atmosphere that fits perfectly with the surrounding Pier-2 district.
Our room was simple but very comfortable. The bed was cozy, the room was clean, and everything felt well maintained. While the hotel focuses more on design and location than luxury facilities, it provides everything you need for a pleasant stay. Some rooms even offer partial views of the harbor, which adds to the experience of staying in this port city.
Another great advantage is transportation. The Light Rail stop is only a few minutes away, making it easy to reach other parts of Kaohsiung such as Love River, Central Park, or connect to the MRT system.
Overall, PAPO’A Harbor Hotel is a lovely boutique stay for travelers who appreciate design, convenience, and a relaxed harbor atmosphere. It may not be a large luxury hotel, but its charm, location, and unique character make it a memorable place to stay in Kaohsiung.

GGuest UserNice budget friendly hotel with good buffet breakfast included. Couldn't find any instrns to get to this hotel so document here for future travellers. For those taking either Red line (from Zuoying HSR) or Taiwan railways to Kaohsiung station, head towards exit 2, go up a couple of escalators till u reach a big open atrium n see the Taiwan Railway Information lobby, walk to the side with big sundial. Take the escalator on the right to ground level (Jianguo 3rd road) and you will see the hotel on the opposite side of the road. My family stayed in 2 rooms. One of the room had the sink outside the toilet. Not good because the water and drain pipe can be noisy. Free coffee and tea available in the lobby and free use of laundry machines. There is a row of fast food outlets next to hotel, supermarket PX Mart abt 10 minutes walk away. 15 to 20 minutes walk to Liuhe night market.

The lighting of the room was a bit too dim for me, but it wasn't a problem during the day as there was plenty of sunlight from the window. What I like about is that they put a coffee table and an armchair by the window, making it quite enjoyable to do some reading during the day. The location is a okay, around 10-15 minutes walk from the closest MRT station. The way to the station was clear and had a variety of local shops to explore.
