The hotel is great, location is more than excellent just next to the train station and bus terminal, breakfast is good, room is comfortable, but there is a big downside: the room is very cold (October). Heating system is only on from 7 to 9 pm and then from 7 to 9 am, so the room is very cold. Apart from that, it is a great option.

Sally is so great. She even loan us a wal power adapter we badly need it. She and her friendly hotal staffs arranged a courtesy shuttle to train station. Wow! buffet breafast was the widest variety we have ever seen! we don't need a lunch! i will definitely recommend this hotel in my Los angeles based Burmese newspapers serving rapidly growing Burmese community for sure.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The staff are helpful and kind, they have plenty of water and even tea. But the real gem is the room layout. It's so clever, cute and comfortable. A rarity in Xining, this room is also air-conditioned (necessary in summer). The bedding is so comfortable. The view is lovely. The shower has great pressure. The location is ideal! Two small things: the room smelled like smoke when I entered, and I would prefer that hotels didn't contribute plastic waste by using disposable towels.

The hotel is extremely close to the train station, it's literally in the train station square. On the other side of the square there's the bus terminal which is very convenient to get to kumbum monastery. The staff was very nice, they let me heat the baozi i bought at the supermarket (which unfortunately weren't tasty) the room is very big and they even gave us a sewing kit.

The rooftop offers expansive views, and the free gym and laundry room are a great touch, making the facilities very thoughtful. A five-star experience, highly recommended.

AAmideeI was extremely impressed with the room. The way it is designed has been very well thought out and it looks as lovely as it is comfortable! The suite had everything we needed including the lovely large bath tub and shower. I loved the space and it would have been ideal for two or three nights in the place. Unfortunately we only stayed for one.
It is located near food markets and restaurants and is very close to the train station. The hotel reception was very professional and extremely helpful, they also arranged a car to take us to the train station.
The breakfast is standard Chinese style breakfast, I thought it was good and filling, and they offer variety of coffee options with their machine, as well as tea.
This hotel is very well organized and designed! I would definitely stay here again if I return to Xining!

GGuest UserOne of the good hotels I have stayed in China especially when talking of “value for money”.
Facility is clean, rooms are spacious (＜40 meters) with good amenities, service is good, the best part was the breakfast which I found to be a good balance of Chinese and English. Foriegners and people with dietary restrictions will have enough to eat.
They also have kids play area on the top floor which my son enjoyed playing.
Location is also good. 15 mins to the railway station by taxi. A shopping mall just 400 meters from the hotel.
I would recommend this hotel if you are coming to Xining.

MMoz CSI had a truly great stay here, largely thanks to the incredible staff. The hotel is located in a fantastic spot - very close to the Dongguan Grand Mosque and Xia Nanguan Street, which is perfect for food shopping and enjoying nighttime street food. The design of the hotel has a nice vintage charm to it—nothing overly flashy, but it's very clean and comfortable, and I had no complaints at all. They also offer private parking, which is really convenient if you're renting a car. What really made my stay special was the service. The staff went above and beyond for me. I was struggling with bad altitude sickness, and without me even saying a word, the front desk team noticed how I was feeling and kindly sent medicine, yogurt, and an oxygen canister to my room. That kind of care means so much. Later that night, my room was a bit too warm, and even though it was late, the night staff happily helped me switch rooms. I’m so grateful. A special thank you to Ms. Ma Ping for all her help and kindness. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Xining—you'll be in good hands here.
我在这家酒店住得非常愉快，最主要的原因是这里的服务人员实在太棒了。酒店的位置很好，离东关大清真寺和下南关街都很近，那边非常适合买吃的，晚上也有热闹的街头小吃。酒店的设计带点复古的怀旧风格，不是那种很浮夸的类型，但非常干净舒适，我完全没有任何不满意的地方。酒店还有自己的私人停车场，对于自驾的客人来说非常方便。真正让这次住宿变得特别的是他们的服务。我当时高原反应挺严重的，结果完全不用我开口，前台的工作人员看到我的状况后，主动送来了药、酸奶和一瓶氧气到我的房间。这种细心和关怀真的让人很感动。晚上我的房间有点太暖，尽管已经很晚了，夜班的工作人员还是很乐意帮我换了房间，我真的很感激。特别感谢马平女士对我所有的帮助。我一定会把这家酒店推荐给要来西宁的旅客 - 你们在这里一定会被好好照顾的。

