Ruoxi Hotel Reviews

This is essentially a 2 stars (3 stars of not for the breakfast) hotel, advertised as 4 stars one. Pros: quiet neighbourhood, spacious rooms, very nice and tremendously helpful stuff, free laundry machine with refresher (!). Cons: no fridge, no chairs in room, no tea and coffee, cleaning involves emptying the bin and once (per 4 nights) fresh towels, no foot towel, during our stay the WiFi broke for hours, electricity broke once (it was fastly fixed, though). Booked the hotel as a 4 stars one and were expecting a breakfast as fits for one; but it's two eggs with a salad and a rice porridge; we've decided to decline it and were refunded. Bottom line: has the hotel been advertised as 2 stars, we would have been prepared; and would have chosen accordingly.

This hotel is run by a Chinese owner. The location is a bit far from the main attractions, but the town itself is quite small. Personally, I prefer not to stay right next to tourist spots. The hotel also has a small balcony, which is a nice touch and quite comfortable.

The hotel is quite large with lots of greenery. There's a big supermarket about 600 meters away that stocks a lot of Chinese products. The hotel rooms are clean, with particularly high ceilings and a small balcony. The owner is Chinese, very friendly and easy to communicate with. My only suggestion would be to add a mini-fridge to the rooms.

The room offers great value for money, and the brother and sister who own the place are incredibly warm and welcoming. They made me feel right at home in Laos. If I ever come back, I'll definitely stay here again.

The staff was very kind and offered complimentary water throughout the stay. Also the room was nice and had everything that’s needed.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Ruoxi. The hotel is run by a family which was super nice, providing us with water whenever we left the hotel. The room was also very clean. :)

Good hotel. Good location. Pleasant quiet patio. Friendly lady who did her best to please us, European guests. The morning we left the hotel, we were too early for breafast but she made sandwiches while we were waiting for the tucktuck. 1 negative point : the internet in the hotel is rather weak and not very reliable.

The owner isn't very talkative but is helpful when needed. Room 207's bathroom had a bad odor. When I tried to switch rooms around 11 PM, the front desk attendant on duty said they couldn't help because they didn't know how to use the computer. They just sprayed some air freshener, which didn't do anything, so I was stuck with the smell all night.

This is the second time I have extended my room. Probably the best hotel in the town. The restaurant next to the hotel provides a good beef noodle. I will definitely come back again！

it is a beautiful place with court yard. i will book again.

Travelled here with a friend and when we checked in we got up to the room and it was full of spiders and cobwebs. It was like a trial on I’m a celebrity. Spoke to reception and a man came with a brush and killed them but we found lizards on the floor and more spiders so asked if we could be moved room. Moved room and the second room was the same full of spiders and webs. Aircon was very poor and didn’t cool the room. Staff were very happy to help but I would not stay here again.

Room was mildly modern, the shower always had hot water which was great. However cleanliness let the room down, many cobwebs and mosquitoes flying around the rooms due to doors being left open during the day by staff.

I was impressed with this hotel from the moment I checked in. The staff were very welcoming. The room was clean and tidy, the bed was soft and comfortable, and the amenities were complete. The location is good, close to restaurants and tourist attractions, and easy to get around. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of options, perfect for both relaxation and sightseeing. I will definitely stay here again if I have the opportunity.
