"The hotel is very old and evrything is ok. But the location is excellent, just at the Octagon, very close to the St Pauls Cathedral. You can walk to The First Church, The Otago Museum, The Otago University and The Dunedin Railway Station. The Baldwin Street is 15 minutes drive from the hotel. Highly recommended if you plan to do some city walk."
"Good room, love how there is the privacy in all of the beds with close curtain, love the closeliness and cozy of the guest lounge. Wish there is a charger place right inside the beds."
"The hotel is very convenient as it's located in the central city, Every attraction and food outlet is approx 10 to 15 minutes walk which I don't mind. The hotel provides a breakfast buffet all day and dinner from 6pm to 9pm. The customer service is very professional and friendly! I got a king bedroom that also includes air conditioning which is very cosy. The bed is very comfortable, however am not really a fan with soft pillows. They have plenty of amenities and facilities in the room, i love the experience and have a nice sunrise view in the morning. Would definitely recommend to family and friends to stay."
"Very near to city centre. The hotel have a casino and many Resturants nearby. Just 8mins drive have a good Resturant called Golden Island n the food is great. Will stay again next time in this hotel.."
"Street parking is free before 9 am, and nighttime parking is very convenient. There's a large slope, so dragging your suitcase up was a bit of a struggle. There are restrooms both upstairs and downstairs, which is great. The showers are on the first floor, unisex. The laundry room is from 9 am to 4 pm, which is a bit inconvenient; we checked in late, so I couldn't do laundry, and there's a charge. The facilities are generally quite complete. By the way, you need to bring your own slippers, shower gel, and shampoo. New Zealand doesn't provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or slippers, so remember to bring your own. You need to remove the leaflets and bed linens yourself when you leave and throw them in the laundry room on the first floor. The overall environment and facilities are very friendly, and I would recommend it."
"Ideal location if you want to avoid town and stay near the beach. I enjoyed evening walk from hotel to Saint Kilda beach. It was less than 5 km for return trip."
"The view was nice. I could park right in front, so it was easy to bring my luggage back and forth. I wish I had come a little earlier and made it like a vacation. I came too late."

Great
GGuest UserVery happy with our Accomodation at Aria on Bank Dunedin. The self contained unit for a couple was modern, very clean, fresh & well presented. Free (No fee) use of laundry ( washing machine & dryer) for all tenants to use. Our room was missing a frying pan which i needed to cook. I contacted the front desk, the gentleman receptionist immediately ran & I mean ran to our unit to confirm it was missing & sure enough none to be located. He left & returned a couple mins later with a replacement frying pan & utensil. Outstanding service. AAA+++ RATING for service & excellence.
GGuest UserSuch a lovely stay with my partner, all staff were very friendly and accommodating. Such a nice place to stay, rooms were so clean and beyond beautiful!
CCanadian wandererThus hotels most appealing benefit is its location. It’s a short walk to the octagon, historical railway station and the excellent (and free admission) Pioneer Museum. It’s a short is also only a couple of streets from George Street which has lots of shopping and restaurants. A block away is a large supermarket for groceries. The room size is adequate with a fridge and kettle. The carpet could use a good cleaning. The main issue was with the shower. It has no enclosure and although the floor is sloped towards the drain we had to put towels around the floor to stop water from running everywhere. The towels and bath mat naturally got soaked. For the price and location I would recommend this hotel if you are. It looking for anything upscale.
MMichael V.We were in the“Seabreaze“ apt, which was very clean and had the exact great views over the beach as described. The bed was comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our breakfast. While it was cold outside, the heating inside kept us warm and cozy. Parking in the garage underneath, or right beside the building for a larger car. Important to mention the Italian restaurant just 100m away at the corner, which is our absolute favourite when coming to Dunedin! We highly recommend staying at the Esplanade Apartments and will book again in the future.
TTommy_dejoReally nice looking room and a very good price performance ratio. And you even get a complimentary drink. Room was nice and warm upon arrival. I didnt really understand the self checkin for a second, cause i didnt know the rooms were directly at the parkinglot, where the whiteboards and the name are written. Really easy and useful for a fast checkin and checkout. I would stay there again.
GGuest UserWe was late about 10min checked in at night. But the person in charge was still very friendly n helpful to helped us carried the luggage due to there was some distance from my car to the building that we stayed. Overall was cool and comfortable. The location was great and perfect as just very close to the octagon.
GGuest UserGood location and affordability. Single room is tiny but restaurant and bar are quite nice. Just 100meters to railway station and octogenarian square.50 meters to Woolworth supermarket. Good stay!!!