Tthe_wanderlust_jellyWas told I am given a free room upgrade, but honestly I can't tell the difference. Also the room in the listing image was larger and brighter but the actual room I received was extremely rather grim looking, not to mention it doesn't even look like half the room size in the listing image. I also can't seem to adjust the aircon temp as it will remain at room temperature no matter what I set, however xining is quite cooling in general so it's still acceptable. In the room I was give, the glass panel at the washroom side had a severely cracked side which seem like it will break if I had closed the glass door too hard. I took a video immediately before using the toilet in case it really does get shattered, but luckily it did not Very unsafe nevertheless. The shower was the worst, every night I had to gamble if it will be cold or scalding hot water. I set the shower value slightly towards the warm side, and the water became scalding hot within seocnds, and if I move it to the cold side, it became freezing cold within seconds. Even if I set it exactly in the middle, it will give me either one of the extreme temperature. Had to keep adjusting from hot to cold so that it stay at a comfortable and safe temp range. The toilet bowl flush in a very stupid manner too, by first flooding the bowl from bottom up, this means that if you took a dump and it's a slightly sticky one, it's gonna stick. The electric kettle was so noisy when turned on that it sound like a train passing right beside my room. And speaking of noise, the sound proofing of the room was one of the worst of every single hotel I stayed in before. You can literally hear new occupants dragging their luggage or family chattering non stop right after they exit the lift. FYI, my room was literally the furthest away. Every time your neighbors from 3 room away turn on their tap water, you can hear it, even if that's like 4am in the night. The hairdryer is a safety hazard too. Tried to use it once and after plugging in and turning it on, smoke immediately came oozing out of it, so I immediately switched it off and remove the plug. Never used it since. Oh yes one last thing I have to say is that as a hotel PLEASE NEVER USE MOVEMENT OR VOICE CONTROLLED LIGHTINGS. While I wash up every day, I had to keep waving my hands like an ***** every few minutes in order to prevent the lights from going out. The detection is sooooo off that unless there's a huge action at the correct spot, it will not turn the lights back. This was absolutely annoyance.
However the things I mentioned above are although not welcomed, but can be tolerated.
Personally, the only thing I really love about this was the free tea. And that is also a highly recommended must try. I believe that's ******* black tea which is also a local specialty. I regret not trying earlier because at the latter of my trip, I no longer pass by stores that sells ******* black tea. Recommendation to the hotel is include a way to buy some of this tea.
Overall, I will only recommend the hotel to someone who do not have any other choice or have a lower budget in mind.

GGuest UserNice room with view from neighborhood. It's 30min walk from downtown but there are plenty of restaurants and markets nearby. I was the only guest during the 4 nights I was there, so not much of an atmosphere despite the nice social areas. The heating system (underfloor) works only in the night so it's a bit chill during the day. There are hot showers and possibly of doing laundry (10yuan a load).

SShiyuedeguangThe hotel is located in the city center with convenient transportation, and it's next to Shuijing Lane, offering plenty of dining options. The hotel staff are warm and attentive, and there are Want Want snacks available throughout the hotel, with small treats provided daily. However, the facilities and equipment are indeed quite outdated; hopefully, they can be upgraded soon.

MM318961****The price was affordable when I checked in, and the room was clean and tidy. I stayed for three nights, and the housekeeping staff cleaned the room thoroughly. Although the room was small, it was adequate overall. The hotel's decor was quite nice, and it was very close to the food street. The front desk staff were friendly. The only drawback was that the toilet area in the bathroom was small, and the toilet seat could not be fully tilted back. When men urinated, the toilet seat would often fall down, making it easy to urinate on the toilet, which was not very hygienic and affected subsequent use. I suggest the hotel find a way to improve this!

AAnonymous UserStaying at the Boway Hotel was an absolutely fantastic experience! The location is superb, just a few minutes' walk to the bus stop, making it super convenient for getting around and shopping. The room was clean and tidy, with soft and comfortable bedding. The bathroom had a great wet/dry separation and no unpleasant odors. The facilities were well-maintained, and both the air conditioning and WiFi worked perfectly. The staff were warm and attentive, handling check-in and check-out efficiently, and even proactively offered local sightseeing tips. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh ingredients. It's incredibly good value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit!
