Hotels Near Cleverley in London

We had a lovely stay at St Giles, London. Well located hotel, near to Tottenham Court Road Station, bus stops, supermarkets, shops, eateries, theatres etc. From Heathrow Airport, we took the Elizabeth line to Tottenham Court Road Station and hotel was just a short walk away. The British museum was also nearby. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. As we arrived rather early, Nikki helped us to secure a room earlier than official check in time, so that we can put our luggages and rest. The concierge guys were great, giving advice on how best to get to our destination. The Chinese gentleman, sorry, I didn't get his name, even helped me with my Bolt app bookings! We booked 2 new twin rooms. Although they were small, they were sufficient for 2 pax in each room. All amenities that we needed were available and rooms were cleaned thoroughly when we returned from our sightseeing. There was no air conditioner in the rooms but weather was great, so we had no issues. The breakfast served was excellent, with a wide variety. Good choice for our short stay in London.

We use Royal National each time we visit London which can be a few times a year, in the beginning for location, (its a 5 min walk from Russell Square tube station, 10 mins from the British museum and 15 mins from Oxford Street) but now for its cleanliness and friendliness of the staff, this time we had a complimentary upgrade into a fresh new updated room, the beds are always comfortable and the room is always extremely clean nothing is a problem for the cleaning team and extras such as tea milk etc is always provided as soon as requested. The onsite pub is also a plus offering meals aswell as an outdoor seating area with large screen tv this time showing the euro matches, it wasnt loud or rowdy and being at the back of the hotel we heard nothing. We will continue to use the hotel for each visit we make to London.

Only 1 - 2 min walk from Russell Square Underground station. Comfortable bed and room is ok to fit in 2 adults and 1 kid. However there were insufficient room for us to open our luggage. We had to open the luggage one after one to take out our clothes. No drinking water was provided hence we had to buy from convenience store and carried back to hotel. Good thing is Tesco is only opposite the underground station. Wish to suggest to provide adequate trainings to front desk staff. When we checked in we were informed that our booking was canceled. (I have fully paid for the room upon booking) I showed to the staff the booking details but she still insisted our booking has been canceled, instead she asked me to call to the agent and get the agent to contact the hotel. I had no choice but to “follow her instructions” to do so. After 10 min trying to contact the agent (due to different time zone), the front desk staff called me “madam” many times from her counter (it was about 300m away and I was not aware that she was calling me), and told me that she has found my booking. When I asked the reason why initially the booking was canceled but now it was found, she did not answer me but to pass me the room key. After checked in to the room, noticed that both the lamps near the bed were not functioning and we called to front desk (only 1 light in front of the washroom was working). We were informed that the one who is able to fix it has left and we had to wait till the next morning to get the lamps fixed. Eventually they sent us a table lamp for that night.

Overall experience Was amazing . Was able to check earlier because my flight got to London in the morning. Staff was so nice and welcoming. Breakfast buffet was perfect, room was spacious and the view from 17th floor was breathtaking. Got complimentary cake and wine and I loved it..the only issue was the elevator. Had only two elevator and it was always busy and crowded but asides that, I really enjoyed my stay and definitely coming back.

I used to use this hostel back when it was under YHA management. I’ve always picked it for its close proximity to Euston and King’s Cross. This is the first time I’ve been back since it changed hands. Glad to report that the hostel is still as it was. Polite and helpful staff, modern rooms with beds that have individual lights and charging sockets, lockers for valuables, clean and well kept bathrooms, a bar area downstairs to eat and have drinks if you desire. I stayed in a 6-bed female only dorm and was happy with my stay. Bed was comfortable, my items were safe (locks can be purchased behind the reception for £4), and the sockets can charge multiple devices with the dual USB sockets + a regular 3-pronged socket. Will advise that you turn the main room light off when you want go to sleep as my co-inhibitors left the main light on all night on my last night for some reason. The one area they could improve on was having another pillow on the beds. Mine was so used that it was mostly flat and made very little difference to my comfort.

Pros: Location is good, 5-7mins walk from king cross station and st. Pancras. Easy access to many places. Staff is friendly. Rooms are clean. Safe as you need card to go into the lift to your room. Cons: Luggage storage is chargeable. Water pressure is low thus will need longer time to shower. Room are not sound proof. Door doesn’t have stopper, thus it slams everytime. Definitely recommend to stay!

The staff was very nice and the whole place was full of young people. It definitely is a youth hostel and the place isn’t as big as other ones so it’s not super loud. Although the stairs are a little loud so that might wake you up. We stayed in a private room with bunk beds and they gave you towels and the shower was pretty good. The room was small as to be expected but it definitely wasn’t worth $180 a night when you could just pay for a bigger hotel room. The location was nice right by Hyde park and some free museums.

Interesting stay! I wasn't sure about the girl on reception as she didn't give me my suitcase at first, when I collected my bags. However, I just remembered I saw a ticket on the floor so she must have dropped it and I didn't realise it was mine! 😂 Sorry. My room key and TV had minor issues on my second night and the lift is a bit rickety. However, overall a pleasant stay for the price: decent location, clean, compact and cute room and okay breakfast (in a beautifully decorated little room with attentive staff). In fact the staff were all great really and are polite. So, I recommend. Thank you.

I stayed for 1 night recently at wombats on dock st. The hostel is perfectly located close to two underground stations and in central london. The hostel itself is very modern, clean and spacious. The manager zsuzska and staff at wombats are kind and friendly. The check in process was quick and the breakfast was a bargain at £4.90. The room itself was perfect and i slept very well in the comfy bed. I would highly recommend wombats to anyone travelling to london. Thank you zsuzska and wombats for a perfect stay. Dave

To here because of catching the flight after checking out from the uni student hall. The hotel is close to Terminal 4 of Heathrow Airport and the instructions for going to the hotel are clear, just about 5 minutes from the terminal exit near Heathrow Terminal 4. Go upstairs via the lift to the level written 'hotel'. The staff is very nice and they allow me to check in at about 12PM which is normally after 14PM without any charges. The staff is friendly and willing to solve problems. The room I got is really nice and see no dust or trash in the room. The bed is nicely tidy and all the devices in the room like tv, clothes iron and its desk, dryer, etc. The free breakfast included for all guests is not very impressive but fair enough. It's a buffet and it had bread, beans, bacon, sausage, etc, just a classic all-day breakfast you can get in the UK. The check out process is simple, just drop the card into the box named Check Out and you can freely leave.
