Beautiful and cozy hotel, with a lovely greek architecture with white and blue buildings. Family friendly with nice pools of different sizes. The hotel has a lovely beach surrounded by trees, free sun beds annd umbrellas and free facilities: paddle board, capac. Nice and friendly employees.

Nicest place we have been in Greece and we have been to many island resorts. Rooms are great and clean. Food is excellent and staff is very friendly. Beach is perfect, calm clear and safe. One annoying issue could bother some. Standing in shallow foot water the fish suck on your feet and ankles. Ones you actually enter it goes away. Hotel cant do anything about that and we see that at some Greek beaches. We are returning because you cant beat the beach and if you have a car you can drive to many beaches and roads are all paved and safe but narrow in some places. This is a great island. Our favorite. Downtown not as nice as Chania in Crete or Corfu but beaches are spectacular.

After many holidays in Greece we tried the Ionian group of Islands and had an 11 night stay on Lefkas at the Porto Galini Hotel, the room was smaller than we thought and a little cramped, lovely pool area, very relaxed, plenty of sun beds, good breakfast with an amazing choice of food. Hotel was big, built on several levels and no good for anyone with mobility issues, the staff whizzed about in golf carts. It was a bit like being on the set of The Prisoner which was filmed at Portmeirion, the architecture reminded me of that, a sort of fairy tale village. The downside was that it was quite isolated from other towns and resorts, there was a bus stop nearby with no shade and no pavement and on a busy road, but the hotel was landscaped and the staff were very nice, friendly and accommodating, views were lovely, gorgeous sunsets. Boat trips round several islands are worth doing and Lefkas has nice beaches but take foot protection as the sand is made of rough stones and is not soft! Good, reasonably priced food in cafes and resturants in neighbouring resorts, the Hotel food purchased (for those not on half or full board) was a little bit pricy as were drinks presumably because there was little competition in the area from other large hotels. If you are going for two weeks it's probably better to go half board, you'll have plenty of choice and the food is good.

Another exceptional stay at Porto Galini After loving our stay last year we decided to come back for a relaxing week away from work and the U.K. Everything at the hotel was perfect We stayed in a superior sea view room which was worth the additional cost Very comfortable and clean room with amazing views from the large balcony The food was excellent with a huge choice of high quality products at breakfast and dinner The staff are so helpful and friendly particularly those in maintenance, reception, the main restaurant and housekeeping The beach was dreamy looking out across the Ionian sea to the mountains of mainland Greece The pools were beautiful,clean and well maintained The whole hotel and extensive ground are immaculate and a pleasure to walk around Thank-you for a wonderful holiday and I’m already looking forward to coming back one day soon

This has to be the place for you.....after an amazing time in 2022 we headed back this august. This place is truly beautiful and so restful. We stayed in a ground floor room which suited us well as the kids could come and go to the room as they needed. Although our room didn't have a sea view that didn't matter as just a few steps away is the most of beautiful views and to be honest we didn't spend much time in our room as there is too much to do and soak up. The food selection was brilliant and for ease we went half board... the kids had plenty of choice. The sunrises and sunsets are truly spectacular and I had to get my early morning swims in.....if you have never got up and swam as the sun rises try it here. On the last day I got the whole family up to swim.....memories that will last forever. The staff were ace and it was fantastic to see lots of familiar faces from last year. The beach and its facilities were amazing clean. The fact that within a few minutes you have your own private beach is ace. The clear water, the blue and greens are just perfect. As last year there is a bus stop just outside of the hotel with easy routes to get out n about the island. Or of course there are taxis and the hotel staff can arrange this for you... just book in advance if you need to be at a certain point at a certain time. We didn't have any issues with this but it's a bit of a tip. I don't think I have all the words to express how brilliant this hotel is but let's just say it's a little bit special...book it and see

We had a truly fantastic holiday on Lefkas. The hotel is probably the best we have ever stayed in. Can’t extol it’s virtues enough. Pure quality. We were on Bed and Breakfast basis. Fabulous breakfast. We ate in the hotel nearly every night as the food quality was so good. Suite and balcony spacious, and quality of furnishing and beds amazing. Had a wonderful day out on the island just the two of us with a Guide, Hazel, who was very knowledgeable and recommended by Olympic Holidays. We discovered the real Lefkas, the villages and mountains, and where the Med meets the Ionian sea. Truly spectacular. We had one day of torrential rain and thunderstorms, so our planned boat trip was cancelled. However, it dried up quickly and the sun came out and it was lovely and warm again. The Hotel’s amazing private beach is right on the doorstep. The azure sea was very calm, crystal clear and 24 degrees. The fish swam right up to the shore. Plenty of sun beds. Super beach bar service. Daily towel change. Paddle boards and canoes were inclusive. Could not find a fault. Would highly recommend this hotel and location.

This hotel is a little piece of paradise. The island of Lefkada is absolutely stunning and so is the hotel. It is a 5 min taxi journey away from the small buzzing town but even in the height of Summer it is so peaceful. The private beach is just stunning, so lovely not to have to fight you way through the crowds. The staff are so friendly and the food is great. It is in such a beautiful location with 2 lovely pools and the private beach. Nothing gets over crowded and there are always plenty of sunbeds.

We loved our holiday. The hotel and staff were superb. We had a great room in the hotel part, at the top, the views were incredible. We had a big patio too. Other rooms are spread out in little blocks of houses down the hill. All pretty with blue shutters. Some may not have a view over the sea but to be honest there are a lot of chairs dotted about to sit on your own anyway. It’s set on a large area but not actually many rooms so it’s never busy or noisy. No crowds or noise. We had a suite at the top… and it was actually 188 steps from there to the beach and restaurant at the bottom so do think about your mobility! There is a path that weaves around the sides so you can avoid steps and also the buggy truck gave people lifts with suitcases. We were met this way and suitcases taken to our room. Beach was amazing. Very clear. Deep very quickly but lovely to swim and free kayaks and paddle boards. A life guard full time and you must wear a life jacket. Always enough boats for everyone. Lots of fish by the shore so take a snorkel. Free sun beds and parasols and always plenty available! I’d read it was stony, I took beach shoes because of this but we didn’t need them, it’s fine, they are soft pebbles. Plenty of trees if you want a bit of shade. (Weather was great end of September, hot high 20’s) We didn’t use the pools as always on the beach. Breakfast was fabulous. We loved the fresh to order omelettes and squeezed juice. Lots of fruit muesli bread cheeses egg bacon pastries too. Evening meal had a great selection too. And ice cream and lovely deserts. I couldn’t fault it. There is a bus stop straight outside the hotel, to Nidri was 3 euros. you can also go to nikiana .It was a regular service, every hour I think. We went there and walked along the boats. And plenty of shops there too. You can also walk to the waterfall from Nidri bus stop. Not much water in September though, but a nice walk. Bar area is lovely. Staff all polite and smiley. Lunch time food from the bar was great! Lovely salads and pizza and sandwiches. Prices were fine, same as uk. No entertainment though, but a musician one night at dinner. We would definitely return, a lovely chilled holiday.

Stayed for a week from late September to early October and found the hotel to be excellent. Very friendly staff, very clean and tidy, amazing views, great breakfast spread and good facilities (found the free paddleboards and kayaks to be a great way of breaking up the day). Hired a car from nearby Nidri and ate there each night so can't comment on dinner, but overall would definatwly recommend Porto Galini!
