Amazing
GGuest UserThe first thing I'll write about Richmond Hotel Premier Sendai Ekimae is the good location. It's right next to Aobadori Station, but there is only a stairway down. An elevator is located not too far away, and I'll get to that in the last part of this review. The lobby of the hotel has a nice ambience, and the hotel offers one complimentary drink and a complimentary bowl of soba noodles. Since the majority of hotel guests take advantage of these offers, the lobby and bar can be crowded during both day and night (until 22:00). The staff whom I interacted with, especially the young lady upon check-in, were all very friendly and helpful. Water coolers are available on each floor next to the elevators, so if it's late at night and you're out of water, you don't have to go far. This is a good service by the hotel. I really like the fact that from the ground level, you can take the elevator directly up to your room floor, bypassing the usually busy and crowded lobby. When it comes to sound insulation between rooms, unfortunately this was not too good. I was able to hear my neighbours banging their limbs, suitcases, clothes hangers etc. against the walls. I didn't really hear talking, but that's probably because my neighbours were Japanese and talked to each other in low tones (non-Japanese people should emulate this). As for noise from the streets, my room faced another building (which was what I requested), so I didn't hear much traffic noise. The shower temperature in my first room fluctuated badly. It would be hot for about 30 seconds, then it turned cold for a minute, then hot again for 15 seconds, then cold again for a long time. The hotel staff helped me switch to a different room, and the shower temperature in the second room was fine. The furniture in the rooms are a bit old, but that's not a big issue. The fridges on the other hand are too small and not cold, the hotel should purchase larger and better units. A nitpick of mine is having to use the television to choose the 'Do Not Disturb' sign for the cleaners. I'd much rather a switch next to the door, or the traditional sign to hang on the doorknob. I did not have breakfast at the hotel nor did I use any of the facilities, so I have no comment on those services. Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel and would recommend it to others. I hope that in the future the sound insulation between rooms can be vastly improved, and that the hotel can provide physical 'Do Not Disturb' signs or switches. Side note: If you have large luggage and need an elevator, you have to walk south just a little along Atagokamisugi-dori, and soon you'll see an elevator to the underground station. When you get into this elevator, get to the lowest level, and when walking to Sendai station via the underground passage, there is another elevator in an oddly-angled corner. Amazing
GGuest UserAmazing hotel with great service. All the amenities provided are top notch, and perhaps being a business hotel, it comes with everything imaginable in your room. Fridge, water kettle, pajamas, notepad and pen, alarm clock (yes, analog Casio), USB C-A converter because the bed still has USB A socket, takubin (luggage delivery) forms, trouser press, shoe brush, etc, etc. I think their motto is don't wait until the guest ask for it, just make sure it's available. They really anticipated everything. Starbucks and 711 on the 1st floor. Wanted to try the restaurant on the 13th floor, but because I had no reservation, and there were already many people there, sadly they turned me away.

ZzhglongThis was my second stay at this hotel. Coincidentally, it was during a Japanese long weekend, and the room rate for two nights skyrocketed from over 800 to nearly 1500 yuan. The bed also downsized from 1.6m to 1.4m. My experience declined, but that's not the hotel's fault, it's my wallet's fault.

GGuest UserThe hotel staff were incredibly helpful, and even the cleaning team offered warm greetings, creating a very pleasant atmosphere throughout. The amenities were plentiful, and above all, the room was spotlessly clean. What truly impressed me was that the room came fully equipped with ReFa brand essentials: a straightener, curling iron, hairdryer, and even a ReFa shower head – it was absolutely fantastic! The excellent location was another huge plus, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, which was incredibly convenient.

GGuest UserThis hotel in Sendai is extremely friendly to international travelers. One of the staff members can speak Chinese, which was incredibly helpful for us. She assisted us with many things during our stay and helped arrange luggage storage before check-in, making everything very smooth and convenient. The room is also slightly larger compared to many hotels in Japan, which made the stay more comfortable. The location is excellent as well — it is very close to Sendai Station, and there are supermarkets and many shops nearby, making it very convenient. Overall, it was a wonderful stay and there is really nothing to complain about. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers visiting Sendai.

NNiushegaifanTraveling solo to Sendai for an ice show, and this hotel was such a comfortable base for my first trip! It's super close to Sendai Station, with a convenience store and restaurants right downstairs. Plus, there's a Don Quijote and Daiso nearby, so you could easily spend a lot of happy time just exploring the immediate area. The facilities are great too; you can grab disposable toiletries yourself, and both the desk area and bathroom were really comfortable.

GGuest UserI absolutely loved this chain hotel. It's conveniently located very close to the station, though I'd recommend using navigation for the most straightforward route. Upon exiting the station, the easiest way is to head up to the second floor, walk a short distance, cross the street, and then take the stairs down. The room was a good size, and the layout was very practical.

YyukeyThe room was not bad, the service was very good, the standard Japanese-style economy hotel, Japanese-style service, would not disappoint. Surrounded by residential areas, it is quiet. Although it is a little far from Sendai Railway Station, I have walked past it. It is fine to go.
